I've purchased new black casing for my hero, but not sure how to remove the old one? I've undone the 6 screws and removed the middle section. Now have the front (screen, buttons etc) with lots of chips etc stuck to the back.

Has anyone tried or have done a casing switch with their magic? What I mean is if you have a Black magic have you changed it white or any other color? Is it hard to do? I have a Black Magic and was considering changing it to white.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just go hero and I went to the Pop3 setting and started to insert my microsoft pop3 account setting in the fields as prompted. The password was not correct so it would not pull in my emails.I can't seem to find out how to go back into my pop3 settings since the HTC Hero email application will not let me view my previous settings to make changes.There must be a way, I am just not seeing it.Please help me with the correct procedure.It tells me to select my email account from the drop down screen in my created email account, so, I select the email address that it shows that I created.

The reason i want to change it is because my gmail app only opens email from that account, and I used a new gmail account to register my phone with that was specifically for my contacts, and now i cant check my other gmail accounts email. anyone know a good solution without having to format?

I had no default defined so that when I tapped a jpg file I got a popup menu asking which app I wanted to open it with. Someway or another I managed to check the box that says use this as the default and tapped the app before I could uncheck it. So now the built in picture viewer is set as the default and I would like to clear that so I get the popup box again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust setting up the display profiles on my phone....does anyone know how to change the screen time out for different scenes.....eg when I'm using my phone normally I want the display to timeout and lock etc, but when the phone is on charge at work or in the car I never want it to timeout.
Changing the timeout setting seems to apply for all profiles.
So, I upgraded last week to DamageControl v2.09.1 and had a few issues, but everything has worked itself out and its working fine now.
The only problem I'm having is that I can't change my home screen wallpaper. I can change the lockscreen and I can do everything else with the phone except this. Anyone have any ideas?

My custom tones show up in the list, I can check to chose the tone but when I receive a text message I still get the 'Ascend' tone, can't even change it to any of the other standard tones that came already on the phone.
