I have handcent but i swear it slows down the phone i just want to know there a away where i can use the enter button to send while i have my keyboard out to send messages rather then tapping the screen to send?

I have installed Dolphin and like it, and I've made it my default browser, which is great. However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm enjoying go sms pro. But I do have one gripe. In the default messaging app, no matter where I'm at in the app (settings, compose, group messages) and I exit/hit home button. When I re-enter the app, I'm viewing my messages by default..
Go sms pro doesnt do this. If I'm in settings and I hit the home screen, then re-enter the app, I'm viewing settings again.. I want to view messages by default.
I switched from my Motorola Droid to the Incredible a few days ago and the one thing I have noticed is that on the Motorola in landscape mode on the touchscreen keyboard was a send button to send the text right from that screen. Is this possible on the incredible in anyway on sense ui? Its driving me nuts to have to lower the keyboard or hit back button to send it. Any idea? I know its a minimal problem, but its annoying to me.

I'm using GMail by default on my phone because it allows me to have my mail pushed to me. Receiving works great, but when I tell the phone to send an email such as a picture from the internet while in the browser, it makes me choose between Exchange or a POP account. How can I get it so it uses gmail instead? I tried adding my GMail account as a POP 3 and sending the emails, but I'm not receiving any of them.
BTW, after conditioning my battery for 3 days, I'm currently at 6 hours of awake time and 24 hours of up time, and the sucker still won't die, lol.
Can someone tell me how to enter GPS coordinates into the GPS? Is it possible to do that?

Is it simply a 4 way directional pad or does it also have a press functionality as the gold center would suggest? For instance, I could select various links on a web page and then press the dpad down to follow the link?

I'm trying to log in to an account, and my password contains a pipe symbol "|", which doesn't seem to be on the keyboard or in the list of symbols in alt-sym. View 25 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Droid 2, and have been liking it, till today, when I had to manually enter a contact on the phone. I have the latest OTA upgrade.
I found two problems:
(1) Once the Name field goes beyond a certain length, Contacts just edits one entry. I did not attempt a bunch of edits to figure out where the field length trigger for this occurs. However it occurred with two different contacts I wanted to enter, "Capital Ear Nose & Throat Wake Forest" & "Capital Ear Nose & Throat Raleigh". I could start a new contact, but one would just overwrite the other when I clicked save (including the name).
(2) When you task switch with the home button to the browser with a new contact opened, with information in it, and you then switch back to the Contacts app, your new entry is gone!
I won't compare it to other phones, but I am looking a solution or a confirmation this problem has existed forever, and google doesn't plan to fix it.
new to Droid here and loving it. Much better then the Eris in my mind. One quick question: when I try to check my voice mail and it ask me to type in password and hit pound button for some reason when I hit dial pad it flashes on and off and doesn't let me keep it on to punch in my password. Any thoughts on how I can fix that. When I notice I have a voice mail I swipe the notification bar and dial voice mail that way.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to dial a number in Germany which would be +49... now since i can't make that call with my verizon plan i bought a CBS phone card. so i hit 1 for English, 2 for international etc. then when i need to enter the number, on my old phone it worked fine by holding 0 for a while to dial +49. but for some reason that doesn't work with the droid. any ideas?

But I was figuring with the rooted phone that some developer out there would have been able to work the sending of ringtones(mp3) as a mms. Or has there been a app developed that will be able to do this. Please help. I have to admit that being able to do that has been one of the things that i miss about my blackberry.

When I pull up contacts, I see options for voice call and IM, but not phone text. I looked everywhere I could find, checked to see that the contact was listed as a mobile number. Someone please take pity on me and tell me the secret !!!

I just changed to using Handcent SMS instead of the default messaging app and i cannot find out how to stop the notifications from the default messager app, because now it shows 2 notifications, one for each app, and select them, it will take me to the message, but i'll have to manually clear the notifications. Anyone know a fix for this?
