View 2 RepliesIs there auto focus function that can be used during the video recording, not prior to recording? I also heard camera on DInc can also shoot 720p with root access, I am just wondering if auto focus during the recording is coming with the root access.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has been annoying me from the very first time I used the HTC Desire's camcorder. While being able to focus before recording, it will not autofocus or let you tap-to-focus while recording. Is there anything we can do with this? I mean, it can't be that hard to enable autofocus while recording?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI loved the camera on the Eris and the Incredible, not only did they have a whole lot more of a crisp high-res detail, the auto-focus absolutely rocked. With my droid x, I can be getting a little artsy and focus on an object with the crosshair but it'll take me 20 tries to get it to lock on, its insane, I know I'm not getting too close to my subject because it will definitely eventually focus on that object if I try over and over and over again. It's not just close ups that I find myself and my buddy with this issue either. macro shooting mode does not help. My buddie's droid X has the same exact behaviors. Eris and incredible just LOCKED ON first try with even very low contrast / detail subjects, on top of that, have a ton better camera GUI when it comes to "click to focus". I know this thing ain't no SLR but, blows me away of how terrible the camera performance is vs. the HTC android based devices. Ihink motorola will fix this? I know this thing ain't no SLR but it just blows me away how the HTC android devices camera performance (except for video) blows the Droid X away.
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst, make sure your SDK Tools are up to date. Otherwise, this won't work.Plug in your phone, then open up a command line. You initiate the recording with a simple adb instruction, but it actually saves on the phone.
The basic command you need is this:
Code: adb shell screenrecord /sdcard/yourfilename.mp4 You can name it whatever you want (within the usual limitations), and save it wherever you want on your device. (I'm lazy, so I've just been saving to /sdcard.)
When you're done, just copy the file to a computer or wherever.
Also note the arguments in the image above — particularly the one about bit rate. By default, it records at 4Mbps, which I've found to be inadequate, so I've been doubling that. So the command I've been using is: Code: adb shell screenrecord --bit-rate 8000000 /sdcard/yourfilename.mp4 (And, yes. The listing suggests setting the option in Mbps, but you actually have to do some math and use bps.
I have just noticed that my call recordings are just audio noise. I have been using Call Recorder PRO for Galaxy Recorder.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy camera doesn't seem to focus since the update. When I touch the area I want it to focus on, it sounds like the lens is moving, but the image never changes and stays blurry. Anyone else having this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love this phone, maybe because it is my first real smartphone (BB Storm wasn't a smartphone, it was a special education student), or maybe it is just that awesome. Anyway, it seems that autofocus never focuses on what I want it to. Or at all, so it seems. Am I doing it wrong? Is my phone broken?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a Sprint HTC Hero and just loaded CZ FX. Can someone tell me how the manual focus and auto works? I know how to turn it on and off just don't know what its doing. With the stock camera when you touch the screen it focuses on that spot, with FX I can't figure it out. Also with FX when I touch the screen it takes a photo even when that option is turned off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a screen where the first field is an EditText, and it gains the focus at startup, also popups the numeric input type, which is very annoying. How can I make sure that when the activity is started the focus is not gained, and/or the input panel is not raised?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy auto focus has been really inconsistent recently, some days it will work for a little but for the most part it doesn't focus anymore. I've also been having a lot of issues with the headphone jack, what should I do? btw, my insurance on my phone is protectcell. Do you think they would consider upgrading me to a Droid 2 or a better phone? (my phones rooted, I changed roms to see if that was the issue, but the problem still occurs)
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the Camera app there used to be a bracket that showed where the focus of the picture is going to be and I could move it around to choose where I want it to focus, but I no longer see that. It still autofocuses, but does not show the bracket at all. Any ideas on why this is?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am not sure if my Droid camera is working correctly or if it is the software. I am using the app "shopsavvy that uses the camera to scan/focus on a bar code but the auto focus works hard to focus and sometimes can't. Is anyone else experiencing this or similar issues with the camera? Do I need to take it back for a replacement?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am looking for video recording example, it suppose to be in api - sample but not available. I am wondering if 1.1 release still missing this feature?
If it does support then in which format and where is the example. Also I am trying to figure out MP3 encoding long ago but still no solution. I have recorded an audio ()which is in AMR by default, how can I convert it in MP3 (any external package I can use?)
Is the Evo supposed to be auto-focusing when its recording video? If I have just the viewfinder and no recording going on, it auto-focuses whatever I point it at, but when it comes to recording, its not auto-focusing at all. It just stays blurry.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDon't know if anyone knew this but if you download the LED Desire light from the app store, use the app first to leave the LED lights on and go to your video recorder. You can now record video in the dark and have somewhat clarity with the LED lights on. Granted it would probably be a big energy waster, but atleast you know have a choice.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAccording to official specs recording is present but does anyone know for sure if it's 720p recording?

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy Galaxy S4. My service is through Sprint and all apps and system updates are done. While I understand the latest system update has a lot of problems, the one issue I have had has been going on for quite some time. My music player autostarts. The player I am referring to is the 'MUSIC' app (the one where the icon looks like a blue circle and has a green musical note on it.) The trigger seems to be when I get calls from a blocked number. My company's outgoing calls are automatically blocked so each time I get a call from a coworker my phone launches into whatever song I last played instead of ringing. It doesn't matter if the phone was muted - the volume is on so everyone gets to hear the latest tune. Along with the unexpected musical interlude, I don't get any indication of the incoming call.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was excited to see that Google had updated the stock Email app to be more like the latest Gmail app so I installed it on my Nexus 7. I was almost shocked to see that they STILL haven't added the 'auto fit messages' option like Gmail has. How can Android be so far along and still not have this extremely basic option? I know a few 3rd party email clients support this, but it seems crazy to me that they didn't do this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs video recording supported in 1.5? I got it mostly working with the Haykuro 1.5 ADP image - the video file was legally formatted but didn't play properly.
With yesterday's official 1.5 images, it doesn't work at all.
setVideoEncoder() fails,
with the wonderfully informative error message
"setVideoEncoder failed".
Is there any way to pause the video recording function? I've looked all over the net and can't find an app or a reason why this feature seems to be missing from all Android phones.
This is HD recording and could potentially replace low end video units. Seems like it should be unnecessary to use an external video editor to get a vacation video in one piece.
