My incredible pairs nicely with 2011 hyundai sonata bluetooth system and will connect but after one phone call, it disconnects from system and wont reconnect. I clear system on both phone and car but still does the same thing. unpaired and start from scratch but still does the same thing.

My Droid shows my Mac computer under Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices >. I can see it listed and it says "Paired but not connected". I then, on my Mac under the BT control panels, see "Droid" listed and it is also "paired but not connected."
Well, when I tell my Droid to "connect" via Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices > press my computers name (or long press and select "Connect") it grays out and says "connecting" and then my computer shows it as "connected". But, in a few seconds, the Droid reverts back to "Paired but not connected" and the Mac then also goes back to showing the Droid as "Not Connected".
I want to try this app that allows me to use my speaker and mic on my Mac to take and place phone calls, via BT, on my Droid - but I can't get the 2 to stay "connected" via BT. They pair, but wont connect. It pairs perfect with my car instantly every time.
Since the update my WiFi will not stay consistently connected to my home network. Sometimes I have to go in and force it to connect. I have deleted my connection and created a new one. Any one else having this problem?

Since the Froyo update if I am connected to both Wifi and Bluetooth while listening to music, the bluetooth will turn itself on and off over and over again. This did not happen to me prior to the Froyo update.I guess my question is, can we not be running and be connected to WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time with Froyo?

After months of trying, I STILL cannot find a single instant messaging app for my HTC Eris (2.1) that will STAY CONNECTED.I primarily want to connect to MSN (Windows Live, whatever they call it now) as well as Yahoo and AIM, though if I could only get MSN to work I'd be satisfied. However all the apps I've tried (ALL OF THEM!) behave the same way. Each one will connect, and either not show me as online to the rest of the world (verified my by gf), show my friends as not being signed in (when they actually are), and randomly disconnect me and NEVER RECONNECT ME unless I manually bring up the app on the screen. It's as if the apps have no connection to the IM's servers, or reality itself.I have tried MSN Talk, Meebo, Ebuddy, Nimbuzz. Each one of these claims to automatically reconnect if there's a problem, but NONE of them ACTUALLY DO. No matter what, I drop off, I'm shown as "signed out" to the outside world, and the apps will only reconnect (or pretend to reconnect) when I manually bring the app to the screen.I would expect that any IM might disconnect if I went out of signal range and came back, however this happens even when the signal is strong and uninterrupted. And it NEVER reconnects if I leave the phone alone. ONLY if I manually bring the IM app up does it even go through the motions of a reconnect.I can try messaging people even when it looks like it's connected to the server(s), but over half the time, the messages don't make it, because it's not REALLY connected at all.Again, this is using ALL IM apps I've tried so far.I refuse to believe that Android has ZERO working IM apps available, so... is there one that actually works properly? Is there some setting or tweak that will "keep-alive" the connection? Is there a problem with my Eris? Or... are there really no working IM apps for Android?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my Vibrant yesterday and hooked it up to my WiFi (netgear g-router). Everything worked great for about 30 seconds. I was able to jump through a few pages and then it stops loading eventually I get a message with something to the effect of "cannot connect to server, please try again later". This is not word for word. I called t-mo support and they were not able to find anything so they are sending me a new Vibrant, but I have a feeling that this problem will persist. I read through different posts and found a few that listed this problem some suggested:
-Download the WiFi Fixer app from the android market
-Switch the router settings from B/G to just G (I don't remember what mine are set to now, but I'll try this out when I get home from work).
If I really have to switch my router settings, what will I do if I'm traveling and have to use a hotel's WiFi hotspot or something? Does anyone have any ideas about this? I have no problems with my WiFi on my MyTouch 3G, so I'm not sure if this is a Samsung issue or an Android issue either way, I either have to figure out a fix or get rid of the phone.
Recently whenever I plug my phone into the charger or a mini USB cable it won't stay connected unless I hold it there. Would this be due to the cable or the actual plug on the bottom of the phone coming loose?
I had this happen with an LG Chocolate before and had to get it replaced.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
Gonna get a headset soon. Can u still use your phone for say playing games whilst talking.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is not a perfect solution but it does give a work around to the fact that, even though you can set the phone to not have the screen shut off when plugged in, you still have the problem of it dimming to lowest setting. Anyway, what I did to fix this was to download a program on the app store called keep screen. It gives you the option to make it so that the screen doesn't time out or dim for certain apps. What I did was just go in and select all apps and tell it to not dim on any of them.
Then on the front page of this app there is a button to "start/stop service" I use this button like a toggle. If my phone is plugged in I toggle that button and toggle it off when I unplug. It is not a perfect solution and requires manually doing the toggling but it's the best solution I have found to keep the screen and brightness up when my phone is plugged in. Anyway, just thought I would share in case anyone else was looking for a solution for this. Also, if anyone has found a better way of doing this i would love to hear it.
I paired EVO with my HP HDX (model HDX X18T-1200 CTO) easy enough, but it says 'paired but not connected' on my phone. I'd want to utilize this for PDAnet and file transfer if possible but hit a brick wall since it won't connect. I'm wondering whether this is something on the computer side of things, I've never done it before (because the hero would never be discovered on bluetooth) so I am curious as to how to proceed.

