I just got the Magic, when ever I text someone it shows the correct time although when I receive a reply, the reply shows an hour behind?Also I can't seem to update my flash player?

Basically I was trying out the appbrain app the other day which suggests apps to download. One of these recommendations was to update my flash player 10.1. I did this as suggested but it ate up about 10mb of my internal memory! Leaving me with that dreaded 'low on space' message. Anyway I uninstall the update and all was well. But now when i go on the market it downloads automatically and its really annoying me. So... do I need it? What's the benefit? And how do I make it go from downloaded apps tab in market?

Got another question, why is it Adobe flash player 10 will show up in appbrain but won't show up in the regular market, I had to find out about the update thru appbrain.
So I got my 2.2 update for Moto Droid 1 on Friday and I was eager to check out the new flash player. I read that you had to download the Flash player 10.1 app from the android market after the update but I can't seem to find said app anywhere in there. Adobe says that the app has already been released and only users with the 2.2 update can see it in the market, well...
what am I doing wrong? the only adobe app that shows up when I search is Flash Showcase, which needs 10.1 to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found this site and tested it and it works so you can get Adobe Flash Player to work on your x10 version 2.1. I used the default web app and Dolphin HD browser and it worked through both:

Go to this site and download the apk file to you computer and manually load it onto your phone either by copying to your SD Card and installing. Or If you use MyPhone explorer software then install it though that, once installed re-boot your phone. I tested it on the Avatar web site below and it played exactly the same on the phone as the PC, you have to be patient and wait for Flash Player to load the clip and you really need to do this over a WiFi connection, tap the play arrow in the middle of the screen. But as I said be patient it wont happen immediately but it wont take too long, remember its a phone not a PC.

I noticed that although I did have flash 10.1, the version number was 10.1.72.? I found a version 10.1.92.8 on the droid life forums, updated to this version and the slow scrolling is gone.

One feature that's bugging me on the Desire, the default application for Youtube videos seems to be the HTC Flash Player, but I don't want to use this. I would prefer it if it opened with the Youtube player so I can get high quality video when viewing Youtube clips on WIFI - the HTC Flash Player has no settings or option for video quality improvement.
On my G1, every time I opened a link for Youtube (from e.g. the browser or Seesmic), it opened up the Youtube application as the default viewer.
I have gotten both the Flash Player and Flash Lite APK's, and I have been trying to install them on the Droid. Flash Player refuses to install on stock 2.1. Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

I am on the verge of signing a contract with vodafone for the magic but listening to music on my phone is quite a big factor (the other handset I was considering was the Nokia 5800 Xpress!) so I was just wondering if anyone had used the magic mp3 player yet and what they thought of the audio quality? It would be useful to know how it compares to the iphone because the mp3 player is not a feature that anyone has focused on in reviews (except for the fact that there is no 3.5mm jack).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've got an HTC Magic on Rogers that I rooted and flashed to CM5 stable about a month ago. Everything runs great, except occasionally (sometimes once a day, sometimes more) the radio seems to go into la-la land. The 3G icon will disappear, but I still show bars.... however there is no connectivity. Once it falls into this state it seems to kill the battery quite quickly. The only way to wake it back up is to reboot the phone or to toggle airplane mode on then back off. When CM6 stable came out a few days ago, I thought I would give that a shot and see if it made any difference... unfortunately it didn't (runs great otherwise though!). I'm currently using radio version 3.22.26.17... is there perhaps another version I can try?
I just got looking thru my Network settings and I had 3 APN's listed (Rogers 1, Rogers 2 and Rogers MMS I think). With Rogers 1 selected, it would register and I would get the 3G icon. With Rogers 2, it wouldn't... so I've deleted the Rogers 2 entry.
I totally bricked my phone as i was trying to flash it to its original state and when i flash the spl (update[1].SHIPMENT-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.0009H-signed.zip ) i took the battery after it rebooted but i guess before it finished as i saw a magic phone on the screen but could't stop on time from removing the battery. Now nothing make my magic to turn on again, not the power button, not the back + power button, not the home + power button and not even the volume down + power button.
i tried removing the battery, connecting the usb and tried all the possible combinations with no success. Is there any way to get into fastboot, as if i get there then i can reflash my previous spl and i am done. Please help me as i paid over 1000 dollars for this phone here in argentina and there is not htc or rogers customers support here. Is there any pandora battery or adb force awake or adb force power on command?

I suppose the reason is that the file format is not supported? Can I download a codecs pack somewhere in order to get more out of my phone? I was browsing the android market and I found that Flash Player 10.1 was one of the apps for download on there. I was wondering if this was different from version of flash that came with the 2.2 froyo update. Is this download necessary or not needed cause its the same as the flash update with froyo?
