Sep 17, 2009I checked out youtube in browser instead of app. i thought that the hero had a flash player so how come videos dont work in browser?

Nov 14, 2009I am really interested in buying this phone. The only thing that is worrying me is that some people say that when you play You Tube is not as good as the Iphone and there is some problem (Jitter) when playing flash videos.

Jan 31, 2010Everytime I search for a music vid on youtube, it only results with live performances, not an actual music video, even when I type in "official music video" I get random and live results of stuff that has nothing to do with what I searched for. Also when I go directly to the site, it asks to view vids with the browser, but nothing happens becauuse of flash player. When I first got my droid, the internet worked great, now its slower than dial up. And face book problems suck so bad I have to type in facebook.com everytime, even then, it keeps directing me to touch, and mobile. I know some of you are having sim problems with facebook, actual help would be great, I don't know how to disable viewing in mobile only.

I have tried Boat Browser and Dolphin, and they both behave the same way. If I google search for a youtube video through one of those browsers, and I click the youtube link from the google results... it will go to the youtube mobile page within the browser (rather than open the youtube app and play the video).
How to force the youtube app to always play videos linked from browsers?

May 16, 2010I have a question with youtube/android market/internet browser after searching for something. For example, if first I type in the word transformers and then click it, it will search youtube or if I am on the android market/internet search for transformers. Next if I went to search for transformers 2, I start typing in the word "transformers" and right away the above word appears, but if I click on it, it goes right to the original search. How can I do it where if I click on it the word transformers will appear but not run youtube video/android market/web browser so I can then type in the number 2.

Its pretty awesome, however I cannot get it to launch the YouTube player to play YouTube videos OR download them, any workaround for this? This made me think i was missing some sort of codec so i started converting mp4s on my computer and found that only converting to [H.264.MP4] works for my samsung.
So im wondering if theres some sort of codec i need to install on my phone like flash/divx/ k-lite codec pack to be able to watch youtube videos?

Mar 5, 2013So Adobe no longer supports android which means u have to use the app separate from ur browser...cnt figure out how to keep audio/video from YouTube app running while switching to browser...while in youtube when i hold the home button nd select the browser, it goes to browser but video becomes paused...i checkex youtube app settings but nothing...is it a different setting im missing?
what about radio apps...can u switch from one of those to a different app nd still have music playing?

Mar 8, 2010I have downloaded the new sense 2.1 rom that people are flashing onto the Nexus in an attempt to pull out the apk for the flash player.
I was able to find 2 files:
1. FlashPlayer.apk
2. FlashLitePlugin.apk
The first one(player) goes through the normal process, then says app not installed. The 2nd one(plugin) installs just fine but doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if it is even possible this route or if you have to do this adb push Ive been hearing so much about?

Oct 22, 2009Today at Sprint store I played the same YouTube video on the Hero and the Pre side by side. The Pre looked great, the Hero had a very low frame rate and poor resolution. I hope someone can tell me something was wrong with the Hero and it is not always like this.I am seriously considering buying a Hero and have been spending a lot of time at my local Sprint story getting to know it. Today I was trying out flash video on many sites and they all looked bad like I described above. I just assumed the videos had a poor source until I tried a YouTube video on the Pre. It is hard to believe all the reviews I have been seeing of the Hero wouldn't have hammered it for this if it were a common problem.

BTW, menu>more>watch in HQ only shows up if your watching videos in the you tube app, it doesn't show up in the htc flash player.
