How many if you use the pattern lock? How I use my device. I live alone so no one else is going to pick it up at home. I don't let other people borrow it, and don't leave it out at work. I also do not have any of my email except correspondence, and no financial information or online shopping.
I now have lock screen shortcuts so I get tired of having to enter my pin each time to use the shortcuts.

The subject is pretty much it. With pattern lock security enabled, what happens during an incoming call? Must you enter the pattern to pick up the call, or can you simply press "Send"?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo two days ago while i was in the gym, i dropped a dumbbell and unfortunately it landed right on my Driod Razr M. So the screen has no functionality what so ever, i cant reset it or anything, broken. It was rooted and I loved all my settings on it. I have a pattern unlock for it and such, however, USB debugging is disabled (worst thing ever, second to it breaking) So i want all of my data off my old phone and into my new one. Is there anyway from my laptop that I can get all of my data off it and onto my new Driod Razr M? Any way i can bypass my pattern lock, and get everything back?

I was messing around with using CM9 and I like it but it isn't up for the kind of usage I'd like to use it for so I went back to CM7. One thing I really liked about CM9 was the pattern lock dots- On ICS they are a lot thinner and look slicker, whilst on GB they are thick and bulky and I dislike them.
So my question is; Would it be possible to flash a zip in CWM to change the pattern lock dots on my device? Or any other method?
Is there a setting that allows you to have the JV slider and then followed by your choice of security lock, and without using a third party app like widgetlocker or Go Locker?

Also I cannot use ADB method since I have not enabled USB Debugging. Needless to say it was soon forgotten. I've tried the gmail reset but it says the details are incorrect even though I can sign in with them on my PC. My guess is that it can't connect to gmail for authentication due to the firewall I'm using.

On this screen there was the background I had set for my home/lock page and also there were some other information (time, date, battery status when charging, etc.).
Yesterday I've (finally) bought an HTC Sensation XE (in USA known as Rezound) which has Android 2.3.4. Here on pattern lock screen there is no background, only a black color and also no other info as I was used to with Android 2.2.1.
Do You know if there is some setting or workaround to just have a normal background image I have set for my home/lock screen or is this option totally gone here and the black is only I can get?
got my phone (htc desire x) locked again (yes, I am stupid sometimes ).First time it wasn't a big problem to me, just adb into it an set a pattern value to 0 an boom, lockscreen bypassed. Problem : since then, the androidversion got updated from 4.0 to 4.1 and it doesn't work any more.

Not rooted.
no custom recovery installed.
USB debugging enabled.
is it possible to bypass the Google lock screen on an android 4.1 device? Tried different funny things like pushing home button or calling myself, then some more komplex ways with adb commands and so on, but all of them lead me in the end to either a custom recovery or root.if there is a way to get a CR on an locked device? Or how to adb pull some files from the data section? And I read something about adb'ing into the device in recovery and removing the security settings, what about something like that? I don't want to steal anything, if I would like to steal the phone, I would just resetting it
My friend's little sister was playing with this device and she somehow lock the device. Now, when I turn on the tab it asks for gmail account and password.. (which my friend tried his own and no luck with google verifcation etc). Is there anyway to reset this device?
In this device there is no custom or stock recovery. Just a dead android sign when open recovery nothing else. Also I cannot tick USB debugging from the settings because I cannot access the OS.
How to reset this device? Is there any hardware solution or tutorial available to factory reset any android device?

I'm loving my Nexus 5, my first Android phone. I use Pattern Lock. I want to disable Pattern Lock when I'm at my home wifi. I did some research and it looks like apps can only turn off Pattern Lock when the phone is rooted. Is this true? I don't want to root my phone and I'd rather not have to enter Pattern Lock a hundred times a day.
