HTC EVO 4G :: What's Difference Between DX / Evo?
Aug 2, 2010A friend called me the other day wondering which was better, the Evo or the DX. I told her that they were pretty much the same phone, but go with Evo for 4G and cheaper plan.But aside from those two things, how are the two phones different? I mean, they really aren't that much, are they? It must be just really little things.

Nov 29, 2010My DX came with Android 2.2 v2.3.15. I flashed my first ROM, the rubiX Blurry 1.5.2 and when I checked my settings it said I was on Android 2.2 v2.3.15. Yesterday I flashed this rubiX Blurry 1.6.3 ANDROID DOES EXCLUSIVE and now it says I'm on Android 2.2.1 v2.3.20. How is that possible, I never flashed the new SBF leak file? Is there a difference between 2.3.20 & 2.3.320? Or did he just edit the build.prop and rename the os and build.

Sep 23, 2010I use Baked Snack 1.7 and I tried the deodexed version of the OTA but noticed no change. Infact I found the OTA would stutter sometimes when scrolling. Also compared to CM6 and Neterchy kernel 4.1.9.1 I don't see it being same or better besides it being official. I know pretty soon the devs will have their own version but for now I don't see a reason to update.

I was wondering if there's a way to know if it's a referb or brand new. They told me that they would note my account stating that I requested a new phone and not a referb, but they couldn't promise anything as they just take the next availible Inc (new or refurb) and process the order.
The rep also said that there aren't alot of parts floating around to mass produce refurbs..
