Question! I'm a big fan of the dolphin HD browser, but I can't seem to find a way to turn off 'mobile view.' There are lots of websites I like that won't let me see video if it detects I'm on a mobile device.
The stock browser has an option under settings to turn off mobile view, and it usually works.
Does dolphin browser have something similar? I can't seem to find it...

There's a way to set the browser so it doesn't go to the mobile version of pages always. i can't even get to the regular version of espn. i could before, but i cleared my cookies and can't anymore. i don't want to view any mobile versions!

View 3 Replies View RelatedWell I just downloaded the Dolphin Browser on to my Incredible today. I noticed that playing videos was actually better with putting it in the Iphone mode. In fact I cant even get it to load with the android mode, and the desktop mode while it has better quality because its loading the actual site video, the video seems to skip and frame rate. So sound comes before the lips or vice versa. On the Incredible the best video loader by far is You Tube player, that seems to be the best and I can even put videos in high quality mode.
I wish I could play every video with the you tube video player as it is the clearest and sharpest video player out of everything that plays on the web. the 2nd best browser for playing videos is the skyfire browser, but that for me only works half the time and can seem like a pain. Anyone got any suggestions to making the video work better that would be great, coming from the moto droid to this phone for video reasons, am very unhappy with so far. I hope in the future that they can fix this problem of mine. Its just so pix pix-elated.

Basically, i have always viewed my outlook (hotmail) emails through boat, and they have always showed in mobile view which is great, the last couple of days i noticed that my boat will only allow me to view outlook in desktop view now which is horrible to use on a phone, nothin i can do will get ot to switch back to mobile view again, i view outlook a lot and cannot currently view it how i want using boat
I have started to encounter an issue that is annoying me, i am using the latest versoin of boat browser 7.3, i am not sure if this issue is since updating to the latest version or if it's something to do with recently upgrading to android 4.4.2? my phone is a samsung galaxy s4.
All other sites are showing in mobile view, only outlook doesn't seem to want to.
Its there any way to make dolphin the default browser for all applications that launch a browser? Like quick search?
View 13 Replies View RelatedFor the past 30 minutes, my Incredible has had zero bars...no 3G and no 1X. I tried to open the web browser and it said no data service could be found and that I needed to enable wifi or the mobile network. I checked the settings for the mobile network and it says "turning on" and it's greyed out. What's going on here? I've already tried turning it off/on again 3 times now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my Desire 3 weeks ago. At first everything was okay and the websurfing experience great. But during the last week the browser has been forcing me to view the sites i visit in mobile view, only some of them and unluckily the site i visit the most. I've had the mobile view setting unticked from the beginning. So thats not the problem. I've also tried to clear all the browser data and reset to default settings many times But nothing works. I'm starting to think that a factory reset is the only option, but I wanted to check if someone else has experienced this and/or knows a solution to this problem.

View 24 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I read on one of these threads that the Dolphin B browser was very good but I'm not sure, after using it, if it's any better than the browser that came on my phone from the factory. Any insight?

It is possible to block all the background work dolphin do with ads and the other unneeded service which use data and battery?
Suppose you leave dolphin open on a simple page while you are reading he is continuously using your system even if you don't need...It's really heavy specially for the battery.
The layout and options as auto Fullscreen are amazing but i would like it working as the stock browser without connecting in the background with the dolphin server without permission...

I have noticed when I visit a website on this browser it renders the page very small. I compared it side by side with the regular Dolphin browser that renders pages in normal size. Of course I can pinch zoom but its annoying to have to do that on the hd version,.. am I missing something maybe? Also I cant find youtube on the hd version...

The thing is I can't figure out how to use it or set it as my browser. I can't even find it on my applications, but it says that it's installed when I go to the Market. And I tried to go to Settings Applications. But then I couldn't find anything on changing the default settings.
