HTC EVO 4G :: Can Use Launcher Pro / When Get Froyo?
Jul 30, 2010Will I see the differences if I use launcher pro when I get Froyo? Maybe speed wise. But not the additional features right? Ie... widgets, new photo album etc.

HTC EVO 4G :: Stock Froyo Launcher
Aug 1, 2010I like the stock android launcher in Froyo, so since it isnt included i found the APK for it on XDA. It installed fine and everything but when i click the phone icon it says "this application is not installed on your device" or whatever. I'm assuming its looking for the stock froyo phone app. Anyone know of an APK out there for this, or any other way to fix this? I'd like to use that launcher but its kind of pointless if the phone button doesn't work.

May 29, 2010to make the AWD Launcher look just like Froyo, create 2 Bettercut shortcuts (yes, unfortunately you have to purchase Bettercut yah, it's ugly).Make one that points to Phone and choose this icon:Drag that into your left hotspot.Make one that points to Internet and choose this icon:Drag that into your right hotspot.now go into Settings and change the AB Scale Factor to "8".I extracted these icons myself out of a Froyo build...so they are the real deal. Enjoy!

Aug 11, 2010First Impressions of Android 2.2 for the DROID Incredible | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog That article stated that you if you cleared the defaults for the home button in Sense Froyo, that it wouldnt let you select a different launcher (widget locker, launcher pro etc). Does this mean I can't use launcher pro on sense froyo? If not, does someone know of a stable ROM they're using that does allow this? I just rooted my phone today for the first time, and am getting the Froyo itch.

Aug 15, 2010LauncherPro hides the dialer button that you get in stock Froyo, and when I hit the Call button, it pulls up call history. Is there a way to change what comes up when I hit the call button? The only sense feature i miss is the dialer (minus the lag). I hate having to hit the search button or scroll through the list to find the contact I want to dial.

As most of you know that after downloading it, pressing the home button gives you the option of which home screen launcher that you want to..well.. launch..either HTC Sense or Launcher Pro. Well this morning I picked Launcher Pro, but accidently clicked the "don't ask me this again" box before that, so now I'm stuck on Launcher Pro and can't get back to my, or any, HTC Sense launcher. I've gone all through my settings and can't figure it out. I'd like to either get back to my old HTC Sense home screen, get to the DEFAULT HTC Sense homescreen, or get back to being able to have the option to pick which one I want to launch.

Jul 20, 2010I've been using LP for about a week (it's great BTW!) and this just started to happen so it could have something to do with the latest update. I've set LP at the default launcher and everything works great. However, if I ever long press the "home" button, go to an application, then press "home" again I get the popup asking me which launcher I want to use. I check the "set as default" box then select LP and everything is good again. It all works until I long press home the next time, then the remembered default is gone and I get the prompt again. I've tried rebooting, clearing defaults, etc.

Dec 21, 2009Intuitit has release another home replacement app called Launcher++. It is a stripped down version of Home++. Doesn't have the task bar on the bottom and the wrapping screens, it really lets you take the stock home screens and add screens to it. No frills, just more screens. Which works for me. I always like the stock home app, Home++ was great, just didn't need all the bells and whistles. Not I get more screens and it is still lightning fast.
