Does anyone know a way to edit the contents of a Folder that you create as a widget on a Homescreen? I know you can edit the name by tapping and holding it but I want to delete some stuff i put in the folder. I tried locating the folder with Astro and could not find it on the phone memory or the storage card.

Just got my verizon Incredible. It came with some applicaitons on the home screen (Peep) that I want to delete. When I do a long hold on it and drag it to the Garbage can it does not delete from the home screen. After trying it again, I must have accidentally dropped into a folder that was created on my home page to hold documents of mine. So ...
1) how do I get peep hopefully off my system, but at least off my home screen
2) how do I edit the FOLDER on my home screen to remove peep?
Does anyone know of a widget that will display the contents of the inbox on the home screen? So that, without opening gmail I can glance at the phone and see the 3-5 most recent messages, sender and subject? I have looked all over the market and can't find anything like this.

I want to display a keypad with numbers and mathematical operations and when the user presses the keys the corresponding number is displayed in edit text. I tried using get text() and updating the contents of edit text but it shows just the contents of pressed button. Also how do I read the contents of button so as to do mathematical operations in code?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have x10 mini 2.1 since I updated to 2.1 any long press on home screen or corner icons goes directly to edit either widgets or icons depending wich screen I have up.This is anoying because many times I press just a little too long and for example end up in the edit icons mode instead of opening messages like I wanted to. Is there anyway to get this as it was on 1.6? Long press didnt open edit, the only way to open edit was trough menu key.

I've done a lot of searching and reading, but can't seem to find anything on this, except to delete the folder and then recreate it in the order I want, this is quite difficult for something that I should be able to just drag around in the folder.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying out new ROM's and it's been fun. Here is my biggest headache with doing this. I have about 10 contacts that are Direct Dial (speed dial to the rest of the world). What I do is put them in a folder as a shortcut to prevent accidental dialing. But I have to constantly redo this set up. Is there a way to save a folder and it's contents, such as direct dial numbers, to my sd card and bring it back with each new ROM or launcher? Starred folder doesn't work for me as it's more clicking when I am driving. The app Direct Dial still takes several clicks.

Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Sorry if this sounds silly, but what are the benefits of using a launcher or home screen replacement (launcherpro, ADW, etc?) I mean, they look like they are copies of Sense UI, so I really do not see the benefit if you are on an HTC phone. I could definitely see if for other Android devices, but I am just confused as to what the benefit is.

Instead when I select them I am taken to a screen with uninstall and details as choices. Usually if I tap the widgets they are placed on a home screen where they can be launched.

The phone is suppose to be fully customizable but it seems that the one thing I have yet to figure out is how to change where my home screen is located. I would much rather have my home screen set as the left most screen instead of having it directly in the middle of my seven available screens. You know, sort of like how the iphone is and what not. If I try to add a program to my home scree, none of the apps recently installed (e.g mint.com, yelp, dictionary) show up in the list. But if I go to "All programs", they are there. Has anyone else had such a problem?
