Jelly Bean :: Browsing Phone While Connected To PC
Nov 20, 2013how come it loads slow accessing my phone/memory card items when connected to any PC, even using usb 3.0 cable or 2.0 cable, my SD card is a sandisk class 10 from my gopro so its not the sd card. and the way you view pictures is also different, example, in windows you can click on a picture in the folder and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to scroll through the pictures using left and right, but when trying to do that with the pictures connected through the phone i can't, and i cant edit pictures on the phone with right click like in windows as well.
my old g2x wasn't like this, access was just like viewing any other item on windows fast speed and able to edit picture files still on the phone,this is on a Galaxy Note 3 btw.

Dec 30, 2013My Samsung s3 phone says usb device connected not recognized when i connect to any PC even though other phones similar to mine does connect. i have tried many tricks from different sources but it still doesn't work. when i connect it in the custom mode by starting the phone with pressing Home/power and volume buttons it is recognized and says device ready to use but the moment i swict the phone in normal mode it goes back to not recognized.

Jan 23, 2014I tried to load Cyanogenmod on my galaxy nexus. unfortunately I had copied one of the nightly update files instead of a stable version. so the install did'nt work and I did a factory reset from recovery mode. Now the computer doesn't even recognize my phone any more, when I connect it via USB. and my phone is stuck on the google screen when I try to turn it on.

Jelly Bean :: Note 2 Keeps Turning On After Lock Button Is Pushed
May 10, 2014so i have factory reseted my phone twice and used wakelock and i cant find a solution. looked through forums and found possible answers but all failed. i press the lock button on the right side then after about two seconds it turns right back on. when it sleeps again it turns right back on .. i have not found a solution to it. i have the 4.3 jellybean on it. the only solution that sometimes works is a lock screen app that i downloaded from the play store. but it really sucks when i get a message the screen turns on right then after it goes off then turns right back on .. so if i miss any notification it drains my battery because my phone wont stay off.

Dec 2, 2013i have samsung galaxy s3 mini.and like today my phone fell in water... first everything was ok, but then when i locked it, it will automaticly turn on... i tried everything, like buy a new battery, factory reseted it, deleted all the apps but it didnt work.... so the problem is: i always have screen timeout on 15 seconds... and when i LOCK my phone, it actually turns it back on on the lock screen. like before it would do that if i pressed any button on phone, but now it does it automatic. and its very annoying because i cant even sleep without my phone blinking all the time(i have my phone near the bed because of the alarm clock)..

a) turn the tablet on/off

c) all other options would be disabled

Jelly Bean :: Can't Connect To WiFi Network?
Nov 8, 2013The wifi worked fine until I disconnected for the first time. Since then the phone never wanted to reconnect to our private network no matter what I tried. I tried switching the wifi off and back on again. Tried switching the phone on and off again multiple times. I even tried to use a static IP address but that also didn't seem to work. I also tried switching the 'Wi-Fi optimisation' off as well as setting the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' to 'Always'.
With one of my previous phone (HTC Wildfire) I've experienced the infamous wifi-loop many times (Connecting, Fetching Ip, Connected, Disconnected, Connecting...). But I never experienced that on my Xperia S(Android 4.1) (although I have experienced different wifi problems on it (i.e., IP clashes, etc.)).
The problem is NOT at the modem (I've tried reseting it MANY time and it still doesn't solve my solution. My laptop is successfully connected to our wifi. And I even tried switch the laptop off). The phone itself is not connecting AT ALL to the wifi. It is however connecting to my mobile network.

Oct 15, 2013Often there are wifi points that make the radio connection like an open network, but really require some entering of registration on a web paage before actually connecting to internet. Starbucks here in Japan is an example.
My s4 connects wifi signal to such points, but after it cannot complete the registration, it thinks "no internet", even though it has perfectly strong LTE connection. And refuses to connect via LTE. In such case, I have to turn off wifi and then it's fine.
This is annoying in my office because my group's wifi is different from the one for the building in general, so I have to turn the wifi off and on depending on where I am in the building.
Is there a way to tell the s4 to "ignore wifi that doesn't have internet connection and use Cell signal instead"?

Dec 9, 2013Since two days ago everything was fine and everything worked perfectly, it was almost too good to be true, and of course something had to break. My phone is connected to my home wireless and it even has really strong signal but going on the internet simply doesnt work. Going on with mobile data works, but connected to my main wifi source doesnt. I've been trying everything from dailing *#0011# to changing the ips and gateways and whatever. It can connect to the wifi but going on the internet/facebook/youtube is difficult.

But after I formated the cellphone, It started with the bug of not turning off the wi-fi in the sleep mode, even when set to do it Maybe some app that I installed before has changed some internal settings!
Before, my battery was lasting almost 4 days, I not use it too much, but now it lasts 2 days only... and I have sure that it's because of the wi-fi bug.

Feb 20, 2014the phone automatically disables the Wi-Fi connection and switches over to data which she chews through really rather quickly.
I've got no problem with her downloading the universe when connected to my ADSL but preferably not through cellular data.
How I can go about disabling this "auto-disabling" of the Wi-Fi connection when it detects that it is slow? I couldn't find the option but I also find the S4's settings a tad disorganised.
I don't have this happening on my phone (BB10) so I wasn't expecting this to happen and she doesn't check the symbol at the top to see whether it's on Wi-Fi or not.
