For the past couple of hours I have not been able to connect to the market. It keeps saying there is a connection error. I have tried on WiFi, 3G, and 4G, but still have troubles. It wont load a single app. Anyone else having troubles?

When I plug my phone into my computer via USB, nothing happens. I don't get a notification although the phone charges which means it is plugged in. But as I said no notification so I can transfer things between my computer and my phone. Any ideas anyone? I'm running 2.1 V2 and this just happened as of today. It was working fine yesterday.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is my first Android phone so I might just not know what I am doing. At work we have an open wi-fi network for patients and visitors to connect to. When they connect for the first time they are automatically re-directed to a sign on page where they must provide their e-mail address. After that they are free to use wireless internet services. My EVO will not re-direct to the page. When I tried it on a friends iPhone it worked just fine. My phone has not been rooted and i have tried both the default browser and two that I downloaded from the market. The phone is connecting to the WiFi and getting a strong signal.

I recently got an x10. I want to connect to this wireless network but it requires both username and password log in information. I can't seem to find a way to adjust my wireless settings so that it will allow me to enter the information. It only lets me enter password information. I know it requires both because I have connected to it on my computer. I know that there are other networks available, but there is reason that I want to use this one.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the remote for ituens app. The problem I have is, I cannot link my desire with my imac to use it as a remote. I have paired them via bluetooth but cannot connect them via wifi. I don't use a wireless router to connect to the internet because of security issues. Surely as the HTC is a wifi enable device and the imac is a wifi enabled device they should be able to talk to eachother without a third party router in between them.

When signing in to my Google account I get an error message that says something along the lines of "Cannot establish a reliable connection with server. There is a temporary error or your sin card is not provisioned for data services"

I have just bought a Desire HD, and it refuses to download from the Market. I select an app and it says 'Starting download and goes no further. Is it something I am doing, or is there a problem with the market? I have never managed to download anything so it could be something I am doing

One woman says it takes her several "days" to successfully do it (I presume that means multiple attempts spread out over time).Can this be on my end? I upgrade my database on each rev - basically I retreive the user data and stick it in the new database that ships with my app. But I think the complaint is about something different. Has anyone else received comments about anything similar? I am concerned people uninstall my app just because of this issue,
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Xperia X10 a few weeks ago with great expectations, but it lasted with a huge disappointment! Whatever I guess I have to wait for 2.1 update but I am not sure it will satisfy anybody. As I wrote in title there are some serious and annoying problems, I cant sign in my twitter account on the phone because of login and connection problem (however I didnt get any problems at signing in Facebook and Gmail accounts).
Second problem is "missing" Android Market application on the phone. Anyway I found the official .apk (vending.apk) from the net and loaded to my phone but it didnt work and caused freezing and error messages as "not responding / force to close" etc. Also I cant reach to Market site from Browser, no way!
The last and stupid problem is "reseting and deleting" Browser setting and bookmarks without any reason or action like hardreset or even turn on/off the phone! As an example: I set homepage as google.com and later on I checked ok! but for the second use after a couple of time, when I started the browser it opens with SE Wap Page as default and removed my homepage from settings. Also phone deletes the Bookmarks which I add.

Im starting to get some random lag, similarly like the Hero was.The only thing i can think of is all the downloaded app from market (most of it relating to OpenHome).If this is the case, isnt there a way to save stuff just to the SD?Lag occurrences: Loading "All Apps", dialing numbers or answer/decline calls, sometimes pressing the screen for an option (but i think that is partly because of the screen protector).

I sync Hero to HTC, follow instructions, get half way through to point where blue bar says it's erased 11% of contacts...and every single time I get error 171: USB connection error. After installing it, it seems like the SDK is integrated into Eclipse, but when I try to create a new project with a single blank activity in it, I get the following error:

This is using eclipse version 3.4.2 running on top of Mac OS 10.5.7 on a 32 bit processor.
Is this a misconfiguration on my part? Have I missed a part of the installation?
I can't sign into google. I have a google account set up using a @yahoo.com email but when I enter it into the phone, it says my @yahoo.com account doesn't use gmail.com. Then when I just try to put my user name in with the @yahoo.com it still won't work. Do i have to have an @gmail.com account in order to sign in, or am I doing something wrong?

