I tried to make an Android program where I can call a single number by clicking button. Works fine but as I end calling, the emulator shows call log. Instead of this I would that my program returns to the screen where is that calling button I made.

Not sure if there is a thread for this but after I end a call the screen goes to my call log. is there a way to disable that so it goes back to my home screen?
View 6 Replies View Relatedso the phone does the great thing of recognizing when you're using the phone on a call but if you hold the phone with you shoulder or just not right against your face it activates the screen and you hang up on people. does anyone know how (or if) you can turn that function off so that if you want to activate the screen during a call you have to press a button or physically activate the screen?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using commitva z71 category phone. (motorola quench xt3 xt502).
I had been using cyanogenmod roms on it. presently i have CM 7.1 EAV 7.2. The roms usually came with ADW launcher as default. But one problem I have been facing is that some times my phone does not respond to press of any button, not even power button after ending a call. The screen however goes off and does not light up.
I have to either remove the battery, replace it and restart or I have to make a call to my phone from another phone. When I give a missed call, the phone gets activated. But when I press Menu button, it brings up the keyboard instead of Menu.
This problem has been persisting whichever version of CM Rom I have been using.
The problem aggravates when I use Go Launcher as my default launcher by using Launcher Switcher. When I use ADW as default lanucher but have Go Launcher also on my phone, sometimes the defaults are cleared and I am asked to choose the launcher to finish the task of closing phone app.
Initially, I thought this was the problem of default phone app. So I tried dialer one from play store, but to no avail.
Is there a way to delete the ADW launcher that comes with the custom ROM?
After I end a call and press home a white screen with htc in green letters pops up and then a grey "loading" box for about 10-15 seconds.

I accidently call people and this was very handy. It pulled up the home screen rather than displaying the phone. However, when the recent update was pushed over the air, my phone shut down and required a hard reset. The app was lost and I can't remember the name. Does anyone know?
A side question: Was this update the switch to 2.0 for the Eris? I ran the update, but my phone still says it is running the 1.5 firmware. I obviously had a serious problem with the update and I am not sure it came through.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDuring a call, I will hold the phone away from my face to see how many minutes I've been talking. Normally, it will correctly show me the call screen, however, sometimes it will flash the home screen briefly before going back to the call screen. There seems to be no rhyme or reason about when this happens. Even worse, sometimes it flashes the home screen briefly and will go to a blank screen. I will then need to press the home key in order for it to return to the call screen. This happens sometimes, as well, when I finish the call. Previously, I had the Not Call Log application installed but I've removed it. Also, I previously had my screen timeout set to one minute but changed that to thirty minutes. So far, I love the Evo, but I am having three problems with it. And they are getting annoying. First off, some applications will randomly terminate. It started out being regular downloaded applications that would just end. Whatever, it was bearable albeit annoying. But now, sometimes important applications like "Touch Screen" (I don't think that's the exact name) are starting to terminate randomly. That made it so that I couldn't text (rebooting the phone restarted the application).Two, I seem to manage to accidentally press the screen in a random place just about once per minute when I'm holding the phone. It's getting to the point where I feel like it's starting to push random buttons when I just press the sides of the phone. I don't know, it's tough to describe. Also, there seems to be some other shortcut screen that pops up every so often. It's a small box in the middle of the screen that shows my six most recently used apps. I have no idea why it pops up, or how, but I would actually like to use it if I could figure out how to do it.
Three,lastly, it seems to lock up a lot. It just freezes, just like a computer would. It's probably done this about ten times now.So is anyone else having any problems like this? It's starting to get very annoying. Big blemishes for such an amazing phone... it makes me sad to think this has so many interfering problems.
Minor inconvienance. However,it is annoying that when i end a call the phone does not go back to the home screen but stays in the phone/contacts menu.Anyway to default back to home screen when a call is ended?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.

This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
I am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?

Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.
