Android :: Application Process Has Stopped Unexpectedly

For some reason I can't explain, when my app runs, I will on occasion get the following error message: "The application xxxxxxxx (process xxxxxx) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". When I debug my code, it seems to break at random places that doesn't make sense. On top of that I tried to surround the entire code with a try/catch block just to try to catch the exception, but it doesn't work either. I'm suspecting it's the OS that is producing this error message but I don't know why. As far as my code goes, if there were exceptions caused by it, it would've been caught by the try/catch block. Can someone shed some light here?

I seem to get this error message when I turn on the phone after powering off. I get to click "force close" and then it seems to work ok. "The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly."

I have the HERO for about 3 weeks now. Until yesterday everthing was ok with the phone, but since yesterday i get this message: "The application TouchFLO (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" when i want to use the weather widget. When this message appears i get only Force Close as an option.

So, I decided to give Tridents ROM a try about 10-minutes ago.
I used ROM Manager, backed-up my old ROM, then downloaded Velocity 0.2.
Now, my phone will do nothing, it turns on and shows the red Droid eye, then when it's time to go to the home screen I get pop-up after pop-up saying that "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have no way of getting on my phone at all, what can I do?

I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.

So since I got the phone on Thursday, at random, I'll get these popup crash messages, that say "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly" it has a "Force Close" button, which doesn't seem to change anything other than to acknowlege the message.It will happen at random, sometimes while I'm on the home screen, or sending a text message, but more recently, as I was trying to manage & link contacts. When I searched for this message it seemed to be related to people using Gmail, but I always get this message when I'm doing other things and not even touching my Gmail account.

Brand new Samsung Galaxy S which I received in the post this morning. I cannot access SD card and phone store in the settings.The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly.Has anybody run across this problem? I can only connect my phone via Kies now and this is extremely frustrating.Even when I connect my phone to charge now, it still goes in to Kies! Ahh! Help would be much appreciated.

I have a new Samsung Moment phone and keep getting the error Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. This error does not seem to have a trigger, just happens when the phone is sitting there. I have tried a master reset of the phone and it did not resolve the problem. I've checked all contacts and I do not see any problems with them but I am not real sure what to look for as it doesn't error out on any particular contact. Facebook is not used on the phone so it's not a sync problem there. Are there any logs on the phone I can look at to pinpoint where this might be coming from? Or should I just take the phone back to sprint for a new one?

I am having a problem with my wife's EVO - Basically an error message pops up when she tries to sync her google email, calendar, or contacts that says "com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly" and gives button to force close. I just started to get "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. FORCE CLOSE" error. I think I've narrowed it down to my HTC Weather widget, because I noticed that it now states "Current City" instead of the city name, such as Pittsburgh. So, when I open the weather apps and hit the refresh button, I get the error everytime I hit the refresh button.
The only apps I've installed since this started to happen are MyApps, Lookout (Update), MyVerizon (Update) and CNN News (Update).I've only had the ERIS for about two weeks and this is the first time I've encounter this error.

and gives me the Force Quit button.

So when I start my droid eris up this is what I am getting. The phone gets no signal. When I start up the phone is asks me if I want to use "htc sense" or "home". I did download "91pandahome" and I guess also "home". I can't go to settings and turn on WiFi or mobile 3g. iIhave no cell signal.

I keep getting this message, "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." followed by a box to 'force close.'
I seem to remember it wanted to update about a week ago, so I hit ok and then the update failed. It has not asked to try and update again since then....
The phone will display this message upon start up and also will occur at other seemingly random times.
The phone works fine after pressing force close but does anyone know how to stop this annoyance?

I have built a game. When the user clicks a button on the main page, he is redirected to another activity for a predefined time(say 20 s) and then he returns to the main page where he can choose another button. Now, this works perfectly on the emulator but on the phone when I clicks another button on the main page, it says the application has stopped unexpectedly. Force close. However, if I wait for say 3 s before clicking another button, it works. Is it because the images on the background of the buttons are too heavy?

I've run this on a device and on the emulator. The app stops unexpectedly on both. I have not a clue what is wrong currently. It uses Google API Maps I compiled with Google Api 7. I followed this tutorial:

The code seems no problem when I run it, but it stop unexpectedly in the emulator. I read some answer in the forum, It has to look at the logcat to see about the exception handler. I have an MapView app downloaded from Internet, when I tested it on the simulator, everything is fine, but when I installed it on my phone, the app stopped unexpectedly. Here is the code

I recently downloaded swype and was unsuccessful getting it to work. Now, I'm having this problem where every time i turn on the phone, it says the app swype was unexpectedly closed. Now I don't care if it works. I just want to get it the hell off my phone. How do I get it off?
