Apr 26, 2014I used to be able to long press bookmarks and add them to home screen. This option just disappeared and not sure why. Factory reset and checked all settings...I think.

KitKat 4.4 :: Droid Maxx - Home Button Goes To Home Screen After Update
Jan 25, 2014I updated my Droid Maxx to 4.4. The change I first noticed is that the home key takes you back to the home screen instead of just leaving an app and returning to the screen I was originly on. This is definitly new. Is there a way to turn it off?

Feb 27, 2014normally I have sync turned off to prolong battery life but it also removes the capability to see the desktop bookmarks while in Android's Chrome browser. I thought the bookmarks were stored locally and then synced back when sync turned on.
To see desktop bookmarks I have to flip the sync on do my thing and then flip it back off when I'm done browsing.
Android : Droid Problem Quick Launch / Home Button / Bookmarks
Feb 17, 2010this is my first post as a Droid user, coming from a BB Curve. Have had about a month with my Motorola Droid and am running into several problems that are a pain. 1. The phone seems to load the corp calendar, gmail, settings, messaging, alarm clock everytime I slide the phone to ON. I have gone into the Quick launch and turned off everything but it is useless. So how do I turn off the quick launches so I don't eat up so many resources. 2. The HOME button obviously has a mind of its own and usually take 3 or 4 touches before it activates and sends me back home. This is especially true if I am on-line or in my gmail. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix or is this related to the resource issue? 3. Whenever I open one web site from my BM's it shifts the position of all of the other of my BM's. What is the use of a BM if the OS is going to bounce them around. Idiot design as for as I am concerned. I down loaded the app 'BookmarksBR' and it organizes my bookmarks in BookmarksBR but not in the browser. 4. Other than being slow at times I 'think' I like it better than the BB but jury is still out. Is there any word on OS updates.

Jul 7, 2010Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Mar 30, 2010Whenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.

Mar 31, 2010I am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?

Jun 11, 2010Looks like the bookmarks within the Bookmarks Widget are posted in the order that you surf and are NOT subject to any type of sorting. However the bookmarks within the Bookmarks Application launched from the browser's menu are sortable. Is there any way to make these two independent bookmarks list sync with one another. I know there's an application out there to manually sort the widget's bookmarks but I want them sync and match.

Nov 2, 2013First, make sure your SDK Tools are up to date. Otherwise, this won't work.Plug in your phone, then open up a command line. You initiate the recording with a simple adb instruction, but it actually saves on the phone.
The basic command you need is this:
Code: adb shell screenrecord /sdcard/yourfilename.mp4 You can name it whatever you want (within the usual limitations), and save it wherever you want on your device. (I'm lazy, so I've just been saving to /sdcard.)
When you're done, just copy the file to a computer or wherever.
Also note the arguments in the image above — particularly the one about bit rate. By default, it records at 4Mbps, which I've found to be inadequate, so I've been doubling that. So the command I've been using is: Code: adb shell screenrecord --bit-rate 8000000 /sdcard/yourfilename.mp4 (And, yes. The listing suggests setting the option in Mbps, but you actually have to do some math and use bps.
HTC EVO 4G :: Home Button Not Going To Home Screen?
Sep 14, 2010This only happens when running certain apps, specifically Facebook and jetflicks (and some others that I can't name off the top of my head) but when I press the home button it goes to the last screen of my home setup. I run stock froyo and sense, and I keep up with as many updates as possible. Is there a patch for this that anyone knows of?
