Android :: Typeface Affecting Text View Marquee?
Aug 30, 2009The default marquee scroll (i.e., three scrolls of text when list item is selected) in my application's List View works when the typeface is set to Typeface.NORMAL but not when set to Typeface.ITALIC. Is the marquee scroll implemented for TextViews with the ITALIC typeface?

The same thing happens if I put the TextView after the ListView, but then I will only see the ListView. Is there a way to get a text view above the ListView without to much of a hassle?

Feb 15, 2010I have a gallery widget and in that i had a view with linear layout which has a edit text inside. When it launches on device the edittext box shows but has no text visible.
However when i scroll to next view in gallery it shows text and when it comes to focus and centered the text disappears.
If i replace gallery with grid or a horizontal view I can see the text on edit text.
Can you please advise what I might be doing wrong here. Why the text disappears.

May 25, 2012I have had the issue of plugging the phone it at around 9pm when going to bed and it charging to 100% the next morning at around 7:30-8am but as soon as i unplug the charger it drops from 100% to 99 to 97%? Im using the battery circle app to monitor my battery %. I have "calibrated" the battery by using the phone until it shuts it self off then charging it to 100% while its off then unplug it and turn it on and then plugging it back in.
Usually i will get between 15-19+ hours on normal use if i unplug it and plug it back up when it drops suddenly to 9-% in the mornings but if i dont ill get somewhere around 13 hours of life. is there something wrong with the phone, battery or charger?

Nov 3, 2010I am on Android 2.1 and I have one multi column Custom listview Using BaseAdapter with an editable edittext at the end of the listview. If the data in the listview do not contain the data of user choice then user should be able to enter data. If the data is already there in the list user will be able to select the data using custom selector. If a selection is made in the list view and user wanted to enter data in the text field at the bottom after selection then the marker in the list view should be unselected. I tried to use onclick() method on edit text using click listener. First time when it is clicked, edit text is getting focus and onclick() method is not fired. And when it is clicked second time, onclick() method is fired and notifyDataSetChanged() method is called. I tried to call the notifyDataSetChanged() method from the Focus Listener, list view selection is gone in my first attempt and edit text is not receiving any data input from the keyboard (frozen).

I though it was nothing, until I tried to exit out of my navigation app, but the exit button wouldn't work. So i downloaded a draw app to see it maybe it was just my screen, and what do you know, i was able to draw swiping up and down holding the phone upright. Dec 1, 2009When others send me a MMS video the video does not play. It shows up as a still image with no audio. I tried taking a existing vidio that I took from the phone and sent it to myself. It did the same thing? When I go to save the MMS it says there is a .jpg file and a .qcp (audio) file?
Does anyone know what is going on any why I cant view MMS videos?
