HTC Incredible :: Bluetooth Pair But Won't Connect To PC / Way To Fix?
Sep 10, 2010So I can get my Incredible to pair with my Dell E6410 but it says not connected and I can't figure out why it won't connect I've tried rebooting both the phone and the laptop and also re-pairing them both to each other.

May 6, 2010Is there any way to have the directions come through my audio speakers in my Equinox? I have the phone synced up properly, and calls work great. I was navigating the other day, and a call came in and I answered with the handsfree system in the car. When directions came up, it cut in the call, and announced the directions over the speakers. Is there any way to directly do this for navigation only?
Another quick question. I have my phone set up with my Mac Book Pro. I can send files with bluetooth to the laptop, but when I go to browse the phone from the computer, it says connection failed. I do have ftp turned on on the phone.

Jun 15, 2012I have an MSI Windpad Enjoy 7 Tab that I used to to connect to an ELM327 OBDII bluetooth dongle for car diagnostics (torque app).
After upgrading from froyo to gingerbread, my tablet bluetooth doesn't detect the elm327 anymore, it also doesn't detect my car kit but it still detects other android phones perfectly well.
I know it's not a hardware problem or incompatibility since I already paired that device to this tablet before, it's a scan problem.
So here's my question: is there a way to "force feed" the bluetooth address of a device into android so it doesn't have to rely on a scan to find it?

Aug 28, 2010I just got my Evo yesterday, and so far everything has been great! I did most of the suggestions in the battery fix threads, and I managed to only drop to about 60% battery after 24 hours, even with decent usage. The problem that I discovered today was that I seem to be unable to pair to any Bluetooth devices after turning the radio back on (first time trying to pair). When I turn everything on, I simply can't see anything when I search for devices. I put the earpiece that I'm trying to link to in discovery mode, and the phone never sees it. Neither does it see the printer Bluetooth interface or the PC Bluetooth. The printer, at least, should be always discoverable.Finally, I tried linking to my wife's phone, and it could neither see her phone when I set it to discoverable, nor could her phone see mine when I made it discoverable.It looks to me as if my Bluetooth radio is completely non-functional, but does anyone know if there may be something simple that I'm missing? A hidden setting or a Bluetooth diagnostic test that I could run (loopback or other)? Does anyone know if the Bluetooth module is integrated on the main PCA or is a add-on module that might be disconnected?

Apr 25, 2010I'm about to upgrade my car stereo, and for about $30 to $70 more I can go with a bluetooth version, so I can stream music and hopefully books from audible.com as soon a they develop the app. I am planning to get the Verizon car dock or something similar to use the Google Nav. From reading posts in the Nexus One threads, the N1 streams music and phone calls well using bluetooth, and will pause music for nav instructions or a call.
Is it safe to assume the Incredible would work the same way? Also, I'd like to hear how others are planning to use their Incredible in the car. Ideally I'd like to drop the phone into the dock with the minimum of connecting charging cables, syncing cables, etc.

5. Tether!
6. PIM sync (hello WinMo users!)
7. Wireless printing
I've performed all of these functions without a hitch. So the Hero looks as if it's a better phone than anticipated... at least for me anyway.

Years back when I had Sony K800, i switched on BT on phone and laptop, and I could see the K800 on the "My Computer" page.
then i could enter and explore and transfer files directly through the windows explorer.Currently I have HTC Desire S, running Android 2.3.5 and Laptop CQ-45 (Compaq) running Vista.But I am not able to explore the phone easily.
To transfer file I have to select each file, then start the BT file transfer wizard on laptop, which could either send or receive ONE file at a time.if I try to send more than one file (pictures, few MBs), then only one gets sent and I have to restart the BT file wizard again to receive another file on the laptop.
I use this just if I need to transfer a few snaps i might have taken with the phone, for larger files (videos) i use the USB cable.I installed the BT File Transfer app from the Market, but that also does not work.
My wifi is not always on, so i cannot use Airdroid or some such way.Options are BT or USB.

Jul 29, 2010My manager has just bought himself a new Xperia X10 and he has setup the bluetooth connection, however when its paired to the laptop and a call comes in the laptop automatically answers the phone for him, so he has to switch the bluetooth off on his laptop until he needs it. Is there an option either on the laptop (Win XP SP3) or on the phone to stop this happening, the only features he really needs are file transfer and to use it as a modem.

I have downloaded the current version HTC_Sync_2.0.33.
Here is what happens:
Language message opens, selected english
Preparing to install window box opens. Starts decompressing HTC PC Suite.msi.
Then the installation stops and I get a Windows installer message window. It lists all of the install and display options. Clicking OK at the bottom stops the install.
I have all of the windows updates. Any ideas what setting on my laptop is crashing the install? I have loaded it successfully on other computers.
