Is there a way for us to buy music, as simple as apple has made it?
Id love to hear a song and run to buy it if i want to, and it ends up on my sdcard as an mp3 preferably so i can save to my pc as backup

I went to MarketPlace and searched for "Amazon" but could not find any Amazon MP3 App. I tried to purchase an album from amazon.com, but it says I need to install an "Amazon MP3 downloader" to purchase albums and it does not give me an option to download a version for the Android OS (however, it asks me to select one of 4 linux distributions). The other option I have is to buy and download individual songs from amazon.com, but I don't want that. I want to download entire albums. What is the best option I have? (P.S: I am not looking for free music).

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed the Amazon MP3 App (the one that comes preinstalled with the phone) doesn't work if Wifi is turned on? I've tried it on two wifi networks (home and work) and I can't purchase or download if it's on.
I don't know if it matters, but both networks use WPA2. One is PSK and the other uses RADIUS authentication.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so does anyone know a fix?
I listen to a large number of podcasts weekly. I use to download them to my computer and then transfer them to a folder on my Moto Droid called PODCASTS. This folder would show up under PLAYLISTS in the native android music player. This makes it very easy to listen to one podcast after the other. The HTC music player does not work this way. I drop a bunch of podcasts into a PODCAST folder and they are scattered throughout the music app. Has anyone found a way to put files directly in a playlist when accessing the device as a drive?

I have the HTC Incredible...my brother has the Moto Droid. One of the things I liked on his device is the Amazon MP3 app. But it is not available on the Incredible. Is there away to put this app on the Incredible without rooting?

Had to extract it (apk file) once from a different G1 rom, since it was not in the rom I installed- awhile back.
I can't seem to make Amazon MP3 download to the SD card.As I understand MP3 downloads should go to the SD Card by default.On my phone (non-rooted) it keeps on creating "amazonmp3s" folder on the phone internal memory storage to save downloaded files. Amazon MP3 app doesn't have a setting to save to the SD. How can I fix this? Am I missing something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed the 2.2 update on my Incredible. Don't know if it's me but it seems a tad bit slower than the last OS. I'm also noticing on my Advance Task Killer that I have Skype, Amazon MP3, Slacker, Kik, and other applications open most of the time without even touching the apps. Also pressing KILL all applications does not do the job! I gotta hold the application and press force stop myself.
Also earlier today I noticed I got incoming and missed calls from people in my phonebook, but when checking my call logs, it doesnt show their name it just the number and thats it.
So if anyone else is experiencing this please or has a solution to this please reply back.
ive read several threads regarding people who purchase a "new" EVO only to find out it was "used" I notice they typically notice some minor defect on the device. They ask the rep who "promises" that its new. they then take the device home and find out several weeks into the 30 days that they were given a returned phone and sold it as new.
Why in god's name, with all the stories of this going on.. wouldnt you just turn on the EVO with said "defects" and look at the call count/timer and refurb status in the phone WHILE YOU'RE IN THE STORE! if its used, show the rep.. tell him you DONT want a USED phone, insist on a new one.. and dont buy if you dont like the used handset! And telling me you dont know how isnt an excuse. there are EVO user guides on sprint's website.. or just open the user guide that COMES with the phone. as the saying goes.. "let the buyer beware!" I have ZERO sympathy for people in these scenarios!
Is it possible to purchase the HTC EVO directly and outside of the contract? Right now I'm on Sprint's cheapest plan, and I don't want to upgrade to Sprint's data plan which would cost me $50 more per month. I know that a direct purchase would be more money, but assuming I have the phone for two years, it can't be $1,200 more ($50*24). I'm only going to use the web features at home or in the office, where I have WiFi anyway. If I REALLY need to use the data service here or there, it still won't cost me $50 more paying per KB. When at home or in the office, I could also use Google Voice to make all of my phone calls over WiFi if I go over my 300 minutes (which I won't). Will Sprint allow me to activate an unlocked phone on their network? Are there glaring gaps in this plan?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi was one of the first batch evo owners ( proud owner as of 6.4.10) however over the last few days i have had a few weird errors pop up. The first one was with the FM radio, it simply wont work right for long period of time. I would play the radio and the icon would show up on the notification bar, then the phone would go into idle, however after about 10 mins of idle if i wake the phone to try and change the station or lower the volume, the icon for the FM radio dissapears from the notification bar although the radio is still playing. At this point i am not able to lower the music and upon opening the FM radio app, the playback stops and the app loads but fails to complete stalling at the last 10%.
The 2nd thing is the music player. I have about 160 songs on my evo's 8gb micro SD card. I have also installed the Update sprint/ HTC released on launch day to combact the SD card issues. The 3rd day of me having my evo i was on my way home from work and decided to listen to some music via my headphones. as i was playing the music in the background, an incoming IM from aim sounded over the music and it suddenly stopped. when i checked the music player, it still showed as playing the music although nothing was coming out of the headphones. i tried unplugging them and no go, i tried raising and lowering it but no go, i even tried killing the music player app via an app killer ( advanced settings > Show core Apps) and still it wouldnt work. I was curious so i tried pandoras radio to see if it wss just the Media player and pandoras radio would not play any sound either through the speaker nor the headphones. only after shutting down and restarting the phone did the problem go away.
Today heading home from work, i decided to listen to music once more and the SAME thing happened twice... this time the Evo would finish playing one song and that would be it, the following song would not be heard through the headphones nor the speaker. IT didnt happened back to back after every song but it happened twice within a 45 min train ride to work. the first time it happened after 30 min of starting music playback and the 2nd time it happened right after finished restarting and playing one song.. i tried all the steps i tried the first time and nothing worked. ( except for restarting the phone). even pandoras radio didnt work either. It would finish playing one song and blank..nothing else would come out, although i tried a phone call and i could still hear audio through the headphones. Im not sure whats going on. i hope this is a software issue and not hardware related..
I just uploaded my application in the market, but I'm not able to purchase it (it's a pay app). I saw here that it seems to be made by design, but then why the error message is Server Error try again? Is there a way to bypass that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently found PowerAmp and started using this as my only music player. However, when I enter Car Dock the music button links to the stock music player. How do I / can I change this default so that PowerAmp starts when I press the music button or any of the music controls once I enter the music player in the Car Dock? I've tried other players (Mixzing, Music Mod) and all have the same issue. I also haven't found a substitute Car Dock that I like, so I'd like to keep using the stock one until an update to it comes out.
