View 3 RepliesAnyone else have this issue or know a fix? Contact pictures show in contact details and in the contacts app, but not in the dial or when I get a call. Contact management is the only thing I don't like about my X.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure I'm overlooking something simple. At some point I had an option to save new contacts as a phone contact or a gmail contact. But I've lost that option. Now whenever I enter a new number in my phone I have to manually enter it into my gmail account as well. (Lets not even get into the pain in the butt Google Apps account which will NOT sync my contacts from my personal domain) What am I missing here? I've already lost one gals number that I really wanted to call when I did a factory reset and forgot to manually put it in gmail.

I just purchased my new HTC desire and i have a problem : 1) Adding a new contact number to either phone or Google account. Name/surname are saved but the phone number doesn't get saved; so when editing the contact, no phone number appears. Then, when gonig under Phone and typing the letters of the name just added, i can find it in the drop list of "guessed names" with the number right under the name. I want to be able to view my contact and see the phone number from the application People; and that's impossible now because of this problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIsn't there a way once you get an address from Sprint Nav that there was an option to add the address into the HTC contact list? I know I have done it before but it is escaping me right now.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a question that I'm not sure if it's even possible since they are two completely different ROMS. I have been running BH-man's Galaxy 1.6 Rom R8 and have been loving it but the two things that have not been working is starting to become a factor and Im really needing Vibrate and the default BH2 camera features. So with that being said, I went ahead and made the switch to the Behold 2 1.6 with No Twiz, and is very fast and nice, minus a few features from the Galaxy rom. Now, I have been wondering if its even possible to have the Dialer & Contact interface from BH Mans Galaxy 1.6 added to this default ROM without it messing anything up. If that is possible, would a pullpush the two files over to the 1.6 no Twiz Rom work? I know that at one point BH_Man has done this in the past but it was based off 1.5 I believe.

This is Matt from Droidmatic a small startup of a few guys that want to make great Android apps. We recently released our first app, Contacts Blast, which can act as a full feature replacement for the built in contacts manager / dialer. We even integrate with the "dial" button from the home screen and can easily be turned into the default app.I wanted to share our feature list with everyone as well as some screenshots. Nearly every change since the 1.0 release (we are at version 1.4 right now) has been inspired by the feedback we are receiving from our users.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm New to Android, but have had HTC Windows phones since the PPC-6700 about 6 years ago. My question is this (I have searched everywhere and No answer), When you sync your phone, does it also Save the Ringers for the Individual Contacts? I remember with all my Windows phones before, when I would Hard Reset etc. it would automatically bring back saved Pictures and Ringers on each individual contact. If not, is there a way of doing it? Does the Evo back itself up as a say an iPod Touch does. (I like that just to be Safe in case of Hard Resets).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have loads of photos on Flickr and Facebook and I want to set some of the photos to my contact list. When I open the facebook app, there is no way to see the photos. So I went to Albums and signed into my facebook page. I can see the photos and email them, but I cannot save them to my phone. Is the only way of doing this is going to the browser and long-clicking it to save? Is there an app which will copy them in bulk to my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I press and hold the number, it gives me an option to save it as a new contact. But I want to save it under an existing contact.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if the X10 can do the same as my last android Hero, which basically link the facebook info contact to my related phone contact, including the picture. I guess this wont need any hardware, but software. Has this improvement being asked or is it planned for future updates?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen adding new contacts to the droid x, it added it as both a goggle contact and phone contact. (i only have one goggle account setup). I went into contacts -> menu -> more -> settings. I am UNABLE to check/unchecked the "Phone Contacts" (it is always checked). The goggle one i am able to check/unchecked. WHY and HOW can i toggle the phone contact? Also, backup assistant only takes PHONE contacts and not GOOGLE contacts...while g mail contact sync only takes goggle contacts and NOT PHONE contacts. How can one change phone contact to goggle contact? (i have seen posts all over but no answers...and just replies saying "i have the same problem") I am trying NOT to have two (2) different types of contacts. PHONE and GOOGLE. I just want goggle contacts ( or phone contacts. so i can at least use verizon's backup assistant.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have done a search for this and I have not found answer. I have inadvertently created some of my contacts as phone contacts instead of google contacts. The main negative of this is that I can not sync these contacts. Does anyone know of way to change the contact type? My phone is rooted if that makes a difference. In another thread relating to this someone mentioned an app that fixes this but I could not find it. Does anyone know of the app?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe want to disable the default dialer application and install our own dialer application on phone. We want to know how we can disable the default dialer so that it doesn't listen for missed calls, incoming calls and also it doesn't gets launched by other application for making calls instead our application gets launched. Only our dialer application should be listening on it. We want to use same format as existing content URIs supported by default dialer in our own dialer application. Is this possible? If yes then how we can achieve it? We don't want to delete the call log application code or we don't want to remove it from build. We want to have default dialer in device. Our dialer application will be installed later may be by downloading from Internet by end user.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else experiencing lag when using the phone dialer or when answering a phone call? When I go through my contacts and pick someone I want to call, I touch their name, and it takes a good 5-7 secs before it starts calling that person.Same thing when I receive a call. When my phone rings and I have an incoming call, when I swipe down, it'll take another 5-7 seconds after the swipe (since I guess this action lets you answer the call directly) before I am connected to that person.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Desire delivered yesterday, but there is a slight problem I have noticed with it. Even after turning all possible vibration options off (i.e. haptic feedback and 'vibrate when you type' in text input), the vibratory mode on the phone dialer still doesn't go away. When I press the keys on the phone dialer keypad, it still vibrates. I have no idea whether it is a HTC feature or a problem with my handset.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to lower or turn off the phone dialer volume independently of the ringer volume?(the beeps that you get as you dial a phone number)
View 6 Replies View RelatedEverytime i open up the dialer on my x it works fine in the sense of letting me dial a number. However, if i switch to the favorites or contacts tabs at the top my phone will exit out of the dialer back to the home screen. I hope this is something that can be fixed over an update. Btw if i go directly to contacts from the home scrren it works fine.
View 20 Replies View RelatedIf I want to call "Work," which I have 3 #s programmed for, and I press 9675, the # that pops up is the the first # that shows up for in the contact details, but it is not the one that I have programmed as the default. Are we stuck with this, there a way to change it and I'm overlooking it?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is hard to explain, and I've searched (probably badly) and can't find the answer. If I hit the "phone" button on my cdma hero, it pulls up a list of people that have called or been called recently. Let's say one of those is in my contact list (my wife, for example), and she has multiple numbers (work, cell, etc.).I know i can click the little card on the left side, but it would be great to be able to swipe side to side on her to switch numbers, but that doesn't seem to work. You would think it would b/c there are little arrows beside the number for people that I have multiple numbers on.Is there any way to do this?
