HTC Incredible :: Force Close Email
Nov 14, 2010I cant use my email. The gmail account works fine but the other icon doesn't. Whenever I tap on it, it FC. Whenever I reboot my phone, .android.email force close screen comes up twice.

Motorola Droid :: Email Force Close / All Emails Go
Nov 24, 2009I have had zero issues connecting my Droid with my corporate exchange client, which has been fantastic and refreshing, however, in the last week I have had email tell me it had to force close 3x.Each time it does, when I go to re-open everything is gone, it goes back to the sync an account/enter email address set up. Each time I do it on the far left the bars are a different color (what does this mean), right now they are the color of this smilie.Anything I can do to stop this from happening? Are there other email apps that might work better and have this not happening? I keep 2 weeks worth of emails on my phone so when something like this happens it is not a quick fix to get back where it was.

How can I Completely FLUSH These accounts clean..? Also.. Is this the NATIVE Email client or is it GMAIL? This is what happens when the Verizon folks do all this hand holding at the store..I have no idea what they setup..

HTC Incredible : Getting Random Force Close
May 16, 2010I keep getting random force close messages. I tap force close, which I guess means the app with the problem closed, but nothing really happens. Other than the inconvenience of the pop up message.
Usually it's .com or .HTC processes.

Jun 23, 2010Is there any way to fix the Friend Stream force close issue without a factory reset? I feel like that would be a huge hassle just to get this app to work again.
Also, whenever I receive a message in my inbox on Facebook the page just doesn't load when I try to access it from the Facebook application. I am always forced to go to the Facebook mobile site to check my inbox and I can't do it through the app.

Everytime I try to delete my messages from the inbox, the app force closes and when i go back to the app, it'll keep force closing until I shut the phone down. When I turn the phone back on, all my messages are still in the inbox. How I can erase the text messages from my inbox?

Aug 31, 2010I did the manual update and now when it boots up I do not get any network connection. When I go to the network connections it says that I am connected to the verizon network. But it will not show the bars or the 3G it just shows an x I am new to android. I used to update my Blackberry all the time I never had these issues. How do I get it back to 2.1 if I cannot get this fixed.
Also I went into my SD & Phone Storage Folder. And none of my SD or Phone Storage is available as if they r not even there. Now I am getting a window that pops up saying: Sorry System is not Responding force close/wait

Mar 30, 2010I just got my droid about 2 weeks ago. I returned it the next day because it kept force closing on my sms. They gave me a new one and haven't had the problem.until yesterday. At least twice a day now, since yesterday, i get a message saying: The application Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again...so i hit Force Close and then it just stays on a blank black screen so i hit the home button and hit messaging again and it pops up again. I take the battery out and that works for a few hours but then it just happens again...i don't wanna take this one back again and get a new one.I mean i have anti-virus (i dunno if it's good though lol) so I don't think it could be an app...i use the standard Messaging app that came with the phone, not Handcent or something else.will someone.I searched but they all seemed to be for different phones, not the droid.

Feb 13, 2010I've noticed that whenever I introduce some new awful bug to my app and it crashes, Android just keeps starting it up over and over again. I eventually have to hit the dial button on the phone just to make my app lose focus. I searched this group's posts and the developer documents.I can't find anything about this. Is this usual behavior? If so, is there some way to disable it? Maybe it's just my coming from a desktop background, but I kind of think that when something is closed, it should stay closed, especially if the reason it was closed was that it crashed. And of course, I hope my final app never force closes, but with all the different hardware you never know.
