Apr 2, 2010I have the Modaco latest ROM. Its been perfectly fine since I installed it over a month ago, but recently my memory card corrupted and now I cannot download any apps off the market.I had an ext2 partition, so I reformatted my memory stick the exact same way it was before it corrupted. Even so, whenever I try to download items from the market they just get stuck on "Starting Download".I literally cannot download ANY apps

Mar 11, 2010I'm the owner of a HTC Hero for three days and I'm already thinking the darn thing isn't worth a penny. I bought it together with a 16gb Sandisk sdhc class 2 card and it keeps damaging the filesystem every day. It starts with the native media player not working correctly (Sorry the player cannot play this audio file), although it could play it like 10 minutes ago, then going on to not even recognizing the sd card anymore (showing Total & Available Space as 00). Unmounting the sd card and then removing & inserting it again then brings up a message that my sd card is damaged and that I should format it, however clicking format doesn't do anything.
The best part about this is that neither of the product reviews I've read showed this issue, although there are so many frustrated android users that keep telling the same story of not-working sd cards. I wonder why neither google nor HTC offer a patch / workaround. It's just not possible that no one noticed this problem during the development process. Is there anyone who has the same issues or can offer some advice? If I can't get this fixed in some days then I'm returning the phone and switch to something that will really work.

May 28, 2010I'm needing to buy a memory card before my holidays. Looking for a big one, however the 32g looks a bit too expensive so it will probably be a 16g. Are there any specific types that help the hero run faster? I remember seeing a certain thread saying how a certain type of memory card doesn't save the cache (or something along them lines!). I know that it has to be a micro SD memory card. Anybody got some good info about where to get them cheapest? Or which cards you use?

Question is: do I have to copy and paste the old folders to the new card or will the phone automatically set up new folders? Apr 23, 2010So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.

This weekend I was visiting some friends I haven't seen in a long time, we had a few beers and then got a bright idea. My friend has a work phone with an 8GB MicroSD card that he doesn't use. So, we swapped memory cards. Now I'm 4 states away and just now realized that I should have copied the folders onto the new card. Anyone have a zip file with the "stock" folders and info for these phones? I tried searching but it seems I have a rather unique twist to a common issue.
