Jul 22, 2010Anyway to choose which folders get synced/pushed to? Currently it is just the "Inbox" and most of my email goes into other folders.

General :: 4.1.2 Nexus S - Identifying Exchange Folders?
Jun 3, 2013I have set this phone up with my works exchange server without hassle but Ive found that the list that appears when I try to move an email sorts by name rather than by the structure as per exchange.
Ie if I have a couple of root folders and all contain a folder such as staffing - when I go to move an email to a folder on my nexus s its sorted by name so I have 3 staffing folders in a row and no way to identify which belongs to which.

Jul 19, 2010I took the plunge and returned my iPhone 4 today and got the SC. As a past Blackberry user as well I have basic functionality needs of a email app and this may be the deal breaker. I have my Exchange account setup and working however when I open or select an email there is no option to move the email to a folder. So am I blind or screwed! My brother has an HTC Incredible and his has an option to Move. Did Samsung hide it?

Jun 21, 2010I'm using Touchdown for email, but it doesn't seem to be syncing any of my subfolders until I open them. Since I automatically filter lots of email into subfolders, it's a pain to manually refresh each of them to see if I have new mail. Maybe I'm just missing a configuration setting.

Sep 1, 2010New to Andriod but seem to have figures most out, ...but.. I have added my hotmail account under the mail app standard on the sonyericsson x10, and the mail is comming through, but when I delete it on the web or laptop it does not delete it on phone neither does it update that I have read the email. It does sync but emails stay on phone. Any body have a fix or answer for me?
Also I have several folders in my hotmail account, the phone only displays Inbox, drafts, outbox, sent, trash. How do I get the rest of the folders on the phone?

Dec 30, 2009Setting up my email account was easy to do. I'm having a problem (or I'm not understanding) the email app that came with the phone. I only see three folders
INBOX
SEND
TRASH
How do I create additional folders? Also, how do I get all my emails in my inbox to display?? I am only seeing the recent emails, or the ones that were just received. I need to be able to see the emails from earlier today, yesterday, last week, etc..... How do I do this? Can emails be stored to the card? Can we change the text setting from an html format to just a standard text format? Where can I find a the complete instructions on the email app?

Nov 10, 2010Ok at work i was asked to find the best android email app that is specifically looking at calendar event usage and multiple email folders and use of exchange 2010 and 2003. Ofcourse i said use the stock one because i know that works fine on my HTC Evo but since i work at I.T at CMU they know i do alot of stuff with android phones they want me to fine all the possible ones that will work with all android phones and the ones that work best.

Nov 4, 2010I have been using my EVO for approximately 2-months now. I have 3 seperate email accounts but am having a problem when forwarding emails from my Corporate Exchange Server account. When forwarding an email the recepient receives the forwarded email as a .eml attachment. My other accounts forward the actual email and all settings are the same.Is there something else I need to set different on this email account?
HTC EVO 4G :: Exchange No Longer Getting Email
Aug 22, 2010Second time this has happened since I installed Froyo. For no apparent reaason, the Evo will just stop getting email from my Exchange account. No settings were changed or anything. The only way to get it back is to reset the phone to factory settings.

When setting up the second phone for my spouse (employer uses Server 2007), the username/password cannot be authenticated. Went into manual setup and had same issue. Bottom line, cannot set this up. Sep 8, 2010I notice my exchange email account does not allow folder sync other than the inbox. I see an app called Touchdown, but it appears to be a demo unless you shell out the cash for the app. Am I missing anything or is this the only avenue to get full exchange support?

Aug 21, 2010I succeeded in setting up exchange email on my nexus one.The things that bothers me a bit is that I can only select to sync emails from the last week/month/etc.In some cases I want to look at an old email to perform my work.It's great how with IMAP email you can scroll down and just press a button to read more emails. Is there anything similar for exchange? Or at least some workaround?

Jun 22, 2010When I first got my Evo, I had no problems setting up the HTC mail client with my work email, using Exchange. Due to random restarts, I had to do a hard reset, and now I keep getting "Failed to create the account. Please try again later." This has been happening for the past few days since I did the hard reset.
When I initially set it up, I just put in my work email and password and had no problems. Now, I've tried every configuration possible in both normal and manual setup. Anyone got any other ideas?

Jun 14, 2010I'm one who has not bought into all the iPhone and ipad Apple hype. And now that AT&T announced they would limit there data plans I'm even less of a fan.
So I've been using my corporate Blackberry.. I rarely surf on the phone - if ever to just use it to quickly prove a point or get some basic GPS navigation. Basically I use it as a phone, email device and calendar. Occasionaly to take a picture too.
I've not been too excited to change until now.
I understand the Evo can be used as a mobile hotspot at 4g? WOW! Anybody using it to serve wifi for a PS3 online game from it ? does it really work?
What about corporate push email? Will it work with Exchange ActiveSync to keep my Outlook email and calendars current on the phone? What about Gmail and yahoo push email? Will pushing emails from these three servers drain my battery?
How widespread is the Sprint 4g network? Any chance of getting 4g in places like Gainesville, FL, Macon, GA, Helen, Georgia?
HTC Incredible :: EMail Stopped Syncing With Exchange
Nov 20, 2010Earlier today my phone stopped automatically syncing with my work Microsoft Exchange. Yesterday was perfect ( I have had the phone for 3 months all ways synced before). I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

Jan 22, 2010I have a Motorola Milestone (aka Droid). I've managed to set up my Milestone to sync my work contacts and calandar via exchange. However, I cannot get my email for some reason - and there's no error message to point me in the right direction. I've tried sending emails too, and that doesn't work. They just sit in my outbox, no matter how many times I refresh. Obviously, I've tried all the obvious things - double checked my settings (which must be ok, given my Calander and Contacts synced, plus I can get to the global address book). I've tried to refresh the mailbox, but nothing happens. When I go to 'Accounts' there is an orange line next to my work account, which perhaps means something is wrong. I wondered if it's perhaps my work's firewall blocking me but again, if I can get into my calander and contacts.
