the Dinc is still alot faster overall and I'm still getting lag with the SF, especially if a Samsung widget (ex: buddies) is on the screen.Which of these is a better score of raw performance (ie: little lag).I'm going to read though the same question posted on the Eris forums now. quadrant vs. linpack - Android Forums
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust curious on what everyones scores are. I don't want to turn the scores into a pissing contest but having flashed roms since July, the froyo/2.2 roms always have higher scores. Also, just fyi, I really only use the scores just to confirm what I already know when a rom becomes laggy. I run the benchmarks for that reason
View 20 Replies View RelatedCan someone please explain the difference between quadrant and linpack scores? I get better quad scores with a lower clock speed and better linpack scores with a higher clock speed. which one should I be more interested in? on kaos v32 btw.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOK, I got a BOGO for the Fascinate with my Wife. I'm currently using the Fascinate now and I'm not overly impressed.
I posted the original question on the Fascinate board, but I'd like more exposure to the Incredible members.
I like the looks and size of the Fascinate, but I'm not liking the slug feeling. Sill on the fence for the Samsung OS style. Some is good, some is in alot of need. It's behind HTC Sense for sure though.
Quadrant vs. Linpack scores
So, just curious for those who have installed this leak, what kind of scores are you seeing? After all my stuff was restored (i did a clean and wipe), I am ending up with a linpack of 34 (i think i am seeing more people closer to 38) and quadrant at 1156 (and i see people up at 1400+)...
What is everyone else getting? And keep the spam out of this one.
what do i need to do to improve my scores. getting constant 32 on the flop and 1192 to 1221 on quad.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI know benchmarking isnt perfect and Quandrant scores aren't everything, but I'm interested about Linpack. I just saw the G2 post a 40ish linpack score. Using the Jac's oc/uv voodoo kernel, I can only get about 9.7ish in linpack. So whats the difference? What is it that their hardware is doing that we dont see? Is it a 2.1 vs 2.2? Then I heard somewhere that linpack doesn't like non-qualcomm cpus.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone else is getting scores around 15 using Rubicon. My quadrant scores are around 1400 but linpack...

2nd, I am scoring 1290...which is below the Nexus One. What do I need to do to better this if what i'm getting is too low?
I just got a new HTC Evo with Froyo and downloaded the Quadrant Standard benchmarking app. I ran it around 5 times and averaged around 790, I don't understand why this is so low given that usually EVOs are up around 1200. I ran advanced task killer beforehand so there were no apps running either. Does anyone know what could be going on?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have seen several quadrant scores of the Evo with froyo and they are all in the mid 1200's. Thats very close to what most stock 2.1 X's are running. And keep in mind that a stock 2.1 evo is like 750 quadrant.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI would like to get some some real world data. Against my phone.Could you guys post your Quadrant scores please. In the Droid forums we're getting from 1450-1680. I was just wondering how your scores compare against the chart. I'm assuming it would be better than the Nexus One 2.2 on there.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow do I boost my quadrant scores WITHOUT ROOTING. Because my note 2 rarely scores 7000.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife's stock, unrooted, Droid routinely scored in the 300s, right where a stock Droid should be. Now with 2.2, she hit 843, and 916--all without starting fresh from a reboot. Looks like some of the "smokin!" is true after all!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI may be mistaken, but Froyo was available to Captivate users in the leaked JI6 firmware, yes? Well I'm wondering what your Quadrant scores are, running Froyo JI6, on an otherwise stock Captivate, meaning no lagfix. So here is why I'm asking, I read somewhere, can't remember the link, that Froyo is having some issues with the Hummingbird. Basically it offers no speed-boost at all to the Captivate.Froyo was expected to dramatically improve CPU scored on Quadrant. This video also has me worried, this guy in the video ran quadrant and got a score of 975...I already get 925 on my vibrant stock, running 2.1. Froyo is suppose to give us scores like 1800 without lagfix, NOT 975!
View 49 Replies View RelatedIf I don't use ATK, my phone runs very fast and smooth with a ton of crap listed in the back ground. It even scrolls fine. However, it benchmarks lower than when I use ATK to kill everything. My quadrant scores really get low when ATK shows a ton of programs. Kill them and the phone is slow, but benches higher. I stopped using ATK for the most part, but occassionally do for what ever reasons. High bench marks makes me feel good, but so does a smooth phone!

