Oct 2, 2010Is there a way to disable text messages being saved as draft when I hit the back button?

View 1 Replies**** K9 mail. Instead of saving drafts on replied messages it will just send the draft to the person.
You can verify this by writing an email to your self, then reply to the received email.
Tap your power button to power off the screen.
Wait a few seconds and return.
You'll find you just sent the draft to yourself.
Ok I can't find my draft box. I was going to send a text and i didn't finish it and it said it saved it in my draft in box.
Where is it? and how do I find it?
I got my Droid Eris about a month ago and after hating it for a few days, I love it! I do get frustrated that there's no instruction book with it. All the things I've learned have either been by accident or someone else showing me. Can someone tell me how to retrieve "draft" text messages? Yesterday I was interrupted while typing a message and saw a pop-up that it was saved to drafts, but I've looked everywhere and can't figure out how to find it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI should've known better than to update Handcent. It was working fine before. I just installed the latest update (been available for a while though) the other day, and ever since i'm unable to send MMS messages. Naturally, Handcent must resize the pics prior to me sending them, which is normal. But when it shows it's resizing, it goes back to the main messaging screen and "saves message as draft". Since Handcent doesn't have any option for drafts, i have to use the stock app to access drafts then send the message. If i've already got a convo open and attach a pic, it still saves as draft but is accessible from the main screen as usual.
I also noticed if i take a pic, or select a pic from the gallery then choose to share it via Handcent, it never opens Handcent and reverts back to the camera again. Anyone else having odd issues like this or know how to resolve it?
Why do I have to view my texts as conversations? I like to see them in the order they came in. Why do texts with picture and video attached not 'play'? Instead, they show up as having attachments (a song and a picture). Why can I not figure out how to save a draft? I typed a message but decided I was not ready to send. Had to "discard" and retype later.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to do the following:
A user is viewing content/page on my View/Activity, and I have an email button, they select "email" and popup a prefilled in email/ subject asking for the to: address....or some way to launch teh default email client with a pre-composed email awaiting the sender to be filled in.. . .ala, "check out this link/content'....
Possible? I can see how to do a mailto:// link, but trying to leverage the built-in contacts and email app, but to compose and stuff the email contents with contents.
Is there a draft or save mode for txts before sending?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis just started in the last day or so, but sometimes when I compose a message and send it out, gmail still shows a draft copy along with a sent copy. Happened twice today, had to manually delete the draft copy. Shows up in the phone drafts and online in draft folders. Its getting annoying.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia now 8 days old. Its an upgrade from 3. Its proving to be the worse phone I have ever had!! The battery life is terrible, fully charged yet went off half way through my shift? What I am have been having major problems with and cant figure it out for the life of me is how to forward a text and delete a draft message? I just cant figure it out! Forward a message? how do I access the names or the phonebook? theres always only the contact that sent me the text in the first place or one i use frequently. and i have a draft i cant get rid of unless i send the **** thing. this phone is so frustrating to me because texting and facebook are my main objectives when purchasing a phone. facebook: when i tap on notifications it tells me constantly there is an error. now i told the salesman in the shop what the main uses of my mobile are and so far I am extremely disappointed with this mobile phone, i have been mis-sold! Can someone please put me out my misery so I can appreciate this little phone a bit more!

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe don't officially have 4G in Denver yet, but I've found two locations that I get a good 4G signal:
Near Elitch Gardens (LoDo)
I-36 near Sheridan
So the other day I was messing around with the 4g and accidentally turned off the "Mobile Network" option in Settings > Wireless & networks. When I was in the 4G area I didn't notice because everything worked fine. But when I left the area, I had NO DATA coverage.
Of course I thought that the Sprint network was down (3G) maybe due to upgrading and eventually called Sprint to see what the deal was. Of course eventually realized that the network wasn't down so it was my phone. Was going to be driving by a Sprint store anyway, so I stopped in. Rep noticed my stupid error right away and re-enabled the "Mobile Network" and data came back to life instantly.
But that got me thinking... Did I really have 4G working without the "Mobile Network" enabled? If so, that means that when I'm in a solid 4G area, I can disable "Mobile Network" and save some battery.
Was I imagining this? Or can you really turn off 3G to save battery while on 4G (or Wi-Fi)?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs part of my widget, I use an instance of the Camera object.
This is what I want to do. The user will click on my widget, I get an instance of the Camera(if it's not already stored), use it, then store it. If they click the widget again, I want to use that same instance that I used previously.
I can't release the Camera(android.hardware.Camera) until the user clicks on the widget the second time. So the user clicks on the widget the first time, I get the camera and hold on to it until they click the widget again.
The problem I am running into is on the second click, I am trying to get the Camera again, which I can't because I currently have it in use.
I am aware of how to save pics with the EVO. My new challenge is saving HTML pics. I received an email with HTML images and I can't figure out how to save.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid 3 and I'm attempting to backup my texts and save them to my pc so I can print them out if I need.I have downloaded SMS Backup and Restore and PhoneLeash. From what I've gathered, Phoneleash only emails the texts that have been sent/received after the app has been installed. I do like the organization of the texts, though. For Backup, I have gotten my texts backed up and saved to my SD card. When plugged into my pc, I've been able to open it up in XML format, but the texts are so hard to read, due to all the coding. Also, it doesn't organize the messages very well. It put all the texts I've sent together and all the other person's texts together. It would take a long time to get them organized correctly. So my question is, is there any app the works like SMS Backup, but organizes like PhoneLeash?how to make Backup organize the texts correctly?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am planning on buying a new Android phone in place of my old ageing Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE. I'm choosing between the Nexus 5, HTC One (M7) and the Galaxy S4. One thing that is common to these phones are they both have Snapdragon processors.
My question is:
1. Is it wise or even practical to even install a battery-saving app for these phones? (as I heard such apps does work but also is a drain to the batteries themselves and resources/RAM)
2. What battery-saving app recommended? (I know I can easily search in Google or the Play store but there are just hundreds of them. I want to trickle it down to the "best of the best" or the "top one" out there currently?
i dont know if anyone has had this problem or not on a Motorola CLIQ, But When i Get A picture Message And I save it, it gives a little notification saying that it saved to the SD card, and everything seems fine and dandy. but when i Go to the picture gallery, the photo isn't there. -__- sometimes it will take forever, but it shows up eventually, and sometimes it doesnt even do that. This also happens sometimes when i save a picture from the web browser.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have developed a simple application that on certain events sends an SMS to ppl from my address book. All works perfectly Except there is no trace of the SMS sent. I know that the SMS gets delivered - I have tested it but eventually I would like to have a trace of what was sent. I have tried giving write permission but it didn't help. Is there something special I have to do?
View 8 Replies View Relatedan away-message app called Siesta Text. (this msg ain't spam by the way! i'm truly psyched on the thing). anyhow, this thing sends auto-replies to anyone who calls or sends you texts (if you have it on). my buddy at AOL said he was using a similar one for a while, but Siesta was way cleaner + easier. also, apparently the fact that you can program them to repeat for up to a year is a big deal (?)
i just switched from iPhone to Droid and downloaded it yesterday. have had it for exactly 1 day and it's literally changing my life. anyhow, thought anyone who's interested in saving time (and not feeling the burden of having to respond immediately to everyone) would enjoy it. also, by the looks of their site, they ain't got one for iPhone, so screw you again Apple! again, i JUST joined this board and am probably way late to the party, but check it out!
I have the camera set to save on the SD Card. However, when I take pictures it still stores it on the device memory. Why is that? Is this a known error?
