Why did I lose the audio when I transferred videos from the DCIM file to my PC? Am I doing something wrong?
I have some videos that my daughter sent to me of my grand daughter. I have transferred the videos to my droid, but they have no sound to them.

These transferred videos are playing fine on device. However, when I check the video properties, it is has "Bitrate" as 0 KBPS. Whereas for the same video, the bitrate is displayed properly on PC.

But, there's one issue though: Since I'm using a motorcycle as my main vehicle, I'd like to mount the phone above the gauges and use my H350 For voice navigation when using GPS/phone calls/music.
(GPS navigation is the main reason for doing this). I've managed to pair the headset with my phone, under settings. I see my H350 with the following status: "Connected to phone audio". But still, except making phone calls, I can't hear music/any other audio with my bluetooth headset, it comes out of the phone's speaker instead. Is there any workaround/hidden setting I didn't see? I'm using "waze" for GPS btw.
I've noticed since I have updated to firmware 1.5 on my HTC Magic that I've been losing all types of audio intermittently.Example: I would be watching video on my Magic then the audio would suddenly cut out. This includes all types of notifications, alarms or ringtones. This is very disturbing cause it makes my phone very unreliable.I miss calls and messages and one time or another I overslept cause the alarm went off but there was no audio.I know its not a hardware issue cause once I reboot everything is normal again. I don't like rebooting all the time to fix this problem and worse you dont realize that you lost audio notifications until you do check your phone to discover you did.I've read on google forums of several other accounts of this but so far no solid solution.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've read many topics from many android forums about this issue, but I have yet to see any posted solutions. If anyone know what program to convert videos, what settings to use, what resolution, what frequencies, what bitrates that will result in sync'd playback all the way through a movie, let me know.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there an Android equivalent to the iOS Core Audio / Audio File Stream Services? I need to be able to read audio bytes from a network and feed them to the audio system under my control, so I can do my own timeouts / reconnects / range requests / etc. without interrupting the audio playback (since the system audio thread would be playing audio already enqueued). It seems that MediaPlayer doesn't give me this level of control. Is there a lower-level framework that does, either in the SDK or NDK?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want combine two audio files. (A audio file + B audio file = AB audio file)So, my search result is:
1. useing an AudioTrack.
2. decode PCM from audio file.
3. combine PCM.
This is currect? It there another way?
We understand aapt has support only for small and numbers. Any reason for not supporting capital letters.. in future could we expect support for the same.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't bother to take videos with the Evo because of the embarrassing audio. It sounds so horrible I can't stand to listen! Anyway, I was looking at a developer's page that said you're free to use any codec supported by Android. However, the chart shows AMR narrow band as the only thing that will encode audio. It only works from 200-3400hz @8k bitrate. No wonder it sounds so bad.Do you folks know who to contact about using another encoder for video, not the same crappy one it uses for voicemails (which sound equally horrible).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use a little application on my computer called iPlayer Downloader. Basically it lets me download BBC iPlayer programmes as either mp3 or mp4 files. However when I copy one of the mp4 files to my Desire it plays but without audio. I've tried other mp4 files - one downloaded direct from YouTube and another via ZamZar and they work (as do the mp3's it produces of radio shows).I assume it's something to do with the audio format, but on the above the only difference on the non-working one is the Stereo format

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my first android phone. Everything works tip top, however there's zero audio for youtube videos and also for that other program. I forget the name, GoTv is something. Anyway, no audio with either. What's going on? I've looked through settings and even through my little instruction book and there's nothing on having to turn on the sound.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI really want to know why I can not hear any sound whatsoever simply because the video uses 5.1ch aac instead of 2ch aac. The video part of mp4 plays perfectly, encoded to h.264. I would really like to know if there is any media player able to play these videos correctly without having to resort to any kind of re-encoding (a waste of time when the original encodes should play fine) or having to use special 5.1ch headphones (bulky and not practical to keep on hand all the time). Also, does anyone know if this might be corrected with Froyo 2.2? And last, all my videos that have 2ch audio play as they should, sound and all. Same codec settings were used.

I recently took my Epic to a concert and recorded some videos. The picture quality of the videos was OK but the audio was amazingly distorted. There was a lot of bass at the concert which greatly I assume distorted the entire videos sound. I am greatly disappointed as I cannot listen to the songs cuz the sound so bad! Is that normal?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know if it is possible to improve to improve audio recorded during a video??
I mean I can record video at 720p 25 fps, but the DAMN audio gets recorded at 12 kbps!!
It's just tinny and annoying sound cuts up all the time.
So it is it possible to increase the bitrate of audio via modifying some system file or changing some parameters in phones hidden settings or something like that?? my phone is a Chinese Zopo PILOT ZP100. .
btw, When I use Sound / voice recorder, it records in 3gppp at high setting with 127 kbps AAC audio.
The audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?
