I keep trying to setup Skype in Fring, and it has a spinning circle above the SKP logo for about 5 minutes until it says that it cannot log into Skype. I tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything. I know some are having the same issues and reporting them on the Fring site, but I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.

So now that Skype is dead for Fring, it's pretty damn useless for video calls. I was wondering though, is there a Fring app for PC? So I can call someone on my Evo (using Fring) to there PC (they're using Fring)?

I have done some searches, but I can't seem to find this answer. I want to do an EVO to EVO call using Fring and have video while on the call. I have read about the Swype issue and Fring but I thought I read you could do an EVO to EVO Fring video call using just Fring. However, on the test call I have a choice of the video button, but when I try and call my daughter who is set up, I don't get a video button to hit like on the test call, just the phone call button?

I had to delete Skype from my Mac as it was causing problems (still dont' know why) but anyway I downloaded fring to use skype from my phone. But I'm not sure how to go about adding skype contacts?
It says add contacts but when I type their name in it's looking for them on Fring not skype. What do I do?

All I get is "call terminated" when I pick up and the connection is established. Tried initiating the video call from both ends (PC and EVO) with the same result. anyone?
have not tried on 4G yet since it;s dead at home (have it at the office and couple of streets down from my house - maybe I'll take a walk tonight?)
UPDATE:
-when initiating the call from the PC it rings on the phone and I only get "call terminated" when I pick it up on the EVO
- when initiating the call from the EVO it rings once and it hangs up (does not ring on the PC and I cannot answer it)
doing a restart of the EVO right now
UPDATE 2:
alright, a power off and on of the EVO did it.

I have tried to do a video call via AIM through Fring and it always gives me the message "video calling is not supported by AIM", which I know is not true because I video call on my laptop through AIM.

So far it seems solid to me but it does seem like there is a delay when calling or receiving calls via Skype on the Droid. It seems like there might be a delay when receiving messages on Skype as well. Hows it perform on other android phones?

The video works great (albeit odd because it's back camera only) but only the receiving party can hear the caller (the caller can't hear the receiver). Is this by design (a limitation in fring) or a bug?

I am a complete beginner at this HTTP stuff so bear with me! I have looked around for tutorials and example code to try and log in to an online banking system. Here is my code. I believe I may have to add some auth code in the header or some more parameters.
[HIGH]public class PostData extends AsyncTask<Void, String, Boolean> {
Context ourContext;
public PostData(Context c) {
ourContext = c;
}
[code]....
It will always return 200 for me no matter what the username and password is! so I do not think the page is being executed properly!

I know quite a few of you have been testing Fring with other members yesterday using the new video chat feature.Well, considering me and my old man both bought EVO's yesterday we did video chat with each other on Fring and while we could hear each other, there was A LOT of audio feedback and we aren't sure from where. He was in the garage, I was in a room on the opposite side of the house both very quiet areas.Just wondering if anyone else has a lot of audio feedback using Fring video chat?

I am trying to log into you tube using the following code
mService = new YouTubeService("Nothing", developer_key);
//Authentication try { mService.setUserCredentials(mUsername, mPassword); } catch (AuthenticationException e) { Log.v(TAG, e.toString()); }
but I am getting: ConnectYouTube: com.google.gdata.util.AuthenticationException: Error connecting with login URI. This code seems pretty basic to me and I can't figure out what mistake am I making here.

I have a pretty big library I developed specifically for use in my Android Application. However business logic itself has no dependency on Android. To preserve that, I used Commons Logging throughout this library and it's respective JUnit tests (which I run in Eclipse).
However now that I am starting to integrate it into an Activity which I launch on Android, I am unable to get my logging to work. In Eclipse/JUnit, I had simply pulled in log4j's jar file as well as a log4j.properties file. This doesn't seem to work when deploying to a device. After struggling with attempting to get that to work for several hours, I gave up and tried replacing all my commons logging stuff with android.util.Log. Now I can log on the device.. but all JUnit tests are broken. When any JUnit tries to log using android.util.Log, it throws a RuntimeException 'Stub!'.
I would prefer to revert to my commons logging approach.. if anyone can help with that.. otherwise.. what can I do to get my JUnit test cases running using 'android.util.Log'?

I am no good with hardware concepts. So I have this probably very silly doubt.
I want to add Log to my application. When running on an emulator, I know where to see the Log output - it's visible in the Logcat window of Eclipse.
I want to know where I can see these logs when I run it on a hardware device. I am using following command to load my app on to the device : ./adb install helloWorld.apk
So where will the log be created and under what name?
