HTC Incredible :: How Stock Music Player Find MP3?
Apr 30, 2010How's the music player find the music? I am currently just dragging mp3s or album folders onto a random folder on my sd card. The music player finds these songs and plays them but I am curious if there is a better way to organize media stored on your phone. I currently have ASTRO file manager but I haven't done much with it.

Sep 1, 2010Where can I find the stock Android 2.1 icons for my Incredible? I am using LauncherPlus Pro and would like to replace the icons on the dock bar with standard Android ones. But, they are not usable in LPP unless I have the .png files or an icon pack.

HTC EVO 4G : Stock Phone Does Not Find Any Updates
Oct 5, 2010Ok, so I restored my phone back to stock, when I go to system updates, says my phone is up to date, however my phone is not 2.2 its about 6 months old.
Any thoughts? I'd like to update to 2.2 and then find a reliable "full" root procedure for 2.2.

Oct 16, 2010Can anyone please help me port the Hibernate feature that is in the new SkyRaider 3.3 ROM, and for the Desire. I am very interested in getting this feature on either RMK's new stock leak ROM or the 2.2 OTA stock ROM. Yes I know about the 3-1 reboot option along with hot boot. but im really interested in porting this over to a stock ROM for us. I wish I had the know how and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help me out with this.

Apr 29, 2010My Incredible is still on the charger and will be for a few hours. Since I can't poke around in the settings yet, is there a way to find your MAC address? My WAP is setup with MAC filtering, so I will need to know it for wi-fi to work properly.

Aug 4, 2010Ok, I'm sick of looking around for the answer to this. And I apologize if its a "noobish" question:
When I plug my phone into my computer two drives come up (H: and I. From what I can tell, I: is my SD card, because it has the DCIM folder with all my pictures in it. Now...When I tried to put videos (mp4s,.avi) in there, I could not for the love of god find them through my phone! (I use Rockplayer to view videos by the way and its great so far). When I did finally find them through some file explorer in a strange Root folder called eccm or something I couldn't open them cause they didn't seem to get recognized by RockPlayer. But when moved those same files/folders to H: drive (my internal memory I assume) they showed up in rock player and I could play them.. Same thing goes for comics, I couldn't find my .cbr files when I put em on the SD card drive. The other reason this is hard for me to tell is that my SD card is 8gigs, which is the same as internal storage right?
So...Does the phone combine internal and SD storage and show it as two drives for some odd reason (I doubt it and I feel ******ed even asking)? And more importantly, can I store videos on the SD card and have 'em show up in file exploret/rockplayer/android comic viewer right off the bat? Cause it seems that by default RockPlayer or most programs show the internal memory and all its folders when opened, not what you put into your SD card..

Apr 28, 2012I've dragged and dropped some podcasts (mailnly this American Life episodes) onto my Kingston card via Kingston/media/Podcasts. This is the same process I use to bring music over (but I put into Kingston/media/Music.
I can't find the podcats through the phone. I thought the podcasts may be accessible through the Music app, but only my music albums are viewable.I know they've got to be right in front of my face but I can't seem to access the podcast content.

Nov 11, 2010I have been trying different ROMs for months now via ROM manager. Anyway, I downloaded a ROM to my SD card (I always pick the "download folder") and then go into ROM manager and choose "install from sd card" but I can never see the ROM. For example, last night I DL the red theme for the redemptive ROM. I did not get any error messages. It look to transfer just fine. But I can find the blasted thing! I've tried looking via TB but still nothing. I've also tried via recovery but that did not work either. I have a feeling I am overlooking something stupid and as I said...will feel quite dumb but oh well.

May 28, 2010I'm trying to sync and employee's new HTC Droid Incredible to our exchange server. Using the Exchange shell prompt I enter in the person's device id and alias to authorize just that device to sync with their account. Once I do that, no other device can sync in the future unless I enter the command line again with the new Device ID.
This employee had an old Motorolla Droid already synced using this method, so their account is 'locked' until I enter in the new Device ID. I have another employee who has their Incredible successfully synced, but it was their first device. When I first sync a device with an employee who's never had one associated before, I go into Outlook Anywhere webmail, and can see the device ID. Based off of the second employee, the Incredible's Device ID isn't based off of the serial number or any other device info. I even downloaded ID and My Phone Info from the marketplace store, and none of those numbers that it reports back resemble anything with the ActiveSync Device ID of the successful employee. For iPhones, it's simple, just add Appl to the serial number and that's the phone's device ID. Any thoughts on how to get the ActiveSync device ID on an Incredible with out first successfully syncing it to the account first?

HTC Incredible :: Phone Can't Find TP2 Wifi Hot Spot / Get It?
May 5, 2010Just wondering why my Incredible can't find my TP2's wifi hot spot. I'm at work, and it found three secured networks near me (to which I don't have the PW of course), but it never picked up on my TP2 although they were less than a foot apart from each other. So I added the TP2 network via the add function, and it said my TP2 network was out of range. My work laptop was able to connect to the TP2 (even through VPN) with no problem.
