Motorola Droid :: Androidforums / Tapatalk No Longer Work?
Jul 17, 2010I have been trying to log in and use my tapatalk app for the forums and it is no longer working. it says it has been deactivated? Anyone else experience this?

Jul 20, 2010When I'm on the forum and push the search button, the search forums box pops up. I tap the text box and the keyboard pops up. But when I start typing, the keyboard disappears and a white bar appears on the bottom of the screen with the first letter that I typed. It happens on this website and some others but not all. Anyone else have this happen?

Apr 24, 2010About 10 minutes ago i tried to hit the home button and it didnt work. I proceded to push the back button and it worked to take to the home screen. I then tried the menu button and it worked. I then tried the search button and it didnt work.Is this a known problem and if so how do i fix it? If theres no fix will verizon give me a replacement?

Jun 25, 2010I have owned my Droid since day 1 and I have been doing Android development, with ADB working, on my Windows 2003 Server laptop all this time. I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Things to note right off the bat: - Motorola Droid 2.1 - Windows Server 2003 laptop - ADB has worked perfectly with this for ~ 8 months My work gave me a HTC Evo to do some development on. I installed the HTC drivers, ADB worked fine, did my development and now I am done with the Evo. The problem is my Droid no longer works with ADB.

Aug 31, 2010After updating to Froyo (Manual Update.zip method), the stock internet browser crashes on load of MULTIPLE sites....including Android forums here.
It loads up a little bit of it...you see some sign of loading...than before it fully loads...CRASH, just closes itself down. This is also true for most of any other forums I visit with the phone. I also noticed a crash from other sites as well. What's the deal? I tried clearing all my history, cookies, etc. on the browser...also tried a couple of battery pulls.
NOTE:
Dolphin Browser HD does not have this behavior....but I would much prefer to continue using Stock browser (It is WAY faster now). ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE.
UPDATE:
In short, it seems most flash DOES NOT work. Whats the deal?

Nov 9, 2009I have a TextView. I want it to ellipsize if longer than its available width. This does not work unless the input string has no spaces... can anyone provide an example of this working? I've tried different combinations of:
singleLine="true"
maxLines="1"
scrollHorizontally="false"
none of these have any effect. Again, if I supply a string that has no spaces in it, then the ellipsis appears correctly. What am I missing? I've tried this on 1.5, 1.6, 2.0, all same problem.
HTC Hero :: Earphone Buttons No Longer Work
May 9, 2010A while ago, the buttons on the earphones that came with my phone just stopped working. Now they no longer accept an incoming call, stop music, skip to next track, go back a track etc. They don't seem to have any functionality. I've tried restarting the phone and things to no avail.

Mar 26, 2010I have purchased the tapatalk pro version. I updated to 2.1 and I cannot get it in the market and I could not back it up because it is marked as private. Am I out of luck until 2.1 is released officially so it will show up in the market or is there any way to just get the apk? I did pay for it so Im not trying to get a free file, but if anyone has a way to get it to me I can provide my recept that was emailed to me to show im honest.There were a few other programs, none paid, but ones I liked that dont work with 2.1's market. gUnit and tv.com for instance. All in all I think since those are the only bugs have personally seen in this software all is good

Jun 2, 2010I previously had my wireless working just fine at home but since I changed my subnet, (new dhcp and dns server installed), the wireless will no longer work. I went from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.10.x.
The wireless seems to connect but then when you browse it will not find anything. It is like it still has an old IP and doesn't know the new route and DG. I did "forget network" and reentered the key etc., but no success. Is there a way to investigate exactly what settings it has or reset everything so it has no idea about old network settings?

May 24, 2010ok, so i just updated my HTC Hero to the new 2.1. So far i am enjoying the updated UI however, i have noticed some changes, for instance, before i could easily assign ringtones to anyone now when i try to assign tones that are saved on my sd card to specific contacts it will not allow me to do so. The phone now only lets me set a default tone which can be any tone (sd card or factory) but all contacts have this tone & i cannot assign specific tones for certain contacts.

It stinks that I paid $300 for a phone with a battery that won't last very long if running applications.I hear all of these commercials about droid being able to walk,talk and chew gum at the same time but they fail to tell you that less than 2 hours later the phone dies.Back to the question,is there a way to make it last longer? I tried screen brightness but then i can't read the phone outside.

Is this a known issue with bugless beast 1.2 that I just have to deal with? I love having my phone rooted but id rather have a fully functioning phone that a rooted phone.

Aug 6, 2010I've had the DroidX a couple of weeks. This morning it stopped ringing on incoming phone calls. It does vibrate. Last time it rang is when I was playing with settings to have it stop ringing when I place if face down. I've undone that facedown setting. Ringer is ON. I've cycled it on/vibrate/off and back ON. Silent Mode is OFF Phone Vibrate is OFF Audible touch tones is ON and I hear tones on phone keypad Volume is Audible.I can select and listen to my ringer tune.

Jun 26, 2010I just purchased this droid about a week ago and everything had been working fine. I synced with doubletwist, I added pictures to it and it charged through the computer. Until last night when I plugged the USB into my computer and a window popped up saying it didn't recognize the USb device, this device has malfunctioned yada yada yada. Motorola doesn't know why, verizon doesn't know why, I can't claim it under warranty( i bought from a friend) and insurance doesn't cover it b/c its a "malfunction".

Jan 22, 2010Well, like others have mentioned in this forum, my Droid has started to get noticeably better battery life. I'm definitely lasting the entire day now, and I think I could go longer if I didn't work in a building with spotty reception at best (constantly switching back and forth from 1X to 3G with 1 bar). Conceivably, I'm not installing as many applications on the phone as I did in the first 1-2 weeks of ownership (I'm on week 2.5) so I'm not hitting the battery as much. But, what I'm really wondering about is if you guys think that a background backup process is running during the first few days (and after new app installations) that eats up battery power. Once the Droid reaches a 'steady' state, the backup process isn't running anymore and the Droid can last longer on a single charge. Does this sound reasonable or am I reaching...or just plain wrong. In which case, why is the battery lasting longer into the day. From my recollection, LiIon batteries don't have a memory affect so cycling them in is unnecessary.

Dec 1, 2010Running the 2.1 UD rom and all of a sudden this morning I can no longer install apps. They DL ok, but never install. Apps are DL from market/appbrain. have not made any changes to the rom. Any suggestions?
