HTC EVO 4G :: Will Formatting Sdcard Via Phone Solve Sdcard Mount Read Only Errors
Aug 16, 2010I replaced my original sdcard with a sandisk 16gb card. Everything went well until I started getting these blasted read on errors. Earlymon suggested a fix from another board but I don't have a stand alone card reader so I couldn't do it that way.
I was wondering if I just backed up all my stuff from my sdcard to my iMac and then just reformatted my sdcard via the phone, would that solve my problems?
Unable To Initiate Drag After 30 Times Drag Event
Apr 5, 2012I am able to create and drag and drop activity successfully but the only problem I faced is if I drag the view more than about 30 times, the drag event will stop to initiate and I am unable to drag anything. What is the causes?I am using onTouch() to drag the view.

Jun 11, 2010I have seen posts on using handbreak to convert to the correct file size and such but i was trying to just drag and drop avi files to the evo but they dont seem to be showing up once i disconnect from the pc. Is there a way to just drag and drop movies onto the evo or do i have to convert each one i want to put on the phone?
I am converting a avi right now through handbreak but it is taking forever! With my moment i could drag and drop i figured with this phone i could do the same but i guess not
Before i have to take the train to work i like to just throw a movie on the phone and watch it but it doesnt seem like ill be able to do this with the evo cause ill have to convert them all and that will take too long....

Apr 21, 2010I was cruising an Incredible manual online and I saw this screen about connecting the Inc to a PC. I'm new to Android but I did have an Eris for a few days to try out. On that phone I would hook it to my laptop, open the notifications bar, and choose "Mount" to be able to drag files back and forth.
In this picture, there is no "Mount" choice. How do you drag files back & forth?
Also, what is USB debugging? Do I need to select that in order to drag files back and forth?

This all works fine but my problem is once the file is complete and I pull up the music app it's not there. Oct 12, 2010I've had my X10i for a month now and have added several apps from the Marketplace. I am Orange in the UK and have also had the new shared settings for using the phone on the T-Mobile Network. Earlier I received some text messages and a missed call but was unable to drag the status bar down to check who they were from. I switched off phone and re-started but have found that the "Activating Phone" icon kicks in before I can complete my Sim lock number and press ok. The phone just wants to stay in the "Activating Phone" mode but doesn't start up properly. If I enter the pin correctly and press ok Very quickly I can start the phone ok.

However for some reason when I try to do it now, I get an error message saying "Cannot copy item: This device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." even though it shows up on my explorer. It was working fine like a day ago. I have rebooted my computer and everything, but it just won't work.

Oct 11, 2010I think this is a Handcent issue because I'm not really seeing it in the default app. For some reason I get multiple numbers for a contact when sending a SMS- the same number! I have one contact that when I select to send an SMS to, I get 7 options to choose to send to, and guess what, all 7 are the same phone number. And its not a format issue, it still duplicates if the number has brackets over the area code or just dashes. Not sure what to do and when I go into the individual contact (using People) the number is only listed once.

Jan 7, 2010I've got duplicate ringtones in the phone and notifications menu settings. These ringtones were acquired from marketplace apps and saved. For instance, I have two 'Hello sir C3PO', three 'Incoming transmission', two 'Resistance is futile', and five 'You belong with me'. That's what I get for letting the kids play.
Anyway, I have removed the apps, but, I cannot find the files to remove the duplicates from the menu list. I've checked the /system/media/audio files and checked the SD card and cannot find them.

Feb 26, 2010I've recently got a a Tattoo and it is mostly fine (apart from the ridiculously hard to remove battery cover!). But the thing that is driving me nuts is how unstable HTC Sync is. I have uninstalled, re-installed on the PC and phone and had to delete all contacts on the phone once to "cleanse" and still every time I go to sync my calendar and contacts something goes wrong. Duplicates contacts and calendar entries in the phone and and on my PC! My work phone is windows and active sync is a dream compared to this!