I am using eclipse, and when i click run, the new emulator runs with my 2.0 avd. but when eclipse tries to install it i get this in the console. View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had the E Strong File Explorer for some time but never really used it. So today I wanted to create a special folder for some pictures i downloaded off the web. All the ones I downloaded were put under sdcard/downloads. I created a folder and named it "Cars" and then went to the download folder, copied the pictures, went to the Cars folder and pasted them there. I then think I made a mistake and went to the original pictures in the download folder and deleted them. Now when I open my photo gallery and go to the download folder, i see frames for the pics but no picture. And when I try and open them I just get a black screen. When I go back in the file explorer, I'm able to go to the "cars" folder, click on a picture, choose image from the drop down menu, and then I can view it. So what did I do wrong and is it fixable?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter a lot of thought, I finally decided I would root my Moment even the whole bricking issue had me really worried. I decided to try it anyway. I got it all done last night well, I think I did. I never actually went into anything that verified that I had rooted it just assumed it was rooted after the instructions I was reading said it was. Well within these instructions was a link to the SDX website where I could download a custom update zip, and had a link to create my own update zip, so I chose to create my own. I'm not sure if I made some wrong choices while creating the zip or what, but now I am having some major trouble.
After creating my zip, I placed it on my SD card. Then, I shut the phone down, and started it up in recovery mode (maybe that's what it's called.... volume down, talk, and end buttons). I went to apply from SD, or something like that, and then went to the custom zip I had just downloaded. The phone did it's thing, said it was installed and then said I need to reboot. I did.
I've not been able to get into my phone since. It gets to the Samsung splash screen, finishes it's animation, and then nothing. It's just black. It won't do anything at all until I take the battery out and put it back in. Then, I am able to get to any of the startup screens or whatever they're called, but no matter what, always goes black after Samsung Splash.It could be that the phone is actually starting, but just not showing me a screen....not sure about that.Well, I read a little bit, and decided I would try to fix it by installing a different update zip, so I put my sd card into my laptop and removed the custom zip. Then, I put the SD card back into my phone and ran the joeykrim zip again. It's still doing the same thing.Has anyone got any ideas for me here?? I am so sick that I decided to do this. I sure hope it's worth it in the end.
I've searched for hours for this, so I apologize if it's answered elsewhere, I simply can not find a solution that works.when I start up Unrevoked for the Incredible, it says to plug my phone in. I do that, making sure it says debug mode is enabled in the drop-down pane. But the unrevoked screen doesn't change I've tried:
- mounting as disk drive
- "charge only"
- one Windows XP PC and one Windows 7 PC
- removed PdaNet and tried those options again
Nothing gets me past that screen. I tried looking for an HTC Sync app to uninstall, or setting to disable (since it says "make sure it is NOT installed"), but I wasn't able to find anything.
I have rooted with unrevoked 3 done a nandroid backup, done the unrevoked forever and sucessfully upgraded my radio to the 2.15. I downloaded sky2.5.2 and put it in the root of my sd card. when I boot into recovery and and try to install the zip from sd card it keeps saying "aborted". Is there something that I need to do before installing Skyraider? Everything is working fine on my phone, the call quality is amazing now, I just can't get up to 2.2!

I ended up trying to sync the album from Windows Media Player but it started syncing EVERYTHING so I stopped it. Then when I plugged it into the pc again it said I'd only got 1gb of memory on the card when I started it was 3.6gb. I've officially only put 6 albums on about 400mb in total yet spent 2.6gb. I'm assuming the tracks I accidentally synced are the cause yet when I open up the drive there's no sign of them. Anyone any ideas how or where I can find them & remove them?

Attempt to include a core VM class in something other than a core library.
I have never put anything to do with 'SocketFactory' in any of my code. I searched all of my code and can't find any code that I did that contains the SocketFactory.class.
I deleted my xml's and classes that I was working on that had to do with the GridView and reverted back to the code I had before, when it was running - but now I continue to get the above error. I even try to use 'Clean' but the error continues. Does anyone know what I should do about this error?
Anyone have trouble with Visual Voicemail being delayed a few hours? I'm using the stock application, though I have Google Voice installed (not set-up, however).
(I know I could just use GV, but I would rather stick with the stock app for the time being.)
I'm new to android. I'm using webview in scrollview to display my local html page (html has text only). I created two buttons for zoomin and zoomout using behind function zoomIn() & zoomOut() respectively. These functions work fine. The problenm is, when I zoom in, some of the text goes out from both top and bottom and it doesn't appear when I scroll.
