I keep getting an alert and have no idea what it is...I just checked 'Notifications' (Menu--notifications) and I have a 'clear' box next to Verizon Wireless. Is this the alert I keep getting and what the heck is it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI originally had an incredible but my fiance like it so much I swapped with her for the original moto droid. Well before that I had no problem putting custom alerts for email and text messages. Well now I have my own Incredible and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again. Was something changed when the update to froyo went through or something? Someone help me out...I can't stand the preinstalled sounds.

When I get a new voice mail, there is no alert appearing at all in the "Messages" app on the home screen. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this or perhaps my voice mail is just hosed? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Update: Ive noticed I've been getting some weird text messages since getting this phone. Is there any way I can have different alert settings for each calendar?
For example, my exchange calendar, I'd just want it to pop up, but not ring/vibrate, but I want to ring/vibrate on my gmail calendar notifications.
I do see in the calendar reminder settings, that I can uncheck all calendars, and choose settings for a particular calendar there, but, I guess, for the unchecked calendar, there will be no reminder at all.
Maybe there's a 3rd party reminder program that can manage this if stock doesn't?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone on Thursday night. I like it so far but one thing about it is annoying me. It doesn't seem like I can make different sounds for all of my contacts for text messages. I can take music on my phone and assign it as different ringtones for each of my contacts but I don't seem to see any option for text alerts. Am I missing something? I already know how to add the music to the notifications folder I just can't do anything but use one as a default. I was able to do this with my BlackBerry Storm without any problem. Is there an app for that? If not I wonder when Froyo is available for the Incredible if it will be possible?

Now we have the Incredible that works great, but only if you hear the ringer.Has there been any discussion about an update, because I haven't seen anything? View 6 Replies View RelatedI keep my phone on vibrate most of the time and I've found that when I'm on the phone talking to someone and I get a new email, the phone vibrates so I can hear it, which is great. But the caller on the other end hears it too and they always end up saying 'WTF was that noise'? How to turn this off so callers don't hear the vibrate mode too?

When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

When the screen darkens and phone enters sleep after, in my case 1 minute of non-use, any calls coming in do not ring through. Voicemail picks them up but there is no indication that I have an incoming call unless I wake the phone up and check the upper left hand menu for the voicemail icon. This can't be set up right. When the phone is asleep (dark screen) but not powered off, there has got to be a setting that lets calls ring through and awaken the phone so it can be answered.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI compiled my app in Eclipse and export it as signed application package, when I install it on my G1, I got "phone calls" and "storage" permission alert, "phone calls" permission said: "read phone state and identity", "storage" permission said :"modify/delete SD card contents". but in my AndroidManifest.xml file, I never define these two permission, and my application never need the two permissions. Does anybody know why I get the permission alert? I use ADT 0.9.6. is that possible ADT compiler or signed tools inject the two permission into my app?

I use the stock messenger app. If I receive a text message while on a call, it plays the text alert music in my earpiece and I can't even hear the person on the phone to save my life. If I were to turn on the speaker, it is alot worse.

They added it to the update before this, but then removed it again on the the up to date software. I can't find anywhere on this forum where anyone else cares about this removal. Just thought I'd see if I'm the only one who misses this feature lol. And yes, I'm aware of Handcent and Chomp but I really prefer stock.
