HTC EVO 4G :: Restoring Weather Widget?
Jun 8, 2010I inadvertently trashed the stock HTC weather widget, the 1/2 screen widget on the home page by default. Does anyone know how or where to restore that from?

Samsung Captivate : Weather Widget - Displays The Current Weather Based On Location
Jul 30, 2010Can anyone recommend a weather widget that displays the current weather based on location? Preferably cell tower info instead of gps and one that only used data every set interval based on my settings so that it doesn't use data constantly.

May 17, 2010So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?

Sep 10, 2010I tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location

Sep 17, 2010So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

Jul 19, 2010How I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

Apr 1, 2010On my news and weather app the weather does not show up therefore does not show up in the multimedia dock at night. I have tried zip code and geolocation. It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. The news portion is working fine.

Aug 20, 2010My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
Android :: Widget Locker / Weather & Toggle Widget And Sense Animations
Aug 27, 2010One of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

Jun 29, 2010I have my GPS off but the weather widget is giving me close enough weather via the network. I'd like to keep track of the weather in another location. When I click on the "+" sign in the weather widget and then type in the location the city is not found. I've tried typing it in exactly how it appears when I'm there w/o luck. Jul 9, 2010The Weather program that came with EVO gives me the weather where I am which is pretty much pointless as I can just look out the window. It knows where I am and shows the city and state. But if I try to add this city ans state as a location it tells me it can't find that city and state. What I want to do is to add my office, home and summer home locations so I can toggle between them (or let the phone cycle between them) so when I am at one, I will know the weather at the other two but even though it knows these locations while I am there, it doesn't allow me to add them. I think there are zillions of weather apps in the Market. Any insights on which will do what I want?

Jul 8, 2010Does anyone know why i cant change the setting on the weather widget? For some reason when i go to settings the first two options are blacked out and i can only change the third option which is for Fahrenheit or Celcius. The first two options are update automatically and update schedule.

Jun 26, 2010I've been looking for a simple yet powerful weather widget for quite sometime. (I don't need goofy weather animations.) The N1 news/weather widget is exactly what I was looking for, and it runs great on the Evo. The included app is also very nice, I like seeing a graph of temp change over time.

HTC EVO 4G :: Stock Weather Widget Not Updating
Jul 17, 2010After the phone has been in hibernation mode for a while, when I bring it back up, my weather, and sometimes location is not updated. This just started happening a few days ago, and the only thing I can think of is that an app I installed in the last few days may be conflicting with it. I have read some posts from people with similar problems that can't get it to work at all. Mine will display the correct weather conditions and location if I hit the refresh button. I have had the phone almost a month, and up until a few days ago, it did everything automatically. I have not removed any components or applications.
