I sign and open the box and it is my purple cell case from verizon! So I think I will just play with the case and its Inc insert for two days.
I got the hard plastic case. The color is great (for those of you who are purple fans ) and matches my Coach bag wonderfully. It is slim and sleek and nice and light. I am hoping it looks okay with the red backing of the Inc.

What is it with this stupid lag or whatever? I go to Google, type my search. Every time..Every single time. I go to hit search and i end up hitting 'buzz'. What is with this lag?Is it lag? Is it detecting my finger near the screen?

Most of them are pretty obvious but there are a few I'm not sure of. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of services/processes/etc. that we can safely kill off and/or set for auto-kill/disable at startup? Edit: One I was curious about is Google Partner Setup. I have killed it off without any issues through Task Panel. But would having it on the auto-kill list be OK?

Is there a way to kill widgets, apps, and sense for that matter, for a period of time then have a way to restart them. For example I go to an amusement park and want to make sure i get the whole day out of the phone w/o recharge, can i kill all the widgets etc and just leave it as a "phone" with calling in/out and SMS / MMS stuff, maybe browser, then turn it all back on at the end of the day with out having to start each thing individually?

I killed mobile data today while at my desk and despite the battery having just turned orange, it didn't turn red for nearly 5 more hours. So, I'd like an app that will kill the data connection at a certain time. Timer fix and Setting Profiles Lite don't have the option to just kill data, only an airplane mode option.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I got the ADW.Launcher and I'm finding it to be FANTASTIC, much better than Sense and Launcher Pro IMO. I FINALLY got skype and it's amazing too. The big thing those it that I finally threw some widgets onto my desktop - namely You Tube, Google Search, and the Power Control thing. The power control is really nifty and makes it so easy to control blue tooth, wifi, gps. Are these going to kill my battery life? I don't' use live wallpapers and I make sure I don't have a ton of apps running in the background.

If so, what are people's opinions of both?
My headset speaker (non-speaker phone) has a buzz to it when the in-call volume is all the way up, or one notch away from full. If I call voice mail, any automated line, or anybody speaks loudly the words are distorted by the speaker buzz. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than distortion/speaker issue. Does anybody else have their in-call volume all the way up that could confirm whether this is happening on theirs? My wife has the incredible and when I compare on her voicemail full in-call volume, it is perfect. I'm thinking about exchanging at Best Buy, but wan't to make sure its not common before I do. Would hate to go through the trouble if they all make this buzz/distortion.

Scary since I noticed it as soon as I got it..... I believe my phone was a return that they sold to me. It seemed to have come with some downloaded apps already (though I'm not sure) and the box was a little worn looking (no plastic around the literature either)

I have cm 7 on my HTC wildlife and I want to reinstall a stock eclair rom.
I have tried the ruu exe files and keep getting error 170 saying my phone isn't connected. I've tried all solutions I could find, phone doesn't even reboot into bootloader wile its running. I have also tried the zip files but when I try to install with clockworkmod recovery it just says installation aborted.
on my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Wildfire (Buzz), i made it S-OFF , Rooted it (i guess) and succeessfully changed its rom to MIUI 2.3.7 . Before changing the rom i backed up the stock rom .The problem comes to whenever i boot to recovery and reach to a point where i am to select if i want to install zip file from sd cards and other selection, i am not able to install or access anything from sd card. Even when i tried to restore the backup using Rom Manager it fails.

THE MIUI is slow and can't withstand stress as every time i try to do something fast it displays error messages.
Lurked for short time. Good site. Wife and I got Eris each. hers does not 'buzz' when tapping the 'home, menu, back and search' touch keys. Could not figure it out. Any suggestions? (Love the phones by the way!) OH!!! And, bought the Seido 3500 mah battery. it really is not that big, fits in my hand nicely. I will let you know how it lasts. charged last night and still strong today. But I will keep updated.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've never understood the appeal of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc. Google Buzz caught my interest only because it appears in things I already use on my Droid - Google Maps and Google Reader (via the browser). In Google Reader I can clearly see who I'm logged in as - the name appears at the bottom of the screen; it's my Google Account. I assume this works via a cookie in the browser.The only account I have setup on my phone itself is my Google Apps account, and the email address for this account is different than that of my Google Account.While out sledding with my kids today, I felt the urge to buzz, and attach a picture. I couldn't see how to do that through the browser interface, so I opened Google Maps. It appears that I can post to Buzz in Google Maps, and even attach a picture. The only problem is that I can't see any buzz other than my own via Google Maps, but I can see more buzz via the browser, but none of what I posted.I think somehow Google Maps is using my Google Apps account for Buzz, but it's not actually working. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on here?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy speaker buzzes all the time on my phone (not the speaker phone - it works fine). It's not a network buzz, it's a vibration buzz of the metal or speaker. The center camera is also off-center a little bit, which makes me think something up there is off-center, misglued or loose.
We have two other evos and neither of them buzz on the same call. I called the Sprint Nav Voice Address thing from all 3 phones since that would be the exact same voice and words every time. Only mine buzzes. The other two don't have the camera problem either.
Any way to reduce the 12 second delay?

View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm using Advanced Task Killer. Every time I open it, it shows "Voicemail". It lets me kill it but when I close ATK and reopen it, Voicemail is back.
Running 2.1 ATK would keep all my task nice and dead until I needed them. Any ideas?
I've just recently decided not to use my task killer anymore after reading some convincing posts on here. My only concern is actually closing out of pandora...any suggestions?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter searching, I was unable to find any post that deals with my particular problem, and I don't know if it's a problem or something I have to deal with. On my LG Eve (unlocked, not yet rooted), when I run Task killer, I notice that there are two items in the list that look like configuration files (window with a gear in front of it):
com.tni.Task killer:Captain Obviously, the first one is linked to Task killer and if I kill the configuration file, it kills the Task killer process. When I try to kill beware.com, though, it does nothing. The file remains in the list and is also visible in the Task killer widget. (Speaking of the widget, when I kill Task killer, the icon for the 2 configuration files usually remain, even if I auto kill everything.) Doing a little searching on the tubes, I found that beware.com are the developer for Quick Settings. I don't think I downloaded that app yet, but I might have and subsequently deleted it. Is it possible that the configuration file remains after I un install an app? If so, how do I remove that con fig file?
I started a sample application and called finish() method when user clicks the button. Then it is showing the android home screen and called the on Destroy() method also. But if i am executing the 'ps' command in android shell still it is showing the dip of my application. What is the meaning of finish()? Is it not terminate the process? if not how can i terminate the process(we can do kill -9 pid in android shell but i want programmatic approach).
