Did you pull the blue tab to remove the clear protective backing between phone and keyboard? My D1 didn't have the tab, I did pull the backing off, and always regretted it as it felt smoother/firmer with it on. What did you guys do - remove or not, and any regrets if you removed it?

I am having some serious issues with my Incredible. My camera is now blue. It was working fine, but now it will not go clear at all. It is very very blue. Should I take it back or is there a setting in the phone I am missing. I have made sure the effects are set to "None" and I have also restarted my phone. Nothing seems to work.

I got a Droid 2 car dock based on the recent video and it does not work with the protective case. I have the protective case that Verizon sells with the criss-cross pattern on it. I don't see any other markings to identify it more clearly.
I need a solution where I can dock the Droid in the car (with power to the Droid) while still in the case. Does anyone know of a combination that works? I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this specific request.
Just wondering if there can ever be a protective case made for the Droid. I understand it is a slider and I've never had a slider before. Done a google search and came up with nothing.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed some (protective) plastic on the back of the sliding screen today. I gave it a little flick to see if it was meant to stay, but it peeled right off. Seems to be part of the plastic films put on before shipping. Can't believe I haven't seen this in over 2 months (of course I rarely slide it open).Sliding mechanism is much smoother now and certainly not loose.It has also opened up a whole new Droid Feature: It is so shiny and reflective on the back of the slider now, if you get lost in the woods and are out of cel reception, you can use the back of the slider to reflect the sun and signal the rescue plane while still playing your favorite game to pass the time Droid does Survival tool!

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, when i bought my droid the lady talked me into a case to "protect" my droid from scratches. Well its been over my 30 days and i took my "protective" case off, only to find a WHOLE BUNCH of scratches on my droid due to the case being on it! I'm so upset! Has anyone else had this problem!? Its so frustrating. Only other problem is when im googling things sometimes it goes half out, where what i type is only visible partially and wont search, very annoying. Anyone else have either of these problems? if so, what can be done?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the world of root. I used the rageagainstthecage method to become one the many now with root piveleges on hs/her Droid. I want to back up my ROM before doing any further playing with my new capabilities. I don't know if this has been asked before, the information I have found seems to be inolved in previous proceedures to get root access and I don't know what is still applicable if any of it is. It looks like I need to use RSD lite to do something with SPRecovery. Will the current version work with 2.2? For that matter, will it overwrite my exsisting ROM (since it appears it will be flashed onto my phone). All the info I have found uses SPReovery as part of the root process. If I do need to flash that onto my phone using RSD lite and I don't need to fear wiping out my ROM, what subset of steps do I need to follow just for SPecovery to allow me to make a ROM backup?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this has been addressed but it's something I figured out on my own and thought I'd share with the rest of the interwebs.For gmail to access all your old contacts its a quick process (once this is done all your contacts will be in your gmail account which automatically updates anytime a new contact is made on the computer or your phone so you only have to do this once)
Go to CONTACTS>make sure all contacts is selected at the top>MENU>MORE>IMPORT/EXPORT>EXPORT CONTACTS TO SD CARD>wait for this to finish>IMPORT CONTACTS FROM SD CARD>>>THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART>>>SELECT YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT
This import takes a couple of minutes, but once its done, ALL of your contacts on your phone will be synced with gmail and like i said before, from this point on, all newly added contacts are automatically put in the gmail account by your phone.
I installed a trial or free version of Wave Secure to my Droid for the purpose of backing up SMS messages. I used it once or twice. Now it's locking me out of my phone. It's asking for a PIN, and I don't know it. If you go to the Wave Secure website, there is a page for resetting the PIN, but I can't seem to enter an email or phone # with international code that it accepts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bb v8 on my phone with a blue rez theme which i like,. Upon loading v1.0 the phonbe seems to be fine. When i relkoaded my blue rez theme everything works except fro incoming calls. The phone force closess all incoming calls. Anyone else have this problem and know of a fix. Is there any new blue themes for 1.0. I assume beacuse v8 is a 53base and v1.0 is a 81 base and the theme is not compatable.

When i press the power button to lock my screen and put it to sleep when im done using my phone sometimes i get a constantly blinking blue led like im receiving an incoming call. This only happens when the phone is locked or on standby. A simple phone rest fixes this. I used a task killer and killed one app at a time thinking mabey one of my apps is causing this problem but even after killing all apps it still blinks. Any one else have or had this issue ? Any fix ideas. I have did a simple turn off the phone and it fixes it temporarily. I have also did a battery pull. Id hate to do a master reset.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have bb v1 2.1 rom with the nextheme. I miss the blue smoked glass theme i had with the bbv8. When i applied it i can not recieve calls, just keep gettign a forced close error message. I assume it is not compatable. Anyway, been looking but have not found anything yet. The blue theme i had included a "battery" icon that changed color and a blue signal meter. Also it had a acutal satilete icon in the notification panel.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I bought my Captivate at the AT&T store, they tossed in a free case, which they put on the phone before I could even hold it . This transparent Plastic thing is evil, by which I mean I can't get it off. I'm afraid to take a screwdriver to it because I don't want to risk scratching the phone (that was why I got the case in the first place). Does anyone have experience with "incipio" plastic case? Do you know how to get it off safely? Can I take it in the store and have them do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made this for myself.It is not an approved theme.It is put together different then the others I have put out (for 2.2.2).Please check the Change log at the bottom of pics. I just booted it on 2.2.2 and am up and running fine so far.It is still in the testing faze. Do not apply this and then cry to the guys at Fission about problems.Do read the change log before applying. Its the same theme I always like with a little lighter application.It does not have a base in black out any longer. The base was taken from one of the direct 2.2.2 download themes.

To Install From The SDCard
Step 1: Now, place your bootanimation.zip on your SDCard root
Step 2: Now, mount file system read/write
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3/system
Step 3: Let first backup your current bootanimation.zip
cd/system/media
mv bootanimation.zip bootanimation.bak
Step 4: Now, copy the custom bootanimation.zip to the correct folder
cat/sdcard/bootanimation.zip > botanimation.zip
Step 5: Now, reboot your device.
Also If you have Root Explorer
Step 1: Now, place your bootanimation.zip on your SDCard root
Step 2: Now go to Root Explorer and Once In Root Explorer Go To SDCRAD FOLDER
Step 3: Hold on the file to copy it and Then paste it and System/ media. Just reboot after that.
All of a sudden my notify light displays a constant blue light when the phone is put to sleep. I've uninstalled Chomp and I do not have any social networking apps installed nor do I have accounts synced to the phone. All messages on my phone have been read.

The only app I have that turns the led blue is blink but I have it set to flash blue for incoming and missed calls, however, I didn't have any missed calls and there were no notifications in the tray.