View 38 Replies View RelatedJust for fun and to see what I could score...I tried it. Well, I only scored a measly 278. I've read on here of other Ally owners getting 300 up to 525. So, my question is, what would cause my low score and if you guys wouldn't mind. go ahead n post up YOUR Quadrant scores.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo I will be getting my Incredible in on Monday. However, after seeing the Linpack screenshots for the MotoDroid at 2.2 I am wondering if the Incredible really is all that fast. I mean how come the Incredible is slower than the N1 if it has the same hardware? I know the difference is small but I just don't understand that. Also, how do they get the Shadow/Xtreme specs before it is released? Those specs are amazing, maybe I should have waited. Here is a link to the screenshots: Post Your Motorola Droid Froyo Quadrant Scores! | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog. EDIT: The reason I am wondering about the 2.2 specs is because ours should be comparable to the Nexus One. How could the MotoDroid be so much faster than the N1? I'm not looking to bash any phone, I am just confused as to how this works out.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI got the app. I see when I was at 2.1 I got in the 500's but now with 2.2 I am getting 1,242, better than the droid x.
BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!
It is seriously like a double rainbow to me. (in all joking aside, I really am wondering what this means)
I just isntalled and ran the quadrant benchmart app and have some questions.
while running the 2D and 3D graphics tests I got the followign results:
2D 1/1 consistantly around 17 FPS
3D 1/3 ran around 7 for awhile, then around 12, jumped to 25, then ran around 8 FPS for awhile
3D 2/3 ran consistantly around 40 FPS
3D 3/3 ran consistantly around 10 FPS
my overall score was 1391
my question is, what does all this mean? is it any good? 1391 out of what? are those frams per second results decent? is there a reason the first 3D FPS results were so inconsistant?
also with linpack, I'm getting 38 mflops in .14 seconds. why so crappy?
I'm running CyanogenMod6 test8 with the stock kernel. I did it with SetCPU at 998MHz and I uninstalled SetCPU and reran linpack and same results.
I installed the leaked 2.2 update and got it all working. Not being happy enough with how it came out I started playing around with my Titanium Backups and system settings. (I was trying to restore system settings so I wouldn't have to go through everything again.) In any case, I took benchmarks while doing this, because I didn't want to gimp my now much faster dinc.
On a stock 2.1 my Quadrant score was around 530. With the 2.2 leak my Quadrant score was around 1050. After restoring some 2.1 system files my Quadrant score was 1213. Of course, my phone became a bit unstable. Somebody with more free time needs to sit down and play around with this. A few tweaks and the Dinc could really fly on 2.2.
For those who don't know, a 2.2 leak for the Droid X leaked a week or 2 ago and Googling the Quadrant Scores looked pretty close to even. I've gotten as low as 1290 and as high as 1365, most of the Quadrant scores from the Droid X running 2.2 were pretty much in that same range. Seems as if Droid X just ran 2.1 more efficient than the Droid Incredible did.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for two particular apps. The most important one is a podcast app where I can subscribe to an RSS feed and have it automatically download the last 10 or so podcasts that get released each day (or at least have this as a configurable option). I listen to a sports radio station every morning and I have been downloading the podcasts with iTunes for the time being and putting them on to my iPod but there has to be an app for Android that can download podcasts, right? I've got BeyondPod right now and it seems a bit clunky. I've heard good things about PodCatcher but since its a paid app, I haven't taken the dive yet. Would prefer a free one obviously but if paid is the only way to go, I'll drop the $5-$10 or whatever it is for PodCatcher. Any recommendations? Also, where are the apps for viewing sports scores. Does ESPN not have an app? They've got an iPhone app. They better jump on the Android bandwagon because we ain't going anywhere. Does anyone recommend an app for quick views of sports scores and even better, stream sports highlights. Basically, an all around sports app would be sweet!

I just received my bill from Verizon for May and compared it to my April bill. I went from using 52MB of data on my Omnia to 545MB of data on my Incredible! I'm so thankful for the unlimited data
What was your data usage before and after you got your Incredible?
This is more of a preemptive post for anyone that comes into the same issue as I did.My Swype was not working, so I had to uninstall, run the installer again, put in my Swype beta information to login, downloaded the app again and it worked fine afterwards.Just don't panic if it happens to you too.
