Is there a forum that has a Rom developers section for the Droid Incredible like alldroid used to have for the Moto Droid? It is a pain in the arse to find roms for the Incredible as they seem to be scattered every where.

Figure the root hole isnt that old so it can still be considered new. But once word spreads, methods and roms improve, etc i bet this will be the happening place.Someone should coin the domain rootmydinc.com.Glad to be here with yall, you all are very helpful and nice to me.Hope im a pro soon and will be helping others soon so i can pay the community back!
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the Facebook app, when you go into your Home, you can select Notifications. I'm assuming this will show you anything new such as friend requests, etc.. It doesn't show anything for me. I have reset the phone 3 times and I still cannot get this section to work. I also go to Menu>Refresh and it still says "No notifications". I know I have some notifications pending because the desktop and mobile site both say I do. Does anyone else have this problem? I have also uninstalled any Facebook updates and it still does not fix this. Am I missing something?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need a calendar app that will let me copy parts of the detail section.
I create a new event on my computer. The details are usually a few pages long (For business) Google syncs it to the calendar widget. When I open it, I choose edit so that I can get to the copy app. But when I try to copy a section it wants to copy all text or none.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better calendar app? I use this feature a few times a day for business. It was easy on my Storm ;p . I want to figure out how to do it on my DIC.
Ordered it in mid May, just got it today (my dad had to wait for it to get shipped from verizon, then ship it from california to boston because i moved here for college). Anyways it came with the 2gb card and adapter separately, but the box is strange.. On the top side it has a huge cutout like someone at verizon used a exacto knife and cut a rectangular section out of the box. the also cut part of the hing where the top cover of the box is and taped it back.. just a little confused.. was it old specs on the box that they cut out?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking for some fellow developers to build a few applications that work together to allow the android phone to take advantage of cheap telephony services provided over the internet. These are sms, voip, calling cards and similar such services.I have been investigating this quite a bit and developing an app to work with PennyTel but i have discovered an issue with the Android OS. Android is not designed to let you replace low level systems in your app and there for there is no way to capture out going sms etc. This means that to write an app that sends all out going sms via pennytel is impossible and that the only way around this is to write your own sms client like ChompSMS and i am sure this will apply to other parts of the phone as well.What i am looking to do is make a reusable system that uses intents to do things. A complete sms application that uses an intent to send the sms so that more sms providers can be added later, a dialer and outgoing call system that will fire an event for another app to make the call etc.What I want is sever apps that use intents not just to open their app but also to choose the outgoing their service uses. personally i want to write one of the outgoing paths and i am looking for some developers who would be interested in writing the more front end apps like the dialer and sms applications.If anyone is interested let me know as it is just too much work for one person and i am sure your apps will be used by many people as more and more people could right services they could be hooked into.

E.g. if one developer has made thousands of sound board apps or themes for an app that I won't be using - I could hide that developer and wouldn't see his/her apps on the market?
If this is possible, I think it would make the market much less annoying when you have to scroll through hundreds of sound boards and app themes.
This would be some excellent support for the faithful Android developers. I have eight apps but live in Canada so I haven't been permitted to post them on the Market yet. Still I'm hoping Google might take this into account for Canadian developers who can't yet meet the sales criteria. I applied anyway and hope Google will respond so I can begin mobile testing.

The application is Scan2PDF Mobile which uses your phone's camera to "scan" documents and make PDF files which can be saved or emailed from the phone. Although she wants it to be small so I did my research and all I came up with is the Wildfire.However I've read that the screen resolution is much lower than on the Desire. Is that a real problem? I mean, does it really hinder the pleasure and ease of use that you get out of a smartphone?Is the Wildifre a good choice overall, especially for someone who doesn't really need a hugely powerful device?

These are all things that you should of known when buying the phone. No one forced you to buy it so please stop complaining about irrelevant issues. If you have a real problem post in the troubleshooting thread or return the phone. No one cares if your returning your phone. Not trying to rant but its getting ridiculous.

I've looked at Jeff Sharkey's SeparatedListAdapter and CommonsWare's MergeAdapter as examples of how to achieve this, and I now have a solution which works by providing a separate adapter for the content of each section. This creates a big performance problem, though. In my case, there are potentially thousands of items in the list, each with an associated date, and I want to use the date as section heading for all the items with that date. So, without section headings, I'd have a single Cursor which returns the items sorted by date. Nice and easy. With section headings, I'm currently doing this: One Cursor to select all distinct dates in the dataset. For each distinct date, a separate Cursor to return the items matching that date. Pour the dates (section headings) and separate SimpleCursorAdapters for each date's items, into my custom adapter.

Now I am almost sure I opened the Market since I have been back home and remember seeing the "paid" apps section with the prices in euros.Now when I access the market I don't have a "paid" apps section. Is it as simple as that the market may not be available in Gibraltar? or am i doing something wrong here.

CDMA Hero Root status? - Page 18 - xda-developers
I've been using the G1 for a while now and have been quite happy with it except that it only goes up to 1.6. In order to develop on 2.1 and beyond, I need to upgrade to a newer phone. I'd like to continue it using the new dev phone as my personal phone as well which limits it to AT&T for me. Seems like my only choices, according to http://www.google.com/phone, are nexus one, samsung captivate or HTC aria. Are all 3 good developers phones? Should I look for an unlocked droid instead? The nexus looks great but at it's a bit steep considering I'll probably need an android tablet for development as well soon. BTW, any thoughts on what would be a good developers tablet and when they might be available.
