HTC EVO 4G :: Sprint Store To Downgrade 2.2 To 2.1 For Free?
Aug 25, 2010figured i would post this up since i havent seen it here.. wonder if it is true..Visit Your Nearest Sprint Store To Downgrade HTC EVO 4G From Froyo To Eclair.There is some interesting discussion going on XDA Forums that caught our attention. According to XDA member, EyesLikeOlives, he/she recently had a discussion with some Sprint rep who declared HTC EVO 4G is downgrade able from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 2.1 Eclair.Spoke with a customer service representative from Sprint while moving my replacement HTC EVO 4G from one phone line to the other and asked if he knew of a way to "down-grade" from Froyo to Eclair. His response was this:"I checked the information regarding the degradation of HTC Evo software, you can visit our Sprint store to change the software of your HTC EVO to 2.1 . We will change this for you without any cost."We really don't know if the above mentioned discussion/proposition holds true for rooted HTC EVO 4G owners running Android 2.2 Froyo. Some of the members at the Forum are apprehensive of the situation and claim it as You heard what you wanted to hear and this will never happen actually.

Dec 5, 2009I found this dock that is almost what I'm looking for, but I don't like FM transmitters. I prefer just to use a cable for the sound since it's clearer and I don't have to keep fiddling with stations when I get feedback. All the other docks that I've found are window mounted suction cup deals. Does anyone know of a dock that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but doesn't have the FM transmitter?

Feb 8, 2010I am trying to download a ringtone onto my phone (which apparently gets downloaded to my sd card under download) but its saying I have no available space. Its a 2 gig mem card and i have 1.7 gigs left on it thats completely free. And my phone has 99mb of internal memory free. So a few hundred kb ringtone should not be saying this.

Nov 19, 2009I have a Blaupunkt Melbourn car stereo with the Blaupunkt USB/Bluetooth Interface installed in my car and it used to work just fine with my Sprint Mogul and Touch Pro, but I can't seem to make it work with my Hero. When I pair the two, the radio only recognizes the Hero as an audio source and not as a phone. In other words, I assume I can stream music from the phone to the radio but I can't answer the phone with it. I should add that the connection icon shows up as audio headphones instead of a phone handset in the Bluetooth Devices screen.And this is just the opposite of what I need. I could care less whether I can stream music, but I need to be able to use the car radio as a hands-free device and as I wrote in the last paragraph, the radio worked perfectly in that capacity with my last two phones.So does anyone have any idea whether this is a phone problem or a stereo problem? Does anyone have any idea if there's a work-around? For that matter, does anyone have any helpful information at all?

Oct 29, 2010I rooted my sprint HTC hero and installed CM6 on it the other day, and everything is working great... except voicemail. I was using the Sprint VVM app, and that worked, but I got that annoying SMS message with each new voicemail, so I decided to switch to Google Voice (for voicemail only). It seems to work, except when my friends (who also have Sprint) call, and I don't answer the call, they either get a fast busy signal or they hear a voice say something like "Call cannot be completed. Goodbye" and then it hangs up.
Calling from land-lines and other cells seems to work ok? I just enabled Google Voice today, so do I need to wait a certain amount of time before it works Sprint to Sprint, or? Has anyone else seen this before? I should mention, it only happens on unanswered calls. If i dismiss the call before it's done ringing, it properly goes to google voicemail.
