I have got an unlock code for my HTC legend and inserted a Rogers SIM card. However, I do not get a screen to enter the unlock code. I only get a message that "NO SIM CARD". This is in spite of inserting a Rogers SIM Card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Inspire 4G that I'm trying to unlock (because a buyer wanted it unlocked) and I called AT&T and they gave me the code to get it unlocked, but I don't have a T-Mobile (or any other company) SIM card that I can use to enter the code. Is there any way to use the code without using another SIM card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got an automatic update for 2.1 on my HTC Legend last week, it is now reversing the whole of each thread for text messages. that is it shows the oldest messages first, and i have to scroll through all the messages on that thread to read the new one i have just received. some of these threads are 100's of messages. and i need to keep some of the info on them etc so don't want to delete whole threads. Before the update it showed the newest message first and was great. can't find anyway to change a setting for this.

On my old touch diamond 2 I had a file browser - I can not find it on my Legend. It brings up the pictures in the picture browser, but I can't find the ringtones I have on it to use instead of the build in on the Legend.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy son got an HTC Legend a few months ago & didn't register his Google account. In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, a lot of his contacts are stored on the phone & there's no room on the Sim for them. He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset. Are there any apps or tricks available to move his contacts to the SD card that don't require him deleting them in the first place to do it, or is he going to have to buy a pen & paper?

I don't know how I locked it so I couldn't unlock it and just ended up deleting the entire thread. It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

I will fix it soon, but I'll need a detailed guide on how to do it, I have seen some forums on how to do it but it doesn't seem that easy. I am pleased with the Legend, but at times things come up that confuse me somewhat. Recently a friend and I were taking photos and I thought it would be interesting to compare camera quality of her BB Curve 8900 with my HTC Legend. Below are the photos.

Is it just me or is something wrong here? (Forgive me naivety!) Also, could it be that I need to fine tune some settings or something? I hope somehow I can improve these shots.. the Legend's assumed superior camera was one of its main attractive characteristics for me!

I wanted to pair it with my new Legend, but for some reason when I press Scan for devices in the Bluetooth setup, my PC shows up, my neighbor's Nokia shows up, but the headset never appears. I thought that Bluetooth devices were pretty universal; shouldn't my Legend see this headset and pair with it without problem?
