I have the HTC Droid Eris. Before the 2.1 update, I just had Facebook sync, but afterwards, it was synced with Facebook for HTC Sense. My problem is that it won't let me sync with just Facebook.I still want my contacts to sync with my phone, because I like the facebook pictures on there. Personally, I like Facebook sync better, because I don't like having all my Facebook contacts on my phone, because the numbers show up twice (number that I have on my phone plus the number that my friends have on Facebook).To prevent that from happening, I would rather have my phone connected to Facebook only and not Facebook for HTC Sense.I thought I could do it, but it won't let me even click on Facebook--like, nothing pops up or anything.I wasn't sure if it was my phone, so I took my dad's Eris and tried to do the same, it works fine on his phone, but I can't get mine to do sync with facebook whatsoever. We put this into our How Am I Feeling? app but very few people seem to be using it - at least that I can see anyway as I can only track on Twitter.
What makes you want to announce what you did? Is it entirely an afterthought or just something you try once or twice and then forget about?
With one app? Any clue of an app that will update all those maybe even myspace status, with one app. does such an app exist? I've looked around here and the market and see that peep MIGHT update fb, but I can't see a selection for that...

I was syncing my Facebook and Twitter accounts... and seeing the updates on an app that seemed pre-installed on the phone. It displayed both the Twitter and Facebook updates in the same screen and had a little "T" or "F" on the side to identify them. All was well until I accidentally deleted the screen and now don't know what app that was to get it back. I went through them all.

1- Android market do not work. When I run android market nothing appeared.
2- I cannot login to my twitter and I do not know why. I check the password twice from my computer but on hero not work.

First of all, I am not sure that the snippets above are *really* what get used to plug into the quick contacts. It's just an educated guess. I still am at a bit of a loss to figure out exactly how to plug into the quick contact window (for example, which xml/java file did Facebook/Twitter apps use to declare their intent to plug into the quick contact window, declare the icon to show etc?).
I am not specifically interested in Facebook/Twitter, its just that these apps have plugged into the new API successfully. I am just looking for an end to end example (ideally) or simply pointers to how to integrate my contacts sync info into the quick contacts menu.
Can anyone recommend an example or post that shows how to implement a share via SMS/Email/Facebook/Twitter kind of thing for your app?

I'm trying to figure out how to only update my FB status when I post to friendstream, without updating my twitter status BUT still receive other people's twitter updates. I've tried unchecking 'sync friend' and 'sync peep' in settings but that didn't work. evo 4g.

The only time I see that there's an update, is when that application is actually opened. This unit is set to update at the minimum.