I have a friend who has an older android phone, I think it is a vodaphone branded phone, he has the ability to turn on bluetooth and if a connection is not made within a short time bluetooth automatically turns off and it also turns off if it is not connected for a short period. Sounds ideal if you want to connect to a head unit (bluetooth enabled car radio).I have seen such an app for android but it was only for Andriod 1.5 (or 1.6) and not any version newer than that - is there such a thing for 2.1 and 2.2 in the future?

I tried deleting the phone and re-pairing it, but that did not help. Yes, Bluetooth is ON. The car is listed on the Moment, stating "Paired but not Connected." Any ideas?

I didn't find an API to detect if a Bluetooth A2DP is connected. Can somebody point me out how to check? It looks like if I route audio to Bluetooth A2DP without check, the sound will be routed anyway, and the speaker is turned off.

If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) Please post the manufacturer and model in this thread. Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.
New user....about 1 month. Have been using my Motorola Droid synced to Ford's Microsoft Sync for making phone calls (2010 F-150). Two problems I could use some advice on: 1. To answer an incoming call, I have to slide the "slider" on the lock screen of my phone. Is there a button i can push because this kind of defeats the handsfree feature? 2. Recently used the bluetooth audio to listen to an audiobook on a long drive. Worked very well. Now, whenever I have my phone in my truck, it automatically starts the Music App and begins playing some random selection. Is there a way to disable this feature? I tried using the wireless blutooth settings for MS Sync and disabling audio, but as soon as I got back into my truck, it connected and played again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLately, I have had a lot of issues with my bluetooth headphones (won't start on the countless other issues). Out of no where it will stop working; so I go into my bluetooth settings and the headset says it is still connected.... (not the issue)
The issue is when I try disconnecting then re-connecting, the message "Headset is disconnected" appears and will not go away under any circumstance. It stays there when going back to the home page, putting the phone to sleep and back on, everywhere, even when reconnected!
The only way to get the message to go away is powering off the phone. I have repeated this several times with the same results 100% of the time.
In one of my application I need to display all the Wifi and bluetooth devices which are paired to my mobile and it's Signal Strengths .Wifi side it is ok for me to display signal strength(RSSI).But i got a problem at Bluetooth side.I searched for the method which is suitable for this task,i found one method that is intent.getShortExtra(BluetoothDevice.EXTRA_RSSI, Short.MIN_VALUE);

So I have the full version. I looked around and didn't see an answer. First off, I can't find a contact for the dev, or a FAQ on how to use it. I have had it for a few months and everything is great, but now when I am on the phone in the car on the dock and on my BT, I unclip the phone and it should change to my profile that still has the BT enabled. For some reason, my call screen is still blue (BT), but the handset engages and the bluetooth cuts out.

It only skips when it is connected via jack or Bluetooth to another player.
If i just listen to the Droid without connecting to anything else, it doesn't skip.
