HTC Eris :: How Battery Life In Nonsensikal Rom?
Sep 29, 2010I have been having terrible battery life lately on tazz froyo 7 so I decided to find another Rom. I chose nonsensikal (8.2) because it was a froyo Rom and i like the black theme. Anyone who has had or currently has nonsensikal, how is the battery life?

Nov 26, 2010I just flashed Nonsensikal v13.7 last night and since I am not getting any text message notification sounds. If I happen to get a notification sound, it is the default notification sound I set for my emails, et cetera. I use Handcent and have from the beginning. I set, reset, and reset my Handcent notification sound to be "pixie dust" but like I said, I'm not getting any notification sounds for my texts. Is anyone else having this issue on Nonsensikal? I didn't have this issue with version 12.5. Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be helpful.

Jul 15, 2010This is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.

Im running KayosFroyo v29, and would like to try some of the more stable versions out there (I believe they are up to 34 now). However I hate that I loose all my texts flashing from one to another. Is there something that can do to back them up and load them into a new rom?

Apr 30, 2010I went to Verizon on my lunch break, and got assisted by the actual store supervisor, which was pretty cool. He was a blackberry guy, and didn't seem to know much about Android. Really nice though. He basically had me do basic diagnostics, but when i explained that it must be hardware in my phone not working since my facebook contacts where not syncing correctly. I also complained about dialer lag, and that i shouldn't have to reset my phone every month to keep it fast.
Now, it's clear that I was running the 2.1 leak. When he compared my settings to the ones on the store's Eris, he goes, "Are you running any other hack or anything on the phone?" I pleaded innocent and was like, "No...I just got the OTA from you guys. I don't know why they're different." He didn't once check the phones "About" section, and seemed to care more about fixing the problem. He had a "tech" look at it, but they couldn't figure anything out.
After 45 minutes or so, he says that if I can show him Facebook syncing on the stores Eris with -my- account, he'd swap the phone as defective for a referb. I did, and he did it, no questions asked. Now, back on 1.5...I also now have a pretty brand new phone. (No scratches or anything). I will say...in the time i had the phone with me at work till getting home now....1.5 is horrible. Oh. My. God. Thank GOD I flashed the leak when I did...the phone is horrible. So, project for tonight is Root. Wish me luck.
HTC Droid Eris :: Can't Get Contacts To Back Up
Sep 10, 2010Sorry about the new post but I have been searching all day and haven't found one that's what I need. I had to get a replacement for my eris due to trackball issues. I got my replacement today and can't seem to get my contacts onto the new phone. The one thing that I have been able to find out is that I should have saved all of my contacts as Google contacts. I tried using Lookout and was able to transfer my pictures, but only 5 contacts (the only google contacts I have). I also tried MyBackUp but it is asking me for a pin number it never gave me. I downloaded vCardIO and exported my contacts to the sd card, but now when I put the sd card into the new phone it says that there is NOTHING on it, none of my documents- nothing. Is there any way I can change all my contacts to Google contacts? I don't know what else to do, so any help would be appreciated.
