I noticed when I plug the phone in via USB, it only shows a small subset of the files on the card. The only way I can see all the card directories/files is to take the card out of the phone and put it in my card reader
Does anyone have a simple solution for getting to all the files via USB? I saw there are some FTP apps - is that what everyone uses?

Does anyone know how the process of transferring music, photos, and video to and from the Incredible for an Apple user works? The Incredible will be my first smartphone. I currently have an Env, but transferring photos and videos I captured with it to my computer is a chore since the included software is Windows only.
A few more questions. Does the Incredible play AAC files, and how would documents be transferred back and forth via an app like Documents to Go?
i've downloaded some pdf files to my storage card. can't seem to find a way to delete them.

I could have sworn they were working before I did the install, but now they're not working. View 2 Replies View Relatedi noticed while putting movies on my phone storage, not my sd card, that files over 2 GB will not play. This is bad.I converted The Dark Knight the same as I convert all my other movies. It would play on my computer but not my phone. So I checked the "Details" of the file on my phone. It showed as 0 bytes when it should have been 2.09 GB.I thought it might have converted with an error. Converted it two more times. Same problem. Finally I converted it with a lower resolution to bring the size down to 1.8 GB. It plays just fine.

What happened is....
1) Installed Astro File Manger
2) Went to my picture folder (100Media) and did a copy
3) Went to SD Card and did a paste
4) Folder existed, so asked if I wanted to Merge.
5) Said yes
6) Now all pics missing
7) Compared my SD Card with my Orig I has backed on on my PC, and all looked fine
8) 10 min later I hooked back up to my PC (Phone idol) and half of the folders missing from SD Card.
9) Removed Astro and replaced with my Backup Files
Now the question.....
I fear it has also deleted files from the root of the phone, but never have backed this up. Can someone tell me the standard folders and files that should be in the root of the HTC Droid INcredible?
This may be somewhat of a silly/dumb question.....but can I rename the Nandroid backup files that I have made doing backups before flashing ROMs? I would like to know which one is which and I don't want to rely on my memory to have to remember. If this has been answered before, I apologize. If someone could point me in the right direction this thread can be deleted if it is old news.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Droid Incredible and record my video in 720p. When I copy the file to my pc Windows Media Player does not play the audio of the .MP4. The video plays fine however. (All playes fine on the phone)
I have a camcorder that also records 720 mp4 files, and it plays audio and video just fine on the same pc.
It is possible that another player might play the file fine such as VLC, but I like Windows Media Player, and prefere not to have 3-4 media players taking up resources on my pc.
I know there has to be away, but I can't figure it out. When someone emails me a word doc, how do I view it?
