I know there are 20 million battery threads but I don't think anyone covered this issue. My battery was at 77% and I have a long day ahead of me so I figured I'd plug it into the wall while I used it to check twitter. Roughly 30 minutes later the battery is 72%. Is this a problem with something I'm doing or does viewing twitter use battery faster then it can charge?

With the Samsung Vibrant there is the USB cable and the charger that you plug the USB cable into (to charge it from the wall). I was wondering if charging the battery from a PC was any different the plugging the USB cable into the wall charger? I would like to just keep the USB cable plugged into my PC and charge it that way but I want to know if it will get the same charge as it would with the wall outlet.

And with it, my battery temperature has been idling in the 30-35 range, higher in my pocket, and therefore its been at 40 constantly. I've done nothing today with it besides maybe 15 minutes of music via headphones total, and I'm getting like 17 hour battery life. I used to get this while spamming apps, playing around, browsing, etc. Does temperature increase battery use or is it time to switch ROMs (Petes 0.8 has been a battery drain on me).

One thing that will be useful until I get something of a larger size nature is the 8GB MicroSD card that came with the BlackBerry Storm One. What I need to know is if there is something I should do like reformat it prior to sticking it in the HTC Droid Incredible. I do not have an adapter to plug it into my laptop, but there might be a way to clear it out from the BlackBerry. I just don't want to "infect" my new phone with the crappiness that is my BBS1 phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a male to male 3.5MM connector to plug into my aux port in my stereo of my car. I can stream Pandora, slacker etc, with no problem. HOWEVER, when I initially plug it in, my notification bar shows the headset Icon. After a while however, it turns into the Microphone enabled headset icon and it pulls up the Voice dialer app. This then kill slacker/pandora or anything else I'm running. If I'm able to listen for a while without it messing with the streaming app, once someone calls, then music stops, I can talk handsfree and then it goes back to the music when the call ends. But then almost immediately, the voice dialer app is brought back up and I'm back in the same situation where everything dies.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe left lower side of my battery cover doesn't fully snap into place, causing an annoying gap. It was never like this, but I took the cover off to remove the battery, and when I tried to put it back in, it wouldn't snap. I tried a different cover and it still didn't fit... I have no idea why it wont snap in all of a sudden. Anyone else have this? I'm on my fourth epic, If I have to go to #5 I might just say forget it and save my upgrade

I'm rooted and running the latest FRESH (1.0.1) rom, so I wasn't sure if it is because of the rom or if it was meant to be this way. I've never had USB Debugging checked prior to rooting, so I wouldn't know. Doesn't really bother me, just curious.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEverytime I plug my EVO into my PC I'm not getting the option list to either charge it, sync it, etc. It happens quite frequently. I have the Ask Me checked under the Connect PC Settings but for some reason it doesn't ask me all the time. The only thing that fixes it is a soft reset. It'll work for the day but the next day it won't work again. I've done a hard reset twice and still it does it. It's really weird.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I plug my phone into the computer and mount it, I get "F" and "G" drive showing up. When I click on "F" the folders that show up are "DCIM" "download" and "sounds" if I click on "DCIM" inside there I get "camera" and "music". I believe that's the SD card because when I open "DCIM" then into "Camera" I see all of the pictures and video that Ive taken.
One problem I had today was I tried to add a couple of pictures directly into the "camera" folder, from my computer, I see them in there, close everything down, unplug the phone, open up gallery and those pics just refuse to show up?? . .(I'm pretty sure its not a size issue they were relatively small files) Next is the "G" drive. I click on that and see "albumthumbs" "android" "bluetooth" "DCIM" "download" "music" "sd" (which shows up as a hidden folder) "sounds" and "where". When I click on the "DCIM" folder in this drive I get ".thumbnails" and "camera" Inside the "thumbnail" folder I see a mixture of some pictures I've taken and any pictures I've saved from text or email.
I have no idea if this is the way the phone should show up when I plug it in. the two trees of folders seem very confusing. when you plug your captivate in that has an SD card, how should it look when you hit "my computer" If you could give me a scenario of the "folder" tree, or trees. that would be cool.
I cannot for the life of me figure out where I access the SD card on my Legend without plugging it to the PC. On my old touch diamond 2 I had a file browser - I can not find it on my Legend. It brings up the pictures in the picture browser, but I can't find the ringtones I have on it to use instead of the build in on the Legend.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first plugged in my ear phones into my first Hero phone after a while (5 min) the songs shuttled and turned itself off. I tried to listen to some music again but the phone didn?t recognise that the ear phones were plugged in after that. I sent that phone back and got a new phone. I was going to wait until 2.1 OS came out but when I heard that it wasn?t coming out till March I thought I might try this new phone out been as though I have had it for a couple of months without listening to any music (expected the same though). And the same happen again. It sounds like its the 1.5 OS or the ROM not updated yet because I had already set up all the phone before I realised I had to do this. So thats why I decided to wait until 2.1 and get it all over with and hope it solves the problem.

Many have reported it can be cured with disabling Network Location, then it was the basebands that could help, then it looked like the problem is in USB charging. Well my no sleep is a unique one and I dare to say it has nothing to do with anything and it's total luck. My Galaxy goes into no sleep as soon as I receive a call. JC6+galaxo. First it was with JC6 baseband as I said in the JC6 thread. Then I flashed II5 baseband and it worked great. It was fast, WPA Ent worked. But off course, I received a call and it went into no sleep again. No network location, no USB plugging in, looks like it is triggered by unique things. I'm officially tired of this piece of junk. I'm going back to my II5 nandroid backup. And I was so happy with JC6. Damn you Samsung. If this isn't resolved in one month I'm spending money and getting a Hero. (cheap enough, and at least it has tons of 2.1 firmwares).

The problem I have with my DX is that when I plug in the headphones, it will automatically dial the most recent # in my call log. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a setting somewhere and I just cant find it? Also the Mic inline does not work, it uses the phones mic from what I can tell.

I'm not talking about the toast/pop-up about unsafe volume levels being dangerous (I've disabled that with Wanam). The devices I'm using are the Samsung Galaxy Light and LG 8.3 G Pad, both running 4.2.2, but I'm pretty sure it's a universal thing and the actual devices don't matter.

Whenever I do, it causes the web browser to automatically open and start playing an annoying "helpful video" from the Verizon site. Does anyone know how to make it stop loading? Obviously I can close it out, but it is really annoying. I have root, so I can access the internal memory and delete the offending file. I just don't know which one to remove.

I think one or two gills, pressing from above onto the USB-Port, constructed into the case, would be enough to solve the problem. So the leverage-forces wouldn´t take effekt to the solder-spots of the USB-Port, but to the (new constructed) gills and the case of the X10.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy battery life was bad, but it was OK, but in the past few days my battery life is 10% per 30minutes(Just over 5 hours on a charge).I used to get 8-10 hours on a charge.I noticed last week that while it was charging the status of the battery was "Overheat".I think I somehow cooked the battery?I use TaskKiller and kill 95% of apps automatically, I have bluetooth,wireless,GPS disabled and the screen dimmed.I have not changed or installed any new apps.I have not changed the way I use the phone at all.My battery was dead, 0%, and it charged to 95% in about 45 minutes.Is this even possible?In fact in the past two days I have not gotten the charge above 95% at all.

How will this affect my app?
I have an app on the market that requires sdk 2.0. I want to rewrite and publish it using 1.6 to find a wider audience.
The question is: if I update my already published app with an sdk downgrade to 1.6 will it then show up to users with phones at 1.6? I know currently the market search shows my app only to those that have 2.0 phones.
