I get a crash and this message in the console window:

does anyone have any ideas why this isnt working and what i can do to fix it?

Jun 11, 2010I've tried a number of different Barcode Scanner apps with my Evo and have run into the same problem with all of them: they keep trying to auto focus and can't seem to capture the barcode. I don't know if this is a problem with the interface between the autofocus on the EVO 8.0 Megapix. camera and the applications or if it is something to do with my lighting; I'm using it indoors with comfortable incandescent lighting, but not bright task lighting and the camera shows the image as fairly red skewed, as if it is a lower light situation.

Apr 9, 2012I would like to program or build a QR scanner for Android. However, I know nothing about programming so I would need a step by step instruction.
I have sucessfully used MIT App Inventor to make a QR scanner, however I want to add features. As far as I can see, I cannot output sourcecode in App Inventor, so I'm unable to edit the parts I want to.
Basically I want to change the filters and colours of an image before it gets sent to a QR reader. The QR reader could use live capture from a camera or just stills. I only need a proof of concept, so it does not need much else.
I'd probably get as far as installing Eclipse, and starting a project. But so far I have no idea what to do with source code, or how to add the feature I require.
HTC Incredible :: Phone Area Code - Show Up / Not Name
May 2, 2010this kinda sucks unless someone has an answer, Any phone numbers on my last phone that were in my area code, I never had to enter it when putting in the user for the caller id to show up properly so right now I have all my number with a 631 area code not showing up on the caller id as the name because 631 is not in there number on my phone, I am in 631, I shouldn't need to put 631 before every number when I store it for it to show up properly.... in my phone I have a user, we will call her Tara, My phone and hers are 631 area codes so in my phone it says Tara - Mobile - 555-5555 BUT when she calls, her caller id does not show her name,

Jan 12, 2010DL 2 different scanners, barcode scanner and shopsavvy. Neither one works worth a darned. Have tried different items usually common ones i.e. a case of Mtn. Dew. It chokes and says it can't find a retailer. Seriously?! If it can't find even a simple case of pop which hundreds of retailers have, that's pathetic!! Has anyone found a real BC app that has actual products and works?

Oct 31, 2010Thought I was clever enough to try to root my Desire but fell at the very first hurdle and now seem to have some problems. I tried to format the sd card after backing up my apps (not everything else). Wasn't sure at first if this worked which I still have my doubts. However I did lose all my video and photos which I am not overly bothered about but have lost several important apps and now when I try to download them again from market the download just stops unacceptably and nothing happens. Can't get barcode scanner and many others despite leaving it downloading overnight.
