HTC Incredible :: Wipe Cache And Data When Install ROM?
Sep 28, 2010I am trying to install [ROM] Uncommon Sense (v1.0) Release! - xda-developers and it says I need the full wipe!
Does that mean I have to wipe? the cache and data? The two options availabe for wipe in the menu? Also, I place the zip in the root of the memory card, yes?
HTC Incredible :: Can I Wipe My Phone And Install RUU After OTA 2.2
Sep 2, 2010So I did the 2.2 OTA update yesterday and now it has screwed up my phone. My question is, can I wipe my phone and start over? Can I install 2.2 RUU? My phone has all kinds of bugs now, including but not limited to:
-Cannot get on the internet, browsers close after a few seconds
-Cannot get on Pandora
-Swype does not work, even after reinstall. I cant download new version because I cannot get on the internet because of the browser issue.
-Menu button no longer unlocks the phone This is awful, my android device is now just a phone.
HTC Incredible :: Recover Data After Wipe?
May 23, 2010Im going to send my Inc in for a return.. Just curious if its possible to recover any data after I wipe the phone? Does the phone do a secure wipe or is the data still there just waiting to be overwritten?

Oct 18, 2010I just rooted my phone and was wanting to install Virtuous rom 3.0.1. I made a backup with titanium (free) and downloaded rom manager. When I download Virtuous 3.0.1 from ROM manager what do I do next. I thought ROM manager would automatically install it from here. Do I need to choose something from the sd card?

Nov 11, 2010So I have been rooted for sometime but haven't played with any ROMS yet until I finally got tired of waiting for Nov OTA and realized virtuous 3.1 has implemented the updates already.I figure a new post regarding this rom was warranted and hadn't seen anything in AF INC yet.1st thing to note. If you have been pondering this update and not doing it because you will have wipe the phone, Virtuous does not require a wipe and when you install the ROM you will have all your old data.I thought this was cool, especially for when the next updates come through such as new Sense build as well as Gingerbread.I did have one question for any other virtuous users.

Sep 21, 2010I have been very happily using a Sense 2.2 Lite ROM since August, but what the heck. I've heard good things about Virtuous.I cleared the cache and hard all data since this is a new ROM. Loaded fine. Titanium backup etc.I disabled weather updates. Turned off all google updates. Anything I could find.I still see the sync icon in the top bar spinning. If I go into Accounts & Sync I can hit "Cancel Sync" and it stops, even though I have no idea what it is trying to sync.I restored my older ROM but would love to give Virtuous a shot again.Any suggestions on a setting a may be overlooking?

Sep 17, 2010I had Ruby 1.1.1 and loved it but the one turn off was the lack of audio streaming. So I changed to virtuous 2.7 with the modified kernel which I thought the audio streaming was working on, mine is not. Anyone know a way to fix this? Is this a known problem or just my phone? Also is there any way to get the android keyboard on the virtuous ROM?

Sep 17, 2010I've noticed that when using bluetooth audio in my car with my current setup (see sig), the audio no longer automatically resumes when I re-start my vehicle. When I was unrooted with 2.2, if I turned off the vehicle with audio playing, it would automatically resume when I started the car again later. Any ideas? I'm using MixZing as my player.

Oct 11, 2010I'm new to the root scene, and have been messing around with different ROMs, but have noticed on two different ROMs (frankenrom & virtuous) that when I receive text messages, the time stamp on them is incorrect. My account was set up in Illinois, but I'm now in Delaware. When I send a text it stamps at Eastern time, however when I receive a text, it comes through at Central time. This causes my texts to become unorganized and I have to scroll up in stock messenger (prefer this over Handcent or chomp) to read my new message. Any ideas? It was fine before I flashed any ROMs but now its really bothering me.

Oct 1, 2010I had to do a factory reset of my X after the 2.2 update. I am now not able to install the paid apps I got from the market. I have receipts on Google Checkout for them, but when I go to the market to get them, it only gives me the option to "Buy" it again as it takes me right to Google checkout. If I go to "Options" and then "My Downloads", the apps are not located there. Anyone else have this happen to them? How do I fix this without having to buy the apps again?
