May 3, 2010I caved and ordered the Incredible last night. The rep told me to pre-register the rebate so it doesn't take so long to get but she never gave me the UPC or Rebate number.

Jul 25, 2010I'm looking at buying the X tomorrow at a Corporate Store, rather then a Wireless Zone store. The main issue right now is, my dad does not want to spend $600 for 2 phones (YES I KNOW THERE IS A REBATE), so technically it would only be $400, but the rebate would take at least 2 weeks. One of my friends told me that if you pay for the phone at a Corporate Store, rather than a store like Verizon Wireless Zones is that you get an Instant Rebate. If its possible to get an instant rebate at a Corporate Store, this would be 10x easier on my dad, knowing he will get an instant rebate, and it would only be $400 give or take right up front.

Nov 2, 2009I just pre ordered my DROID by calling into Verizon Wireless Sales, their main number and they give the instant rebate over the phone if you do it over the phone ... so yeah just wanted to give a heads up.
I won't be getting my phone on friday, anyone who pre orders over the phone will NOT get your phones on friday, it would be like tuesday or wed...
I'm actually fine with waiting because i know i will get one.
Another FYI- the verizon rep over the phone said they have 65,000 units to sell for PHONE sales... this is seperate then what best buy and verizon stores are getting..

May 2, 2010this kinda sucks unless someone has an answer, Any phone numbers on my last phone that were in my area code, I never had to enter it when putting in the user for the caller id to show up properly so right now I have all my number with a 631 area code not showing up on the caller id as the name because 631 is not in there number on my phone, I am in 631, I shouldn't need to put 631 before every number when I store it for it to show up properly.... in my phone I have a user, we will call her Tara, My phone and hers are 631 area codes so in my phone it says Tara - Mobile - 555-5555 BUT when she calls, her caller id does not show her name,

If your code is 7777, this is how you would program it: *86p7777#p1
The p stands for pause. Once you program this, all you have to do to check your voice mail is hold down the 1 button on the phone and the phone will do the rest.I'm pretty new to smartphones.This is one of my favorite tricks.

Aug 4, 2010when I'm at work I want Tasker to automatically forward my calls to my work phone. It can do that w/ its autodial feature. Now, I know that *72 will forward my calls to the number I specify, and *73 will disable that once I leave the defined area. The problem is that I use YouMail, and apparently *73 is the code for disabling the *71 busy/answer forwarding as well. It seems stupid that verizon used one code to disable 2 different features. How do I disable the *72 feature w/o disabling the *71 one?

Dec 15, 2008Could it be at all possible to code an app for the G1 that would allow you to say, slightly jerk the phone to the left or right, and that gesture would act as a phone shortcut? Since the phone is equipped with an accelerometer, it seems like it could be possible to have it behave a certain way, depending on certain movements. So say I wanted to start writing a SMS message. Without even having to touch the screen, or any of the buttons, I simply just jerk the phone slightly to the right (or any sort of gesture), and then up comes the compose SMS message menu.
