HTC Hero :: HTC Hero / T - Mobile G2 Touch / Video Format

Mar 31, 2010

I'm a pretty new T-mobile G2 Touch (HTC Hero) user. I got it 2 weeks ago. So today I shoot my first video with it. I used the default settings. Such as: Encoding type: MPEG4, and I shoot it with the sound on. When I finished I could reviewed the video on the Hero, along with the sound. But the problem showed up when I transfered the video on my PC. Firstly the file showed up like 3gp file, not like MPEG4, and when I tried to play it with VLC it showed me some problem and play back without sound. And the video quality was 3gp quality, although it was set to high resolution and MPEG4 format.

Android : Feature Request/query - Possible To Read Java Properties Format Files For I18n Strings

Sep 14, 2009

I have an application which we are writing to be both a MIDP application using LWUIT as well as an Android application.

We attempt to share as much common code as possible between the two platforms.

I'd also really like to be able to share the localization strings when possible.

Reading through the docs in:

http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/resources-i18n.html

It looks like Android uses an XML format to specify name-value pairs, e.g.:

{{{ <string name="go_online_message">You are currently offline. Go online? This will use the data network</string> }}}

I left it at the default and now I want to change it.

In the camcorder application, I have chosen to record the video's in MP4. However, when you then side load them to the PC or what-not they appear as 3GPP or something. Is 3GPP a version of MP4 or is the camcorder telling fibs? If it's not, how do I record in plain old MP4?

Quick question about the Desire's video recording specs.

What is the format of the video when you transfer it to a PC? 3gp or MP4?

Motorola Droid :: Video Recording Format

Aug 12, 2010

I have not taken a lot of video with my Droid (I have Flip for that), and what I do take, I just watch on the phone. But, I may eventually want to play this on my computer or on my TV using a streaming media device. My current device plays a LOT of formats, but I have not tried any of my Droid videos. What format does the Droid capture video in? Is it the 3gp I have heard about? If so, I think that is one format I can't play where I want it. I heard that my wife's Incredible actually records in mp4, but then converts to 3gp, but there is something you can install which prevents that conversion and keeps it in mp4. Is there something like that for the Droid?

Media :: 720p Video In Mp4 Format Works

Jun 9, 2010

Encoding a video to the following specs and loading it on the EVO plays with the included video player perfectly. No jumping and clear, in sync sound. 720p resolution so the HDMI out should work once the cables are available. h.264 at Level 3.1, 3 reference frames and baseline profile. 1280 x 720 AAC stereo audio at 44100Hz, 128kbps Bit rate does not seem to be all that important as long as the video file is less than 2GB.Muxed to an mp4 container in IMSA standard format and optimized for streaming.
