New Droid owner here. This is probably easier than I am making it but I'd like to know where the sent, deleted, draft section of my texts is. Inbox is there of course but not the rest.

Why do I have to view my texts as conversations? I like to see them in the order they came in. Why do texts with picture and video attached not 'play'? Instead, they show up as having attachments (a song and a picture). Why can I not figure out how to save a draft? I typed a message but decided I was not ready to send. Had to "discard" and retype later.

But the messages are showing up still in the messaging app, ( i thought i enabled only gosms) and of course, when i delete them, they get deleted in gosms too

View 16 Replies View RelatedI went to try and open a message but the app kept bringing up an error and I'd have to force close it. The screen would then switch to my home screen but with no shortcuts just a background then after a second go black until I hit the home button. I restarted the phone and when I opened messaging ALL my conversations were gone. Is this a known glitch? is there a way to get all my texts back?

I've had it for 2 1/2+ months and it has done it twice, leading me to believe that it happens every month, regularly, because it always happens at the beginning of the month. The last time it happened, I brought it to the Verizon store but all they do is blame the consumer for any faults with software because Android is open source. Is there a way to get my texts back and how can I solve this problem? Is there an app that deletes text messages every month or so because of a hidden setting? Is there a solution to this problem without reformatting (I have my contacts, calendar, and a bunch of other stuff on my phone and also apps and I don't wanna delete anything).

All the things I've learned have either been by accident or someone else showing me. Can someone tell me how to retrieve "draft" text messages? Yesterday I was interrupted while typing a message and saw a pop-up that it was saved to drafts, but I've looked everywhere and can't figure out how to find it.

A user is viewing content/page on my View/Activity, and I have an email button, they select "email" and popup a prefilled in email/ subject asking for the to: address....or some way to launch teh default email client with a pre-composed email awaiting the sender to be filled in.. . .ala, "check out this link/content'....
Possible? I can see how to do a mailto:// link, but trying to leverage the built-in contacts and email app, but to compose and stuff the email contents with contents.
Ok I can't find my draft box. I was going to send a text and i didn't finish it and it said it saved it in my draft in box.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI should've known better than to update Handcent. It was working fine before. I just installed the latest update (been available for a while though) the other day, and ever since i'm unable to send MMS messages. Naturally, Handcent must resize the pics prior to me sending them, which is normal. But when it shows it's resizing, it goes back to the main messaging screen and "saves message as draft". Since Handcent doesn't have any option for drafts, i have to use the stock app to access drafts then send the message. If i've already got a convo open and attach a pic, it still saves as draft but is accessible from the main screen as usual.
I also noticed if i take a pic, or select a pic from the gallery then choose to share it via Handcent, it never opens Handcent and reverts back to the camera again. Anyone else having odd issues like this or know how to resolve it?
So; How do I delete a draft when I'm texting? Anybody knows...?

Happened twice today, had to manually delete the draft copy. Shows up in the phone drafts and online in draft folders. Its getting annoying.

The battery life is terrible, fully charged yet went off half way through my shift? What I am have been having major problems with and cant figure it out for the life of me is how to forward a text and delete a draft message? I just cant figure it out! Forward a message? how do I access the names or the phonebook? theres always only the contact that sent me the text in the first place or one i use frequently. and i have a draft i cant get rid of unless i send the **** thing. this phone is so frustrating to me because texting and facebook are my main objectives when purchasing a phone. facebook: when i tap on notifications it tells me constantly there is an error. now i told the salesman in the shop what the main uses of my mobile are and so far I am extremely disappointed with this mobile phone, i have been mis-sold! You can verify this by writing an email to your self, then reply to the received email.
Tap your power button to power off the screen.
Wait a few seconds and return.
You'll find you just sent the draft to yourself.
I have an app which I think could be in the featured section of the Android Market and was wondering the best way to proceed. The application is Scan2PDF Mobile which uses your phone's camera to "scan" documents and make PDF files which can be saved or emailed from the phone. The pages are enhanced and compressed and then made into a multi-page PDF. Think of it as having a scanner, photocopier and fax machine in your pocket/Sicen Scan2PDF Mobile has been on the Adroid market it is proving very popular, getting an average rating of 4.7. It is unlike any other app on the market and in our opinion would be a good candidate for the featured list - so how do we go about it?

I've looked at Jeff Sharkey's SeparatedListAdapter and CommonsWare's MergeAdapter as examples of how to achieve this, and I now have a solution which works by providing a separate adapter for the content of each section. This creates a big performance problem, though. In my case, there are potentially thousands of items in the list, each with an associated date, and I want to use the date as section heading for all the items with that date. So, without section headings, I'd have a single Cursor which returns the items sorted by date. Nice and easy. With section headings, I'm currently doing this: One Cursor to select all distinct dates in the dataset. For each distinct date, a separate Cursor to return the items matching that date. Pour the dates (section headings) and separate SimpleCursorAdapters for each date's items, into my custom adapter.

Whilst it was in the "Just In" section I was seeing decent download numbers, but since then interest seems to have dropped off significantly. I think now people can only find my app through a specific keyword search, which doesn't make me particularly confident about it ever becoming popular.
What can you do when your app has passed the 'Just In' stage but has not reached the 'Featured' stage? The majority of applications seem to be in this middle stage so I think other people must have a similar problem. It seems like the 'Featured' section just makes the popular apps more popular, and makes it really difficult for newer apps to ever catch up with them. Does anyone know if the situation with the Apple App Store is any different?
It seems to be possible to refresh your app and make it appear in the 'Just In' section again if you update it sometime after, but I can't find any real guidelines on this. Is anyone familiar with the specific rules for this, and is repeatedly riding the 'Just In' buzz the only viable strategy for a new app?
