My HTC Sense is force closing every 5 minutes or so. I have battery pulled, uninstalled software, etc. I am about to do a factory reset but is there any software that is known to cause this problem (so I can avoid it on the second go around)?
Note: It appears to happen when i go to 'change the scene' to something else. When the screen reloads it just goes into an endless cycle of 'HTC Sense Force Close'.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am running the OTA version of Froyo on my non-rooted Desire and I am finding that the HTC Sense UI seems to force close about once a week. The main culprit seems to be the HTC News widget as it most often seems to occur whilst I am reading my news each morning.Anyone else experienced this or know the solution?

View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure what I after I rooted my phone but HTC Sense keeps either reloading itself everytime almost everytime i hit the home button from an App (a popup box will come up saying reloading, and my home screen is blank, then stuff appears slowly)OR In the middle of whatever app, i'll get an "HTC sense com.application bla bla force close wait ".Anyone know what I could of done to screw this up?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI did the offical Froyo update on my phone this afternoon. It was stock with the latest OTA update 1.47. Followed the directions for the update and it went by smoothly until after I tried setting up my phone (Google account). I did a hard reset and everything was fine until a few minutes ago. I was able to sign into my Google, Facebook and Aim accounts. It is now back to an endless loop of trying to load Sense and force closing. Of course I can do another hard rest but is it too early to assume the force close loop problem will return? My phone is not functioning and I cannot even go into the setting to turn of Sense.

All appeared to go well and successful, past the point where I heard other people's got stuck.But when I slide down the slider and put in my password, it gets stuck in a force close loop for com.htc.launcher. Seems to not be able to open sense and keeps looping round.I saw a post from someone saying they had that problem, but then they just hit the search button and got the quicksearch, went to settings, then cleared the data for the appropriate application and then it worked fine.But when I hit the search button, nothing happens. If I hold it down, I get the google voice search, but I can't seem to get to settings from there.Does anyone know another method to get into settings as I'm hopeful this will fix my problem as suggested by some others. I'd much rather that than take it back to O2.

It isn't easy to summarize the problem in the title.So in 1.5 or 2.1 v1 or v2, it was very rare for the Sense UI Home app to have to re-launch.By this I mean when you click the home or back button to return to your Home screen, instead of seeing the home screen you see the black screen with HTC on it, then you wait while it loads the Home application.This very rarley happened before v1.3. Now it seems to happen at least once or twice a day.I don't have more apps installed than I did before, I shouldn't be any more out of memery than I was before.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHTC Sense keeps force closing on my EVO. I have turned the phone off and back on and the same happens. If I switch to a HTC scene, as opposed to a Custom scene, it works fine for awhile. I had it working almost a whole day, but HTC sense starting force closing again, once it starts, it keeps doing it, until you change HTC scenes again. If you change to a custom scene, the force close continues. I disabled HTC sense. Now I can't turn HTC sense back on, but I don't really want to if I am going to keep having the same issue.
For now I need to know if anyone else is having HTC Sense force close on them, and if there is a fix, or if it is known what is causing it. I will worry about how to turn it back after I find out why it's doing it and can fix it. I did a search for HTC Sense force closes and could not find anything, so I started this thread.
Anyone experiencing force close with Qik app? It was working ok now it won't open and I get a force close dialog.

They gave me a new one and haven't had the problem.until yesterday. At least twice a day now, since yesterday, i get a message saying: The application Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again...so i hit Force Close and then it just stays on a blank black screen so i hit the home button and hit messaging again and it pops up again. I take the battery out and that works for a few hours but then it just happens again...i don't wanna take this one back again and get a new one.I mean i have anti-virus (i dunno if it's good though lol) so I don't think it could be an app...i use the standard Messaging app that came with the phone, not Handcent or something else.will someone.I searched but they all seemed to be for different phones, not the droid.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that whenever I introduce some new awful bug to my app and it crashes, Android just keeps starting it up over and over again. I eventually have to hit the dial button on the phone just to make my app lose focus. I searched this group's posts and the developer documents.I can't find anything about this. Is this usual behavior? If so, is there some way to disable it? Maybe it's just my coming from a desktop background, but I kind of think that when something is closed, it should stay closed, especially if the reason it was closed was that it crashed. And of course, I hope my final app never force closes, but with all the different hardware you never know.

For example, I use my Eris as my MP3 player and would like to listen to it while I go to sleep, however I don't wanna let it play all night while I'm sleeping maybe just an hour or so.*Edit* Nevermind I found an app that does the job. Its called Music Sleep. It lets you set a timer that will close your music app in case anyone else was interested. It only costs 99 cents

Any ideas why this may be happening or how to stop it? I don't know if this is a root issue or not but i figured some of the most "informed" people hang out here. View 4 Replies View Relatedsince the latest stable, and now the 133 full, it seems like 5 or 6 times a day im getting LPP force closes. Anyone else getting this or know of a way to fix this? Could there be something Im doing to cause this? Just to clarify, it happens when trying to hit an icon, as well as when trying to close an app with the back button. In the past, I have hit the home button to exit out, but since made an attempt to change my habits, as it seems hitting home keeps the app running.

Usually it's .com or .HTC processes.
Is there any way to fix the Friend Stream force close issue without a factory reset? I feel like that would be a huge hassle just to get this app to work again.
Also, whenever I receive a message in my inbox on Facebook the page just doesn't load when I try to access it from the Facebook application. I am always forced to go to the Facebook mobile site to check my inbox and I can't do it through the app.
