I am not receiving any voicemail indication in the notification bar or on the voicemail icon. Can someone tell me what the settings should be, I have already cld Sprint tech support and they could not help.

I have had the Hero for three weeks or so. After updating the visual voicemail after the initial purchase. Everything was fine until I received a text a week ago informing me that X sent me a voice SMS message and I had to call 408.970.0000 to listen. There was no notification on the visual voicemail native app that anyone had called me. Upon calling this number, I had four voicemails from the preceding few days that I never got. As of today, 11/15, according to the native voicemail app, I haven't received a VM since 11/4. In actuality, I've received many.
After calling sprint and explaining this to them and having "tech" support tell me to "disable WiFi to get my voicemails (!?)", I went to the sprint store. Several call to their support and their own tinkering resolved nothing but an overnight ship of a new Hero due tomorrow. Now, I do have handcent installed after having awake/up time issues (see other posts) with the native message app. Could this be somehow related?
In my notification bar at the top of my screen it says i have 1 voicemail. This notification also pops up when i turn my phone back on from being locked. However, when I check my voicemail, I do not have a new message or any saved messages either. Whats going on and how do I get rid of it?

Today I have a new voicemail and I go to listen to it in Google Voice and the notification still remains. Oddly, the number showing in the notification is the number of my Google Voice account and not the number of the caller. How do I clear this alert?

Not until I check my phone is when I notice this since I gotten the text 2 hours prior. Its happened a couple of times already and recently just happened. I'm wondering if any of my apps such as launcher pro or others are causing this. I have my profile sounds to normal so I'm sure it should give me a ring.

I don't get many text at night, so those that I do I would like to see. An alarm isn't necessarily what I need, but I need something to notify me more that once. NONE of which I was notified or had in my visual voicemail. When all is said and done, I haven't received a visual voicemail or a notification of a voicemail since June 30! View 3 Replies View RelatedI have AT&T with the Samsung Captivate.I came from an original iPhone The iPhone was having lots of issues such as getting a new voice mail notification but no missed call, or I would get a missed call and they said they left a voice mail, but I would get no voice mail notification.Texts were hit or miss and my wifi didn't work...and I guess that isn't really relevant to this conversation.Anyway, since AT&T finally put a decent android phone on the market, I got the captivate on Monday. Right out of the box it said I had 1 new voice mail. I check my voice mail and it says I have no voice mails. 2 days later it still says I have a voice mail, but when I check i don't. This is very frustrating. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this problem? One thing I was thinking is that on the iPhone system I have a voice mail that I never checked and the captivate is reporting on that, but I'm not sure if that's really how it works.

All was well.yesterday, I had a Voice mail notifier appear and it was the symbol that looks like a cassette tape sort of. This ca be accessed through the basic SMS messages icon.It wants me to dial my # and listen to a message. There is no message, and I do not know how to clear the notification.Also, I do not know where this VM came from and I want to get rid of it so it does not happen again. removing the Messaging tab and reinstalling it, nothing changed.

Is there a way I can know when I have new voicemail? on my iphone I had a dedicated voicemail button and it would have a red dot on it if I had new voicemail, I'm wondering if I could get something like this on the hero? The way it is now is I have to call the voicemail contact, and check for voicemail that way.

I can't understand why this isn't base functionality in Android. Even my plain old basic cell phone from 10 years ago did this.
Out of nowhere, I got a voicemail notification in my notification bar.(Cassette looking thing) I don't remember ever seeing it because I've had Google Voice for so long.
I've tried Powering on/off, battery out, uninstalling GV, hour on phone with VZ tech support. The notification bar doesn't give me a clear option.
If I call*86, it says I have no voice mails.
This notification is very annoying and I don't want to do a factory reset..

I have no problem receiving email notification with my primary gmail account (personal), however I am not receiving notification of new emails on my secondary account (business). I actually have to go into my GMail app, switch over to second account and refresh. This asw you can imagine, is not ideally how I want to do business.

But for some reason when I get a voicemail it plays a sound that I selected as notification sound in Sound & Display setting. The same sound that is used for email notification.

Tap ehere to call Voicemail. Sat, July 24, 2010." I tap it, it calls my voicemail, but it says I have no voicemail. The notification doesn't go away. View 2 Replies View RelatedI received my new Droid recently (yes, for Christmas), everything was working fine - even while using the Open Home feature.
However, some time this past week - or longer - the voice mail notification has stopped working. No blinky light, no icon, nothing. I have tested using the regular Home and the Open Home - same results. Just a missed call notification. Further troubleshooting steps I have taken was just powering off the phone and powering back on. I have also removed the battery for a couple of minutes and replaced, still the same. I have also cleared out all voicemails and left myself a voicemail, still same thing. Only the missed call notification.

I could just do a complete wipe and reload to see if that resolves my issue - but my question is, the applications I have paid for, will I have to pay for them again? Or does it keep track of what you purchase?
I just had a question about Voicemail messages I get, whenever I get a notification for a voicemail that came in it shows up in a bunch of weird characters just has a bunch of weird numbers and what not, does anyone have any clue what these text message mean? I even get them when i delete messages from my voicemail box which I'm starting to get really confused over.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn iPhones the notification is center of the screen in a big graphic. On my LG2 all I get is some tiny icon in the notification bar. Also on teh iPhone the lock screen wakes up to show the voicemail prompt/graphic. On the LG2 teh screen is still dark. So unless I turn on my lock screen, I never know I have a v-mail.
