HTC EVO 4G :: IS Evo4G All It Was Promised To Be?
Jun 20, 2010I have ordered my Evo4G and until recently I haven't heard anything negative about the phone. I wanted to know if real users were actually happy with their Evo4Gs. With problems plaguing them i wasn't sure if i made the right choice on phones.

Nov 18, 2010I was thinking of trading in my xbox 360 and getting the new one with built in Wifi.my plan is to cancel my cable and internet and using the EVOs hotspot feature to run my computer and to play games online on my Xbox.is this posible? has anyone done this? do you guys think that the online games will be laggy? will netflix still look good or will it start buffering?

May 20, 2010I'm curious with all the added fee's that are related with utilizing the EVO to it's maximum potential would it be a "worthy" replacement to my existing internet provided by ATT Uverse? What I'm most concerned about is playing online with my PS3...I currently have a 1.5 mb connection and I see what the EVO Hot Spot advertises but do you guys think I can do without my ATT Uverse wireless connection and let this phone do that job for me? Eliminating a monthly bill and adding these new fee's.

May 12, 2010I've been really intrigued by Swype, when I heard someone say that they could text faster than they could talk using it. So I searched the market for it and there is no Swype in the market? Where can I even get it? I tried downloading an .apk file from Google, but it said my screen resolution wasn't the right size, so they must have different versions for different phones. I also found a trial one on the forums here but it was way expired apparently.

Now when I try to turn swype back on its checked on the settings, but all the keyboards are the Android style ones. But when I'm attempting to download evo swype.apk, it doesn't work.I can open up Astro File manager to show my downloads, but only a .bin file that's 1.77 mb in size is being downloaded.Do you have any ideas how to get past this so I can actually download the Swype keyboard onto my Evo?

IMO slideIT is so much better..
I find it find my words better,,,deals with double letter better..i like how you can go back and it resuggests the word..i like how it puts a word on the line you are typing.. you dont have to look up to see if it guessed the right word..it puts a space before the word not after.. helpful when you forget to put a suffix like -s -ed -ing. they just did a update and its looks better then it did before..

Jun 6, 2010Googling around I found a beta download of Swype. The thing is, I can't for the life of me figure out how to install it. The instructions on the various pages I've found simply state "Transfer the package file to your SD card." Okay, great. So uh, how does one go about doing that? When I plug the Evo into my computer as a disk I'm not seeing any folders that look like they could be the SD card's storage. So how does one move files to it?
