HTC Incredible :: How Can I Force Updates To Open In App?

When I go down through my contacts, or my favorites and they have the green circle with a number to show updates, I open them up, go to the updates portion and if it says update no Facebook page, I select it. Problem is, it goes to Face book's mobile page and not the app, which is how I would like it. Has anyone else experienced this, know of a work-around/solution? I did a brief search and didn't really see anything.

If I open People it just sits at the loading screen Messages don't have the people names on it
The people widget doesnt show the group I cant click Phone or call or text anyone Then either people or HTC sense will force close. is there any reason why i can't do anything that relates to my contacts?

I've scoured the internets looking for an answer and haven't been able to find one. I want to know if there's a way to force Chrome to always open up a new browser tab when opening a link from an app. For example: I frequently use the reader app, and when I click on a link to open in Chrome, it opens it in the same tab as the one for the last link that I clicked. Furthermore, the browsing history isn't saved so I can use the back button to view what I have opened before.
Is there a way to force Chrome to always open up a new tab when I click on a link?

When I start the gmail app I would like it to ALWAYS go to the Inbox.Instead it starts with some old message displayed and I have to tap menu Back to Inbox so I can see new messages.And it's not like it's opening the last message that I was reading either it's some old message that's not even in the Inbox.Is there any way to force it to ALWAYS go to the Inbox when I start the app?

I downloaded imusic, an application in the market and now my phone is jacked up. It says I have no service and everytime I open anything....it force closes. tell me that I don't have to reset. I have not received any sms or calls all day.

Instead of the mobile version? I figured since froyo has flash, that facebook might be fully functional, but it always opens the damned mobile version, instead of the full main pc version.

I can install a custom from be cause superuser force closes after I open cwm to load into recovery. I can't even get into to recovery because of this fallen over Android both that has a red yield sign on it. Galaxy Nexus

With the lack of support the Eris has gotten for upgrading the OS, is there any concern that the Incredible will face the same fate in the future? Are we seeing a standard being set with the HTC phones that the OS support will be lacking? I don't know how often Android will be updated, but I'd hate to buy this phone only to see the OS upgraded in 6-12 months for other Android phones but not the Incredible.

If anyone has any ideas on beneficial updates to Google Android or Sense software to make the Incredible a better device to use post them here.
1. I'd like HTC to upgrade the Sense Keyboard. When you need to select a number or symbol, you need to hold in a key. The problem with this is that if you accidentally press a button by accident and want to "roll" your finger to the right one you are able to do this. The problem is you can only select the letter no matter how long you hold the key in the numbers and symbols will never pop up.
2. Make a separate app for Photo's and Video's or just call the app "Media"
3. Subtitle support in the default video player.

Every so often when I'm updating applications from the market, they fail to install after downloadIng completely. I install them again and it works, but the initial update doesn't work. Why is it doing this? The download location? I do have a sd card in the incredible from my previous phone, the droid, would that be the problem? What can I do to update apps without having to worry about redoing each failed install? I'm not rooted. Should this thread be moved? I am running froyo 2.2 version from droid world.

So my new incredible doesn't update like my blackberry did. I checked the settings and the notifications are selected, but nothing comes through. When I open the app and goto the home screen and then notifications, I have to force a refresh to see my responses, etc.

I have friendstream running, and it seems to update twitter just fine, but for some odd reason facebook status messages don't get updated unless I manually refresh.
I have double checked everything too, it should be checking every hour, so I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else experiencing this? Or does anyone know of a solid workaround?

Unfortunately I was going line-by-line through Jonamerica's root guide instead of reading through the whole thing in detail first. I ended up removing Twitter, facebook, etc w/o removing my user ID. Now, accountsync FC's everytime I try to open it. In light of my mistake, how do I correct this issue? I can't seem to find any answers via search.

I cant use my email. The gmail account works fine but the other icon doesn't. Whenever I tap on it, it FC. Whenever I reboot my phone, .android.email force close screen comes up twice.

I rooted my phone with Unrevoked3. Then applied Unrevoked Forever. Then tried to update to 2.2 with the Update.zip method from the google server file. Phone kept rebooting and force closing. Attempted to Unroot which I am not sure I did properly. I also think my phone is still S-off. Tried to update to 2.2 after unrooting and get errors and it aborts. Now I am also worried that I will not be able to receive the OTA update. Any suggestions? Any way to make sure I am unrooted?

I figured I might try starting something up for those who are having problems with Launcher Pro. It's a great home replacement and has far better functionality than Sense does IMO. The only issue is that it seems like some people are getting a lot of FC's.
I had a good week long run without any FC's, and then after an upgrade it seems like they're back.
If anyone has found any malicious widgets or apps that don't play nicely with LP, can you please post them up here?
